In case of esthetic restorative procedure with zirconia restoration, we have to use resin cement because of not only just for retention but also esthetic reason. In such a clinical situation, we have to consider two bonding interfaces, one is tooth surface to resin cement and the other is zirconia surface to resin cement. There is well established bonding protocol between tooth surface to resin cement, but bonding protocol of zirconia surface to resin cement is still controversial. In scientific point of view, there are two mechanism for bonding of zirconia restoration.. One is mechanical retention and the other is chemical adhesion. However, we have three different options for bonding of zirconia restoration in clinical situation; 1) Tribo-chemical coating with silica and silane coupling agent 2) Zirconia primer with phosphate chemistry 3) Self-adhesive resin cement with phosphate chemistry.

Background: We compared the analgesic effects of an intravenous infusion of remifentanil with local lidocaine injection during endovenous laser treatments (EVLT) for varicose veins. Material and Method: In order to compare the efficacy of analgesia between the lidocaine group (n=15) and the remifentanil group (n=15), we measure the pain intensity of the patients, with using the visual analogue scale, during EVLT and at the first week, the second week, the third week and the fourth week after EVLT. Result: The remifentanil group showed significantly less pain intensity during EVLT (p<0.01), but there were no differences of pain intensity between the two groups from the first week to the fourth week after EVLT (p>0.3). Conclusion: The result showed that the intravenous infusion of remifentanil during EVLT can be a good option to reduce pain during EVLT for treating varicose veins.

기업 CEO의 이미지 관리는 기업의 브랜드 관리 차원과 마찬가지로 전략적인 접근 이 필요하다. 최고경영자 이미지 전략(PI: president identity)이 기업 가치를 올리는 커뮤니케이션 전략으로 대두되면서 CEO의 이미지 관리와 PR이 중요해지고 있다. 이 연구는 PR 전문가들은 기업 CEO 이미지의 개념적 구성요인, CEO 이미지 인식에 영 향을 미치는 선행요인, 그리고 그 이미지 인식이 파생시키는 효과를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 심층인터뷰를 통해 살펴보았다. CEO 이미지에 대한 중요성은 선행연구들을 통 해 많이 언급되어 왔지만, 구체적으로 ‘어떻게 해야 하는가’와 ‘왜 그렇게 해야 하는가’ 는 명확하게 밝혀진 바가 없다. 따라서 이 연구는 PR 전문가들의 인식을 바탕으로 기 업의 CEO 이미지를 중심으로 한 영향관계를 탐색적으로 연구하였다. 참여한 PR 연구 자와 실무자들에 의하면 한국 사회에서 CEO의 이미지는 기업 활동의 영역뿐만 아니 라, CEO의 사적 영역을 통해서도 형성될 수 있으며 이러한 이미지는 미디어 노출, 리 더십 스타일, 홍보실의 전략적 방향에 의해 영향을 받는다. 기업 CEO의 긍·부정적 이 미지는 기업 활동에 영향을 발휘하지만 이를 명확하게 규정하기 위해서는 기업의 속성, 제품/서비스의 편익성, 그리고 소비자의 관여도 등 기업을 둘러싼 여러 가지 내·외부 요인 역시 함께 살펴볼 필요가 있다고 제안하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 이 연 구는 학술적, 실무적 함의를 심층 토론하였다. As the image management of a company's CEO requires a strategic approach, this study has examined how PR experts perceive the conceptual components of corporate CEO image, affecting factors of CEO image, and the communication effects that image recognition derives. The importance of CEO image has been mentioned through prior studies, but it has not explained specifically “how to do" and "why to do so." Rather than a general argument, the present study conducted in-depth interviews with PR experts to explore ways to strategically manage the CEO's image through detailed discussions about the concept of the CEO's image and how the CEO's image is affected by and how the CEO's image has influence. Results showed that the CEO's image can be strategically managed depending on media exposure, transformational / inclusive leadership style and strategic direction of the public relations department. It is assumed that the positive image of a corporate CEO affects business activities in a positive way, however, in order to clearly define the relationship between them, a number of internal and external factors surrounding the company must be taken into account, such as the attributes of companies, the benefits of the product/service, and the consumer's involvement. Based on the results of the study, the study discussed academic and practical implications.

기계학습을 이용한 한지의 특성 예측 모델링 (Part 1) -인공신경망과 적외선 분광법을 이용한 제조 지역 판별-

This study focuses on machine learning-based approaches in combination with infrared spectroscopy to discriminate the manufacturing origin of Hanji, a traditional Korean paper. Infrared spectra provide useful information about the chemical composition and structural features of Hanji, while principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering extract meaningful patterns related to the manufacturing region. Score plots and hierarchical clustering of the principal components provide enhanced clustering patterns based on manufacturing region by focusing on the spectral region 1800-1200 cm -1 . The clustering patterns are driven by key absorption bands, such as those associated with carboxyl groups, crystalline cellulose, and aromatic rings. In addition, feed-forward neural network classification models that were developed using the spectral data exhibit significant accuracy when classifying the Hanji manufacturing regions. In particular, models utilizing the raw and second derivative spectra in the 1800-1200 cm-1 region exhibit excellent classification performance, indicating the effectiveness of this spectral region for classification purposes. This study demonstrates the effective application of artificial neural networks in conjunction with infrared spectroscopy to characterize and classify Hanji based on its manufacturing region. The results contribute to a better understanding of the unique properties of Hanji and the discovery of new insights from paper cultural artifacts. .

Various DSM (Demand Side Management) programs have been developed and carried out to use the limited energy resources of human-beings reasonably. LED lighting is one of essential DSM programs and the development of technologies is ongoing vigorously. Recently, one-person households have been increased and the electricity consumption pattern is different with conventional households because residents live as a single. On the other hand, owners of the one-person households tend to not prefer to install high efficient appliances due to the cost increasement. Therefore, the existing DSM subsidy programs should be revaluated so that the owners decide to install high efficient appliances.

폐농양으로 진행한 폐방선균증 1예

Actinomycosis is a slowly progressive and indolent infectious disease characterized by acute suppurative inflammation, necrosis, and fibrosis. It usually occurs in cervicofacial, abdominopelvic, and pulmonary areas. Pulmonary actinomycosis accounts for 15%– 20% of total cases and is often accompanied by empyema, necrosis, and pleural effusion. Its clinical manifestations and radiologic features are nonspecific unfortunately. We report a case of lung abscess caused by pulmonary actinomycosis in a 53-year-old man, presented with fever, chilling, myalgia, and hemoptysis for 15 days. The plain chest radiograph showed a mass-like lesion in the left upper lung field. The computed tomography scan revealed mass-like infiltration with a huge cavity and central necrosis. Microscopic examination of the lung specimen showed Gram-positive sulfur granules and was consistent with pulmonary actinomycosis.

CSR Evaluations Based on Contingent Factors CSR Motives, Attitudes Toward CSR, and Purchase Intention

This study examines the extent to which consumer perceptions of contingent factors for a company are influential in determining perceived CSR motives, attitudes toward CSR, and purchase intention. Based on contingency theory and the persuasion knowledge model, this study differs from previous research in the way that we view contingent factors as cues (i.e., agent knowledge) for consumer inferences of CSR motives as the company’s persuasive attempt (i.e., persuasion knowledge). Our survey results based on 1,009 adults in the United States demonstrate the relative importance of contingent factors such as corporate culture and leadership style that can contribute to effective CSR programs in generating positive attitudes toward CSR and purchase intention. The findings show that CSR engagement itself may not be sufficient to gain benefits from CSR. Consumers develop positive attitudes toward CSR only when they perceive a genuine commitment to sustainability (i.e., public-serving intention). This study provides insights into the view that CSR activities can add value to the firm at the cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels, but only under certain conditions.
