현진건 장편번역소설 「백발」 연구

본 논문은 현진건의 장편번역소설 백발(1921) 의 원작과 저본을 밝히고, 이를 통해 현진건의 작가론 및 한국 근대번역번안문학 연구의 폭을 넓히고자 했다. 이 소설은 내용으로 미루어 보아 알렉상드르 뒤마의 소설 몽테 크리스토 백작 의 번안이라고 막연히 추정되어 왔으나, 이는 오류이다. 백발 의 원작은 영국 소설가 마리 코렐리의 복수(1886) 이고, 저본은 일본 작가 구로이와 루이코의 번안 백발귀(1893) 이다. 영국 빅토리아 시대 인기 작가였던 마리 코렐리의 작품을 일본의 구로이와 루이코가 번안했고, 당시 ≪조선일보≫의 기자였던 현진건이 구로이와 루이코의 일역본을 다시 우리말로 옮긴 것이다. 백발 의 원작과 저본의 확인은 현진건의 작품 연보를 수정 보완하고 문학 활동을 재조명함으로써, 현진건의 문학 세계를 보다 다각도에서 조망할 가능성을 제시한다.<br/> 또한 본 논문은 이 소설의 연재 및 출간을 둘러 싼 자료를 분석함으로써, 신문기자 현진건의 번역 활동이 소설가 현진건의 문학관과는 별개로 이루어졌음을 밝히는 한편, 이 소설이 지닌 독자 호응 요소에 대해서도 고찰했다. 현진건은 독자층의 범위와 작품의 성격에 따라 원작자명 및 역자명 표기, 작중인물명 설정을 달리하였다. 이는 번역가로서 현진건이 소설가와 신문기자라는 이중의 정체성을 지니고 있었음을 말해 준다. 신문기자의 역할을 극대화하여 번역한 백발 은 당대의 시대적 상황 및 독자들의 요구와 부합하여 인기 있는 대중소설로 자리매김할 수 있었다. This paper proposes to clarify the two sources of Hyun Jin-geon’s full-length translation novel Gray Hair, which are the original text and the adapted version from which Hyun’s novel was translated again, respectively. Accordingly this paper is expected to widen the breadth of research on Hyun’s literature and Korea’s translation/adaptation literature in the modern era. Gray Hair, judging from the content, has been vaguely estimated as adapted from the French novel Le Comte de Monte-Cristo. I argue, however, that the original text of Gray Hair is the British novelist Marie Corelli’s Vendetta (1886) and that Gray Hair was not the direct adaptation from the original but translated from another text that is the Japanese writer Ruiko Kuroiwa’s Gray Haired Ghost (1893). Ruiko Kuroiwa adapted the work of Marie Corelli the popular British writer in<br/> the Victorian era, and Hyun Jin-geon, a newspaper reporter for Chosun Ilbo at that time, translated the Ruiko Kuroiwa’s Japanese adaptation into Korean again.<br/> The clarification of the two sources of Hyun Jin-geon’s Gray Hair―the British original text and the Japanese adaptation as the second-handed source for Korean translation, respectively―suggests the possibility to correct or supplement the chronological listings of Hyun’s literary works and, therefore, overlook his literary world more fully and from different angles. In addition, by analyzing the records and documents surrounding the serial installments in newspaper and publication of Gray Hair, this paper, on one hand, examines that translation work of Hyun as a journalist was made independently of his literary career as a novelist. Concerning the translated text, we can understand that Hyun had different attitude to the target, which he translated, based on certain standards. He arranged different settings for the notation of author's name, translator's<br/> name, and character's names in the translated texts in accordance with the range readership and the artistry of the work. This tells us Hyun has dual identity as a novelist and a newspaper reporter. <br/> On the other hand, the contemporary reader’s response to serial translation novels in newspaper is also investigated in this paper. Such textural and contextual study on Gray Hair is expected to contribute to further efforts to investigate the nature of Korea’s translation and adaptation literature in the modern era.

제국의 그늘에 출몰하는 역사의 유령들: 하인즈 인수 펭클의 내 유령 형의 기억들 과 “유령”의 정치학

『내 유령 형의 기억들』은 독일계 미국인 아버지와 한국인 어머니 사이에서 태어난 펭클이 자신이 유년기를 보냈던 1960년대 부평의 미군기지촌을 배경으로 혼혈아들과 그 가족들 등 기지촌 사람들의 이야기를 담은 자전적소설이다. 이들은 미국의 제국주의 및 한국의 민족주의적 역사의 변경을 떠도는 “벌거벗은 생명”(barelife)들로 탈냉전의 시대에 여전히 출몰하여 현재의 우리들을 역사와 주체가 촘촘히 얽혀 있는 사회적 삶의 영역으로 다시이끌어 기억을 환기시키고 변화를 향한 인식을 독력하는 역사의 유령이라고 할 수 있다. 펭클은 자신의 문학적 작업을 통해 주류 역사에서 잊혀진 이들의 존재를 현실의 영역으로 다시 불러들임으로써 층층이 쌓여 있는 기억의 퇴적층을 재발굴하여 역사의 기억을 다시 쓰고자 한다.

『도리안 그레이의 초상』 : 세기말 영국을 비추는 다층적 거울

오스카 와일드는 사실주의에 대해 회의적이었다. 그러나 그의 유일한 소설『도리안 그레이의 초상』은 그의 문학 세계가 가진 미학적 현실성에 대한 논의를 가능하게 한다. 이와 관련하여 이 논의는 크게 두 가지의 측면에서 소설을 조명하고자 한다. 첫째, 그의 문학 세계가 가지고 있는 문학의 사회 비평성에 대해 논의한다. 이 문학의 사회비평성은 와일드의 제국주의에 대한 비판적 시각과 세기말 영국의 귀족사회에 대한 비판적 시각을 담고 있으며 소설의 내연적 범위 내에서 논할 수 있는 그의 현실 인식과 그것이 소설에서 표현된 양상에 관한 연구이다. 이 논의의 두 번째 주요한 측면은 와일드의 문학 세계와 그가 연루된 1895년의 소송을 되짚어 봄으로써 소설과 19세기법의 문화사의 연관성에 대해 논하는 과정에서 그의 소설이 문학 외연에서 지닐 수 있는 정치적, 사회 비평적 성격에 대해 논해보는 것이다. 이 논의는 기존의『도리안 그레이의 초상』의 연구에서 다소 미흡했던 학문간 융합적 연구의 시도에 그 주안점을 두고 있다. 문학적, 역사적, 법의 문화사적으로 다층화된 소통적 연구의 시각으로 와일드의 문학 세계를 재조명해 볼 때 기존의 심미주의적 해석의 지배성에 가려져 간과되었던 그의 문학의 현실 비판적 측면은 더욱 확연하게 드러나고 설득력 있게 논의될 수 있다. Oscar Wilde was skeptical toward literary realism, but The Picture of Dorian Gray opens up the possibility for the reader’s investigation of the aesthetically realistic aspects of this fiction. In this paper, the subject of multiple realistic approachableness on Wilde and his works is explored in two major ways. The first is to explore the way in which social criticism is conveyed ‘inside’ the fiction. It does this by identifying Wilde’s Anglo-Irish criticism of the British imperial system in the form of the use of ‘double-ness’ in a number of the characters in the fiction, as suggested in Terry Eagleton’s term on Wilde, the “subversive wit.” The paper explores the way in which the ideology of hedonistic individualism advocated by Lord Henry Wotton, the mode of ‘confessional realism’ and ‘honesty of being’, offers an literary representation of the moral decline of the English upper class at the end of the Victorian era. The second way is to explore the way in which the inter-disciplinary perspective social criticism is conveyed ‘outside’ Wilde’s literary world. By means of a collaborative examination of Wilde’s literature and the criminal prosecution of Wilde in April-May 1895, the paper suggests a reevaluation of Wilde’s fiction that takes account of the prevailing conservative social circumstances of censoring literature and imperial political aspects of the legal system in the end of Victorian era during The Picture of Dorian Gray was published.

『춘원서간문범春園書簡⽂範』 연구

본 연구는 이광수의 『춘원서간문범春園書簡⽂範』이 출간된 배경을 검토하고 본문 내용의 사상적 특징을 규명하여 작품의 집필 의도와 성격을 파악하였다. 나아가 이 책의 시대적 의미 역시 고찰하고자 했다. 『춘원서간문범』은 이광수의 저작 중 유일하게 교본 성격을 지녔다. 이 책은 새로운 매체 환경과 문체에 적합한 편지 형식을 익히고자 한 대중의 요구, 이 요구를 포착한 출판업자의 기획, 한글 편지의 문체와 형식에 지속적인 관심을 가져왔던 작가의 인식이 만난 결과물이다. 이광수는 한글 편지 작성의 주요 원칙으로 ‘내용의 진정성’과 ‘언문일치 구어체’를 제시했다. 편지는 쓰는 사람의 진심이 중요한 글이므로 상투적 문구를 버리고 실생활에 쓰이는 말로 마음을 담아 작성해야 한다는 것이다. 그는 선어말어미와 어말어미를 중심으로 한글 문장 작성법을 자세하게 설명하고, 대부분 직접 창작한 예문을 통해 한글 편지 문체의 쓰임새를 다양하게 보여준다. 이광수가 창작한 편지 예문은 편지 형식과 한글 문체의 활용 사례를 제시하는 한편 이광수 자신의 계몽사상을 담아내는 수단이 된다. 예문의 주요 소재는 이광수가 자신의 작품 전반에 걸쳐 지속적으로 다루어 온 문제의 연장선상에 있다. 이광수는 편지글 교본을 쓰면서 예문 내용을 통해 사상적 계몽도 동시에 추구한 것이다. 이광수는 조선인이 갖추어야 할 미덕으로 개인의 ‘희생’과 ‘수양’, ‘자비’를 강조하는데, 이는 이광수가 당시 「법화경」을 비롯한 불교 교리에 관심을 두었다는 점에서 불교의 영향을 받은 것으로 보인다. 그러나 구체적인 목표와 비판적 현실 인식이 결여되었기 때문에 개인의 수양은 ‘황국신민화’를 받아들이는 친일로 귀결된다. 편지가 생활에 밀착된 실용적 성격의 글인 데다 발신자와 수신자가 친분 관계에 놓여 있다는 점을 상정하기 때문에, 편지 예문의 내용은 마치 발신자가 독자에게 말을 거는 듯 자연스럽고 친숙하게 제시된다. 『춘원서간문범』의 편지글은 결국 굴절된 계몽과 친일의 수사였던 셈이다. This study identified the background of Kwang-soo Lee’s publication, Chunwonseoganmoonbeom (How to Write a Letter written by Kwang-soo Lee) and the meaning of the enlightenment idea in the work. This book is the only textbook for the public among Kwang-soo Lee’s works. This book is the result of the public’s demand to learn letter formats suitable for the new media environment and style, the planning of publishers who captured these demands, and the author’s perception that continued to pay attention to the style and format of Korean letters. Kwang-soo Lee suggested ‘the authenticity of the content’ and ‘colloquialism’ as the main principles of writing Korean letters. He argued that we should abandon conventional phrases and write with heart in real-life words. This is because what is important in letters is the sincerity of the writer. He explained in detail how to write Korean sentences and showed various uses of Korean letter styles through various examples. The letters, created by Kwang-soo Lee, are also means of capturing Lee Kwang-soo’s own enlightenment ideas. The materials of the examples are consistent with the subjects that he had continuously explored. While writing this book, he pursued ideological enlightenment through example texts. The readers of this book might feel as if they were talking to the sender while reading the examples because letters are familiar with everyday life. The enlightenment ideas presented in this way lead to Japanese colonial era’s pro-Japanese discourse. Kwang-soo Lee emphasized training individual minds and developing mercy. He claimed this because he was interested in Buddhism at the time. He ignored the periodic condition of Japanese colonial era and emphasized only individual patience and sacrifice. This idea eventually led to pro-Japanese. Pro-Japanese discourse was conveyed friendly to readers through letters reflecting daily life. The letters in this book were the rhetoric of enlightenment that presented pro-Japanese friendly.

외식프랜차이즈의 경로관계에서 관계만족과 순응의 관계에 미치는 신뢰와 의존의 매개역할

Considering the transaction characteristics of franchising, it is an important to understand how to get together without friction between the franchisor and franchisee during the period of a contract. This study set out to examine the structural relationship of relationship satisfaction with compliance, and especially the mediating effects of trust and dependence on that relationship. Despite the limitation of our theoretical model, we produced an optimum model by verifying alternative models. The data collected from a total of 244 useful sample were analyzed using frequency, reliability, factor, and correlation analysis by SPSS as well as the Structural Equation Model by AMOS. The study results are as follows. First, the alternative model adding the process of ``trust->dependence`` turned out to be appropriate. Furthermore, all the hypothesized relationships presented in the final model were found to be significant. Secondly, trust and dependence played full mediating roles in the relationship between relational satisfaction and compliance. This study has implications in that the empirical analyses clarified the structural relationships between relational satisfaction, trust, dependence, and compliance in the restaurant franchise system. More Implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

시간경과에 따른 노면표시 반사성능과 교통사고와의 상관분석

교통노면표시는 교통안전을 위해 규제 또는 지시내용을 노면에 표시하여 전달하는 것으로, 노면표시 퇴색으로 인한 교통사고를 예방하기 위해 경찰청에서는 2014년 1월 1일부터 노면표시 반사성능 기준 2배정도 강화하였다. 본 연구에서는 강화된 기준에 따라 시공된 노면표시 반사성능이 시간이 경과함에 따라 저하되는 정도를 실제 측정하여 시간의 경과에 따른 노면표시 재도색 시기를 파 악하고, 노면표시가 퇴색됨에 따라 교통사고에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 노면표시 반사성능은 교통량 등은 외부 요인과는 관계가 없이 시간의 경과함에 따라 성능저하가 유의하게 나타났다. 단순 선형회귀분석 결과 백색 및 황색노면표시는 1주마다 각각 4.5, 2.4mcd/(㎡·Lux)의 반사성능이 저하되어 약 1년 후면 재도색 시기가 도래하는 것으로 나타났고, 노면표시 반사성능과 교통사고의 관계를 t-test로 검증한 결과, 200mcd/(㎡·Lux)이하일 경우 야간 교통사고 심각도가 증가가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 분석된다.

가맹점주 선발 기준의 상대적 중요도와 우선순위에 관한 연구

With the growth in the restaurant industry, franchising agreements have increased rapidly. However, franchisers lack an objective means of selecting the most promising franchisees desiring to join the franchise system. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the core factors used by franchisee selection criteria extracted from literature reviews and to establish a model for screening and selecting prospective franchisees. To accomplish this, questionnaires based on selection criteria identified from literature and interviews with experts were designed using the Delphi Technique and then sent to 19 decision makers. The statistical package of Expert Choice was used to analyze the collected data and the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) was executed. The result of this analysis showed a priority in order of franchisee selection factors. It showed that two sub-sub-criteria, financial capability and store size related to financial situation ware the most important factors of all 13 criteria. Furthermore, the franchisor should emphasize business ability and personality when selecting franchisees. Analysis results indicate that the proposed selection criteria enable a franchiser to select franchisees more reasonably by allowing them to operate effectively.

건축물 전면공지 녹화요소의 공간 유형 분석 -일본 동경의 주거단지 사례를 중심으로-

본 논문은 주거단지의 주택에 적용된 녹화요소의 구성 기법과 그 역할을 고찰하는 것이다. 녹지와 녹화공간은 건물의 핵심 요소는 아니지만 거주 환경에 다양한 표정과 휴식공간을 제공하는 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 건물의 녹화 공간의 요소와 유형을 분석하는 본 연구를 통하여 건물을 계획하는 설계자, 조경계획가 및 거주민에게 기초지식을 제공하고, 더 나아가 녹화 공간의 정비 및 관리 방법에 도움이 되고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 저층 주거단지에 녹화요소가 잘 조성되어 있는 일본 동경의 메구로쿠 지유가오카역 인근 주택단지를 분석하였다. 20 개의 필지 블록 중에서 전면공지 녹화를 시행한 79 동을 조사대상으로 삼았다. 이러한 대상을 분석하여 도시에서 녹지를 구성하는 최소 단위인 건축물의 녹화요소의 유형과 그 역할을 고찰하였으며, 그 복합적 역할 관계를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 녹화요소는 건물전면공지의 양측에 배치되는 경우가 가장 많았다. 2) 녹화요소는 선형으로 배치된 경우가 많았다. 3) 녹화요소는 도로와 건물의 관계를 조정하여 유도, 분할, 차폐의 역할을 하고 있었다. This study aimed to clarify the roles and composition of the green elements on street facing open space of architecture. This paper focuses on the analysis of the green elements on residential area in Jiyugaoka, Meguro-ku, metropolitan Tokyo. The data for the analysis was collected through aerial picture and several site survey on from August 2008 to December 2014. The final sample consisted of 43 commercial buildings, 32 housing, 3 apartments and 1 public building, and all of the building are consist of under 3 floors level height. The data were analyzed using symbolization which is converted from pictures. The result were as follows : 1) Defying the green elements, the minimum analyzing scale of green on street facing exterior space, and classified green elements as point, line and area by it``s formation. Building``s are classified by it``s form and the distance of setback from the street. 2) Analyzing the relation of Green Elements and it``s counter, such as architectural elements and external elements, the six categories are extrude from the relation of green elements and counter green elements. 3) 10 composition of green on street facing exterior space and categorize the role of green elements to Division, Sheltering, Leading.
