Ⅰ. The main questions of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. How do Korean(including primary school children) and Japanese younger generation respectively use their time in daily life? 2. What are the specific timetables of the above-mentioned younger generations? 3. What kind of advices can we give to the above-mentioned Korean Children and youth or th their parents concerning the plans of daily life? Ⅱ. The Comparative analysis in this article was conducted mainly on the basis of the following two survey reports: 1. Social Survey on the Time Budgets of Korean people, K.B.S., 1981, 1983. 2. Social Survey on the Time Budgets of Japanese People, N.H.K., 1979. Ⅲ. The results of the comparative study can be summarized as following: 1. Korean primary school children spend more time than Japanese children in such areas as 'miscellaneous affairs', 'domestic help', 'friendly associations', 'rest' and 'listening radio'. 2. Japanese primary school children spend more time than Korean Children in 'leisure activities (music, sports, walk, games etc.)', 'enjoying T.V.' and 'sleeping' 3. Korean middle school boys and girls spend more time than Japanese counterparts in 'miscellaneous affairs', 'domestic help', 'friendly associations', and 'rest'. 4. Japanese middle school boys & girls spend more time than Korean students in 'sleeping', 'School work', 'leisure activities', 'reading' and 'enjoying T.V.'. 5. Korean high school students spend more time than Japanese students in 'school work' and 'friendly associations'. 6. Japanese high school students spend more time than Korean students in 'sleeping' and 'enjoying T.V.'. 7. It leads to a conclusion that Korean younger generation waste too much time in unproductive matters. Therefore in seems advisable for them to allocate more time for reading, sports and music. 8. It seems advisable for Korean middle school boys and girls to allocate more time for time for their school work. 9. The analysis lead to a conclusion that the Korean high school students had better use more time for sleep in order to promote their health.
