Sarcoma botryoides of urinary bladder is very rare disease. With advent of Surgery & X-ray irradiation, this tumor is now curative by radical cystectomy, prostatectomy in male and urethral stripping. A case of Sarcoma botryoides of the urinary bladder in 3-year-old boy is reported. Radical surgery including urinary divergence operation was carriod out and posto perative irradiation recommended. The literature on this tumor is briefly reviewed and the tendency of the growth to remain localized for a relatively long time is stresed.

21世紀,良きパ-トナ-としての韓日關係のための文化的探究

21세기 아시아 태평양시대는 한국과 일본 양국이 협력하여 경제력과 문화를 바탕으로 아시아를 주도하여 선진국과 경쟁해 나가야 할 것이다. 특히 5년후 2002년 세계 월드컵 축구대회를 한국과 일본이 공동으로 개최하게 되는데, 이를 계기로 한·일 양국의 관계는 더욱 밀접하게 될 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 인식에 기초하여 본 연구는 서로에게 필요한 이해적 공감대를 갖기 위해서 먼저 해결하지 않으면 안될 문화적 차이점 및 장애요인을 알아보고, 또한 일본의 저력이 어디에서 나왔는지에 대한 그 이유와 교훈을 찾고, 그리고 향후 동반자적 관계를 발전시키기 위한 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 한국의 솔직함과 박력, 그리고 일본인의 단결력과 자기 통제력을 합해 만들어진 이불을 같이 쓰게 되면, 한국인의 허세와 허영, 일본인의 자기지향적 야망이 통제될 수 있어 최고의 경쟁력을 갖추게됨과 동시에 스스로를 중화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 일본의 한국에 대한 지나친 경계심, 역사인식에 대한 부족, 친절의 이중성, 철저한 계산에 의한 거래적 문화 등은 일본이 국제사회에서 거듭날 수 있는 장애요소임은 물론 바람직한 한일관계에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 그럼에도 우리는 일본의 저력인 직업의 민주화, 기록하는 정신, 법도와 절제의 정신, 신뢰성, 근검절약, 질서와 여유, 첨단과학의 생활화, 셀프서비스의 생활화, 자원봉사의 생활화 등은 우리와 명실상부 선진국에 진입하기 위해 배우고 받아들여야 할 교훈이다. 한국인은 보다 겸손해지고 진지하게 배우는 자세로 임해야 할 것이다. 반면에 일본인은 남에게 폐를 기치지 않는 소극적 자세에서 배우는 적극적 자세를 기대한다. 한국인과 일본인의 내면적 구조는 사실상 같은 것이고, 어쩌면 인류전체의 공통적 현상일지도 모른다. 비록 깃발 하나에 응집될 수 있는 결속력을 가진 일본인이라 할지라도 이제 정보화 시대에서는 그러한 자기 중심적 생각만 가지고서는 지금까지와 같은 세월을 향유할 수 없게 될 것이 뻔하므로 이에 대한 재고가 요청된다. 일본인도 가미가제식의 철저한 교육도 죽음에 이르러서는 '천황만세'가 아닌 '어머니(오까상)'를 외칠 수 밖에 없는 우리와 똑같은 인간임을 먼저 인정해야 한다. 사랑이 지배하는 21세기를 기원하며, 역사상에서 펼쳐져 왔던 한·일 양국의 친선과 협조정신을 되살려야 할 것이며, 서로의 양보하에서 대의와 중지를 모아야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 연구자는 1997년 겨울방학동안 일본에 체류하며 현장보고서 형식을 빌리어 문화적 탐색을 시도하였으나 짧은 기간의 경험에 근거하여, 그 통찰력의 한계를 인정할 수 밖에 없다.

This article is to provide a direction for preparing proposals for a revision of and a supplement to the current Trade Transaction Law together with concrete supplemental measures for the purpose, in order to consolidate the trade administration system which is one of the subjects to be urgently resolved. First of all, the essential point of the proposals may reside in the minimization of restriction on export and import, the promotion of trade environment to active trade administration system, the conversion of the system into a statute adequate in the prevailing industrial condition, the positive comprehensive of common trade laws for enhance flexibility to the international economic situations, the unification and abolition of similar laws and rules, and the like. As concrete measures, the following suggestions may be provided: first, the Trade Law must provide only the principle ideas and the main concepts of trade administration, resolutely madating matter of procedure to subordinate provisions; second, the concept of trade should be expanded to add technologies and/or services thereto; third, the Export Union Law and the Industrial Facilities Export Promotion Law have to be merged into the Trade Transaction Law, fourth, the simplification of trade affairs and the mitigation of qualification condition of trader, fifth, the synthesizing and continuity of periodical publication system of export and import should be guaranted; sixth ,the norms for administsation of export must be relaxed; seventh, the provisions in support of export trade should be supplemented; eighth, the rules concerning credit letters are to be unified and a research committee of common trade laws should be organized; ninth, administration activities must be given to the organization in relation with export and import; and tenth, all of the procedures must be simplified and authorities be madated to subordinate provisions. The supplementary measure to the Trade Transaction Law stated above may be a basic subject to progressively be provided in view of the relaxation of the restrictions and the enhancement of self-regularity at the present time that required for internationalization of our economy. The Standard Foms for the Issuing of Documentary Credits, created by the ICC in order to facilitate documentary credit operations and used daily by banks throughout the world, have now been revised so as to meet changing needs in this field. Two major improvements have been made. Henthforth, one and the same form can be used for issuing a credit, regardless of whether it is to be available by payment, by acceptance or by negotiation. And the presentation of the new forms has been harmonized with the layout key developed by th United Nations Economic Commission for Europe; this means that the forms are now aligned with a great many other documents commonly used in international trade. In addition to the forms themselves this publication also includes practical recommendations for printing and using them. The new Standard Forms for the Issuing of Documentary Credits are applicable as of 1st January 1979. It therefore constitutes the indispensable complement to the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (ICC publication no. 290), which are also set out at the end of the Guide to Documentary Credit Operations (ICC publication no. 305)

This treatise is concerned with the attitudes towards religion which Levellers and their leaders had in common and their religious beliefs in relation with the political ideas. I divided these into the three parts. Central to the Leveller programme was the demmand for religious liberty. Their argument was that in matters of religion each man must make up his mind, neither being compelled by the state nor accepting on trust the opinion of another. For many religious radicals religious liberty was the ultimate aim and it could be separated from political liberty; for the Levellers political liberty was the overriding objective but it could not be separated from religious liberty. The Levellers gave strong support to anti-intellectual point of view. They insisted that the people can understand the Bibles better than scholars and clergies. This conclusion seems to be stemmed from the two reasons. Levellers thought that the intellectuals had abused the knowledge by making it difficult and uncertain in order to monopolize it and to dominate and exploit the people. They felt it necessary to make up for the intellectual complex of the middling sort of people because Levellers' political support was founded upon them and their intellectual level was generally low. Levellers care about the practical Christianity. The principle which linked their religious be liefs to politlcal action was the 'golden rule'-'to do unto others as you would be done by'. This ideas of practical Christianity were also derived from the Puritanism, the conversion experience of the Levellers' leaders and the inculcation of Bibles. The important point about practical Christianity was that it was a vague and pragmatic concept providing a strong moral imperative but no precise means of defining forms and procedures.
