현재 시판되고 있는 국산 Polar Zoom Lens 80~200mm(1:3.9) 와 일산 (日産)Nikkor Zoom Lens 80~200mm(1:4)를 실사(室寫)에 의한 화질을 비교하였으며 화질검사 방법은 日本千葉大學 다무라미노루(田村 稔)의 hawlet chart를 이용하였다. Polar Lens나 Nikkor Lens가 모두 평균화질이 6.9였으나 양상 화질 면적은Polar Lens는 86% 이고 Nikkor Lens는 92%가 나왔다. 이것은 국산 Lens의 수준이 국제수준에 도달하였음을 알 수 있었다.

Shince the introduction of machine methods into industry a problem has existed which has never been adequately solved. .... That is to say, there is no difference between the essential qualities of Machine art and abstract art, which is the main style of fine arts in the present day. This problem has been discussed by John Ruskin, William Morris, Herbert Read. In this study, I discussed the artistic value in the modern graphic arts from the standpoint of Herbert Read on the machine art. According to the above-mentioned discussings, we can come to the conclusion as follows 1) The machine art lie at the root of abstract art, and whenever the final product of machine is designed or determined by anyone sensitive to formal values, that product can and does become an abstract work of art in the subtler sense of the term. 2) We must recognize that graphic design is a function of the abstract artist, and the abstract artist must be given a place in the graphic arts in which be is not already established, and his decision on all questions of design must be final. 3) Therefore, the graphic designer must have therough knowledge of graphic arts technology in order to give the artistic value to the objects of machine production.
Colorimetric detection of ssDNA in a solution

A solution containing ssDNA was detected by using colloidal gold nanoparticles upon a color change of solution. First of all, we prepared colloidal gold nanoparticles with a size of less than 20 nm by means of citrate reduction of HAuCl4. Since colloidal gold nanoparticles modified with citrate anions have a negative charge, they are very well dispersed in the solution due to the negative charge repulsion, showing red color. If the electrostatic repulsion is screened by additives such as NaCl, the nanoparticles start to aggregate, leading to a color alteration. We found that the color alteration is retarded when the solution contains ssDNA, which plays a role in preventing the nanoparticles from aggregation. This allows the determination of whether or not ssDNA is present in a solution. However, the color alteration is not retarded when the solution contains dsDNA. 한국 단청 문양 배색에 관한 연구 : 연화머리초를 중심으로 centering around Lotus Molicho

This study aims to present the characteristics of color arrangement in Lotus Moˇlicho that is a typical pattern in Korean Danchoˇng. The Data were collected by 1) investigating the treditional architectures around Pusan. 2) sampling its component colors. 3) measuring the samples, with Munsell Book of color and color meter. 'Ihe data were analyzed by comparing their Munsell hues, values and chromas. The results were as follows. In analyzing data. (1) It was found that the hues of chromatic colors in Lotus Moˇlicho were approximately only 5R, 5Y, 5G, and 5PB, and achromatic colors were N 9.5 and N 2.2. (2) The colors of component patterns were generally arranged by using maximum three kinds of value intervals instead of various hues, and (3) The value interval of 1st step showed approximately 2 or 3, and the other steps showed approximately 1. (4) As a whole. Lotus Moˇricho produced an extreme contrast by alternately repeating warm and cool colors, but it could recover a complete harmony by unequal value intervals, in each component pattern. As a result, by above the characteristics. Lotus Moˇlicho created not only rhythmical variety and complete harmony, but also color perspective.
