The purpose of this study is to find sedimentation patterns variation in the Geum river estuary. Water circulations are calculated diagnostically from the observed water temperature and salinity data and wind data and tidal residual current. Three dimensional movements of injected particles due to currents, turbulence and sinking velocity are tracked by the Euler-lagrange methoed.

In order to provide the basic data required for setting up the proper strategies to minimize future marine environmental pollution on Kwangyang bay, the general water quality parameters, circulation pattern and dye study were investigated on January 19, 1984. Although TSS is somewhat high level, most suspended solid seem to composed of the inorganic materials. NH₃-N is also low level compared with that of other coastal areas so that the pollution by the nutrients is not serious yet. While COD is very high level in comparison with the results of other areas. The diffusive capability of this bay is assessed to be medium level.

The water quality and the budget of pollutant loading in the downstream of Nakdong River were surveyed at 3 sites along the main stream from Mulgum to Hadan and 1 site of Yangsan tributary with response to the tides in May and June, 1983. The level of TSS in the Yangsan tributary, 6.1~21.3mg/l, was higher than any other site. The mean vaIues of BOD were 1.16mg/l at Mulgum site. I.83mg/l Yangsan site, O.79mg/l Hwamyeong site and 3.56mg/l at Hadan site. The levels of NH₄+-N and PO₄3- -P were the highest at Hadan site, and the levels of zinc and copper were 2.11~5.98ppb and ND-50.00ppb at Yangsan tributary site. Although the flow rate of Yangsan stream accounted for only 4% of that of main stream, but the mean value of pollutant loading in the Yangsan stream amounted to 8.3% of the that of main steam.

A measurements and numerical analysis of tidal current were carried out at around Siwha seawell in Ansan and Taebudo of Kyung Gi Do, to investigate the tidal current change attend on seawell constrection. The velocity and direction of tidal current are in accord with the numerical analysis. tidal current of most region are fast as 2.0m/see over. Tidal current were on the increase as increase water level difference in outside and inside.

The authors studied on the modification of the curriculum for the department of fishing technology in Fisheries junior college, by collecting and analyaing the references, questionaires and consultation according to the trends in industry and employment. Especially, rapid develop of the fishing technology with the modernization and automatization of fishing vessels, the present curriculum formulated in 1983 is required to be rearranged. Accordingly, the authors studied on the development of characteristic curriculum which could cultivate the professional fishing engineers. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. Total open credits should be 160 credits. 2. Cultural subjects are set 32credits, 20% of total open credits, but the subjects may be Choosen by the situation of each fisheries junior college. 3. Major subjects are set 128 credits with 36 subjects including the 3rd year course. 4. The proportion of the compulsory to the elective credits in the major subjects are made 1 to 2. 5. Compulsory major subjects are set 29 credits with 11 subjects during the 1st and 2nd year course. Training on the board (I) and (II) are set 40 credits during 3rd year course and evaluated as pass or not. 6. The proportion of the credits of subjects concerning to fishery and navigation is made 1 to 1. 7. In order to strengthen the computation education, the E.D.P.S. is sets 3 credits in the cultural subjects.
