        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate PNF exercises for balance ability in elderly. Methods: This is a literature study with books and articles. Results: The balance ability in elderly is reduced by decreasing proprioception, visual and vestibular sensation. PNF exercise is highly efficient for functional activities to control posture and movement. It is also highly efficient for balance ability in elderly. This is considered effective exercise program for maintain and to promote balance ability in elderly. Conclusion: PNF exercise is highly efficient for functional activities to control posture and movement. In addition, it is also efficient for balancing posture and movement in cooperation with visual information and vestibular system. This exercise is considered to be effective exercise program to maintain posture and improve balance ability.

      • 국내 복합상영관 시설의 방재대책에 관한 연구

        21세기들어 영화산업의 발달로 탄생한 복합상영관에서는 수많은 사람들이 문화생활을 즐기고 소비하는 장소가 되고 있다. 그러나 복합상영관을 이용하는 수많은 사람들은 불특정다수인으로 복합상영관의 구조와 관련정보가 매우 부족하여 현실적으로 화재시 많은 인명피해가 예상된다. 특히, 복합상영관은 대부분 대형지하공간 또는 초고층건물의 상충부에 십여개의 상영관과 다양한 문화시설이 자리잡아 일시에 수많은 인파가 몰리는 대표적 다중이용시설이다. 만일 화재 등 재난이 발생하였을 경우, 수많은 관객들의 생명과 안전을 보장하기는 상당히 어려울 것이다. 그러므로, 이와같은 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 복합상영관에서의 화재·피난안전상 체계적인 방재대책이 필요하다. 본 연구는 복합상영관의 개념정립과 공간 및 위치에 따른 위험도 분석을 통하여 컴퓨터시뮬레이션을 실시하고 이를 바탕으로 적정한 방재대책의 방향성을 제시하였다. 21C, Multiplex Cinema Theater is made from movie industry developed and become a place where we can spend our free time and consuming. But, theater users, who are many and unspecified persons, are short of information on the Multiplex Cinema Theater, so that they may be injured or killed at the occurrence of fire accident. Particularly, Multiplex Cinema Theater is a place that underground space or top floor in highrise building had many people in theaters. However, this problem is difficult to solve that to protect human being and properties at the occurrence of fire accident in the Multiplex Cinema Theater, In order to overcome such problems, Multiplex Cinema Theater need fire protection solutions facilities concerning particulars to pay attention to the safety on a fire and evacuation. This study analysed Multiplex Cinema Theater concept and computer simulation for risk point.

      • 광디스크 디지털 서보의 저전력 구현 아키텍쳐

        광디스크 재생기에서 사용되는 디지털 서보는 주변 블록과의 집적화가 유리하고, 온도변화에 따른 열화가 적으며, 각종 픽업에 대한 유연한 대응이 가능한 장점 때문에 이용도가 점점 높아지고 있는 추세이다.[6] 그러나 디지털 시그널 프로세서를 내장한 디지털 서보는 전력 소비량이 매우 큰 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 광디스크 재생기의 특성 상 초기화 시간에 대부분의 기능이 몰려 있으므로 DSP의 사이클 수는 많이 차지 하나, 실제로 전력 소비에 주된 영향을 끼치는 시간은 초기화 시간이 아닌 재생 모드 시간 임에 착안하여 디지털 서보의 소비 전류를 획기적으로 줄일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 재생 모드에서의 필터 처리 사이클 수를 최대한 줄일 수 있도록 아키텍쳐를 변환함과 동시에 디지털 서보의 재생 모드를 병렬 처리함으로써, 전체 시스템의 소비 전력을 크게 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 즉, 광디스크 재생기의 디지털 서보에 포함되는 DSP 코아의 리소스 공유를 통해DSP의 동작 속도와 부하를 크게 줄임으로써 소비 전류를 획기적으로 줄이는 효과를 얻어낸 것이다. 이러한 개념은 DSP-코아 뿐만 아니라, ROM, RAM에도 모두 적용되어 기존 아키텍쳐의 디지털 서보에 비해 소비 전류를 83% 가까이 줄일 수 있는 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. Digital servo implementation in optical servo chip has been spotlighted since it is easy to integrate with other blocks and it has less sensitive characteristics change in terms of temperature variation and better flexibility to the system variation like pick-up. Therefore, Optical disc players adopted digital servo are increasing in market. However, one drawback of digital signal processor embedded digital servo is power consumption that is one of the most important factors of portable optical disc player system. For that reason, this paper introduces new architecture to reduce power consumption of digital servo by means of reducing DSP load but increasing minimum hardware size. The main idea of reducing power consumption of digital servo greatly is utilizing CDP characteristics as most operations are done and used up most operating steps of DSP at the initial time, but most power consumption is occurred in play mode. Therefore, if operating steps for digital filtering in play mode could be reduced greatly, power consumption of overall system can be reduced greatly. This paper shows an example that low power digital servo architecture whose current is reduced almost 83%, compare to that of digital servo which is not applied by the low power architecture introduced in this paper.

        Design and Simulation of a Platform Technology for the Mobile WiMAX-based Micro Grid Home Network System using OPNET Simulation

        Currently, ICT (Information & Communication Technology), IoT (Internet of Things), Smart Grid and Micro Grid technologies are seen as the technologies that will dominate the IT industry of the Republic of Korea till 2020. There are communication technologies such as Mobile WiMAX, PLC, Zigbee, NFC, ANT, Mobile Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID applicable for Smart Grids but we are proposing a Mobile WiMAX-based Micro Grid Home network system in this paper. As a result of simulation, we were able to confirm that the propose system worked normally. The platform technology used in this study can be used for the Smart Grids and Micro grids, as well as other IoT-applied fields. Also, many other simulations in relation to healthcare, building and facility management, disaster and accident monitoring, weather observation and other areas can be conducted using this platform technology prior to constructing an actual system to save costs by checking system’s feasibility.

        Design and Implementation of the Basic Technology for Solitary Senior Citizen's Lonely Death Monitor ing System using PLC

        The communications through the power lines are called as the PLC and this is a common name for the communication modes for the information delivery. This technology transmits the data through the power lines on which the information is stored with the form of high frequency signal. The characteristic of the frequency signal is that the signal can be separated from the power line through exclusive power line modem and transmitted to the terminal devices. In this paper, 'In-home Headcount' checking algorithm using Wi-Fi and taking above mentioned advantages is proposed, and the basic Technology for such Solitary Senior Citizen's Lonely Death monitoring system has been designed and implemented. The comparative analysis has been conducted in this paper with the test-operated and test bed-completed 'Hyosimi 119 Safety-Welfare System' which is still being tested since 2008. With the 'In-home Headcount Checking Algorithm', Wi-Fi connection/disconnection status and SSIDs of relevant Wi-Fis will be checked. We expect that our proposed method will become as the basic Technology which can prevent lonely deaths of elderly people living alone. Since the PLC technology can be normally implement all the functions used on internet anticipate that the technology could be applied to many areas to construct a new form of communication network.

        A Case Study of the Base Technology for the Smar t Gr id Secur ity: Focusing on a Per formance Improvement of the Basic Algor ithm for the DDoS Attacks Detection Using CUDA

        Since the development of Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) in 1999, the development speed of GPUs has become much faster than that of CPUs and currently, the computational power of GPUs exceeds CPUs dozens and hundreds times in terms of decimal calculations and costs much less. Owing to recent technological development of hardwares, general-purpose computing and utilization using GPUs are on the rise. Thus, in this paper, we have identified the elements to be considered for the Smart Grid Security. Focusing on a Performance Improvement of the Basic Algorithm for the Stateful Inspection to Detect DDoS Attacks using CUDA. In the program, we compared the search speeds of GPU against CPU while they search for the suffix trees. For the computation, the system constraints and specifications were made identical during the experiment. We were able to understand from the results of the experiment that the problem-solving capability improves when GPU is used. The other finding was that performance of the system had been enhanced when shared memory was used explicitly instead of a global memory as the volume of data became larger.

        Designing of Image Processing Curriculum Considering Network Security

        This research is to design a curriculum for the students who will be dealing with the image processing techniques, and at the same time, network security has been considered as well. The goal of this curriculum is to prepare the students attending higher education systems or the novice network engineers for a fundamental knowledge in network systems and required skills. As such a basic design has been common in other curriculums, this study will also add another critical issue to its contents; the problems associated with network security which is becoming more serious every year. The curriculum consists of 6-hour courses during which students can learn about some of the basic network configurations while experiencing typical operating processes where Java language skill is required. The introductory-level graphic processing techniques are provided in the curriculum through several case studies and some specific network attacking methods and their outcomes will be introduced and discussed. In each course, the communication protocols, available services and problem solving methods are described and explained and the students' level of understanding and final achievements will be measured based on the assignments given to them. For instance, in imaging process, the students are to classify applied protocols and services on the basis of individual definitions and port-numbers assigned, followed by image capturing and transferring of captured image to the text box for an image printing task. Meanwhile, the network security courses involve analyses of packet traffics which will allow the students to locate the host or origin of malicious attacks exploiting malignant packets to sever communications or shut down entire systems. In the future extended study the author will extend the courses to provide in-depth knowledges while transforming the curriculum to make it more adaptable to non-IT or non-science majors.

        열성 경련 아동에서 호흡기 바이러스 종류에 따른 임상적 특징

        Objective: This study aimed to clarify the relationship between several viral infections and clinical features of febrile seizures. The clinical expression pattern was determined according to the virus. Methods: Data were collected on patients who visited the emergency room with febrile seizures from March 2016 to February 2019. The clinical characteristics of seizures and the clinical differences between each respiratory viral infection were analyzed. The severity of febrile seizures was measured by checking complex febrile seizures and electroencephalogram abnormalities. Results: Of the 227 febrile convulsions, 138 (60.8%) were men, and 89 (39.2%) were women. Sixty-five patients (28.6%) had a family history of febrile seizure, 68 (30.0%) had complex seizures, and 13 (7.1%) had electroencephalogram (EEG) abnormalities. Of the 13 respiratory viruses examined, rhinoviruses were detected more significantly in 63 patients (32.4%), but there was no significant difference when comparing the rate of febrile seizure among patients with fever. There were no significant differences in the clinical features, such as body temperature, duration, and complex seizure. In addition, each virus showed a similar incidence of EEG abnormalities. Conclusion: No significant difference in the clinical features and objective examination according to the virus were observed, and the tendency of developing febrile seizures is similar.
