致死量의 X線을 全身照射한 家兎에 있어서 同種骨髓移植의 效果에 關한 實驗的硏究

The author carried out study on homologous bone marrow transplantation in rabbits following total body irradiation with 900r X-ray. The following conclusions were obtained: 1) In control rabbits which were only exposed to X-irradiation, they succumbed within 15 days with 100% 60-day morality. Also the drastic weight loss, severe pancytopenia and marked destruction of bone marrow and lymphoid organs (spleen, Thymus, Lymphnode) were observed. 2) The intravenous infusions of 1×10 exp(9) nucleated bone marrow cells at 48 hours after exposure were shown to be capable of reducing mortality from 100% of irradiated control group to 33%. 3) In the rabbits where the bone marrow transplantation failed, the weight curves, hematological, and pathological findings were no different from that observed in the irradiated control rabbits. However, in the rabbits where the transplants were successful, the remarkable gaining of weight, prompt recovery of the peripheral blood picture, and marked regeneration of bone marrow and lymphoid organs were observed. 4) As to the optimal time of bone marrow infusions, the best results were obtained in the animals given at 48 hours after exposure rather than immediately, or at 120 hours. 5) Among 3 groups, where (0.02×10 exp(6),) (0.2×10 exp(6)) and 1×10 exp(9) bone marrow cells were injected respectively, the group with the highest doses (1×10 exp(9) cells) showed the best response. However, with the lowest doses (0.02×10 exp(6) cells), no significant variation from the irradiated control group was found.
抗甲狀腺劑(propylthiouracil)의 造血能에 미치는 影響

著者는 흰 숫쥐에 抗甲狀腺劑인 propylthiouracil을 經口的으로 投與하고 投與量에 따르는 末梢血液像과 骨髓像 및 赤血球 ^59Fe 利用率에 미치는 影響을 檢討하였으며 아울러 propylthiouracil과 蛋白同化 스테로이드인 oxymetholone을 倂用하여 前者에 依한 造血能低下를 oxymetholone投與로써 矯正可能與否를 檢討하기 위해 이 實驗을 企圖했으며 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 卽, 아무 處置도 하지 아니한 對照群(第1群)과 體重 ㎏當 5㎎의 propythiouracil을 每日 4週間 投與한 第Ⅱ群에서는 末梢血液像과 骨髓像 및 赤血球 ^59Fe 利用率에 有意한 變動이 없었다. 그러나, 體重 ㎏當 50㎎의 propylthiouracil을 每日 4週間 投與한 第Ⅱ群에서는 血色素値, 網赤血球數 및 好中球絶對數에 有意한 減少가 있었으며 骨髓에서도 總有核細胞數, 好中球絶對數, 赤芽球絶對數, 및 赤血球 ^59Fe 利用率의 意義있는 減少가 있었다. 體重 ㎏當 50㎎의 propylthiouracil과 同時에 體重 ㎏當 10㎎의 oxymetholone을 每日 4週間 倂用한 第Ⅳ群에서는 第Ⅱ群에서 觀察한 造血能의 異常을 볼 수 없었으며 아울러 對照群에 比하여도 末梢血液像, 骨髓像 및 赤血球 ^59Fe 利用率에 있어서 意義있는 差를 볼 수 없었다. The hematopoietic effects of propylthiouracil in the albino male rats was studied with the following results. In rats administered propylthiouracil orally at a dose of 5mg/kg daily for 4 weeks, no significant alterations were noted in the peripheral blood, bone marrow findings and erythrocyte 59Fe incorporation. However, the peripheral blood of the rats treated with an oral administration of propylthiouracil at a dose of 50㎎/㎏ daily for 4 weeks, disclosed an appreciable reduction of the hemoglobin, reticulocyte, and absolute neutrophil count. Furthermore, the total marrow nucleated cell count, absolute neutrophil count, absolute erythroid cell count, and erythrocyte 59Fe incorporation were markedly decreased. The rats treated concomitantly with an oral administration of propylthiouracil at a dose of 50㎎/㎏ plus oxymetholone, anabolic steroid, at a dose of 10㎎/㎏ daily for 4 weeks produced no hematological changes as well as the erythrocyte 59Fe incorporation, suggesting explicitly the anabolic steroid being offset the hematologically deleterious effect of a massive dose of propylthiouracil.
