불화물배합세치제의 경시적 인회석화가능불소량에 관한 연구
허준석,백대일,김종배,문혁수 대한구강보건학회 2002 大韓口腔保健學會誌 Vol.26 No.1
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of abrasives(SiO_2, CaHPO_4, 2H_2O, CaCO_3, A1_2O_3) on the free fluoride ion contents as well as the total soluble fluoride present in dentifrices containing sodiumfluoride(NaF) and monofluorophosphate(MFP) as time elapse. In toothpastes containing NaF, NaF is expected to be fully dissociated to F- and the amount of free ionic fluoride is considered equal to the total soluble fluoride. Dentifrice samples were diluted and the insolubles were removed via centrifugation. Total soluble fluoride within the supernatant was determined using Fluoride Ion Selective Electrode. Samples containing sodiummonofluorophosphate(SMFP) were acid hydrolyzed prior to electrode measurements. Fluoride solutions of known fluoride concentrations were used to construct a standard curve. One group of dentifrice samples were stored at 49℃ for 3weeks and the measurements were made for each dentifrice - immediately after the dentifrices made, 1day, 3days, lweek, 2weeks and 3weeks. The other group of dentifrice samples were stored at 40.6℃ for 12weeks and the measurements were made for each dentifrice - immediately after the dentifrices made and lday, 3days, lweek, 2weeks, 4weeks, 6week, 8weeks, 10weeks and 12weeks. The following results were obtained. 1. Total soluble fluoride ion concentration of NaF/SiO_2 containing toothpastes were maintained about 1000ppm. 2. Total soluble fluoride ion concentration of MFP/SiO_4 containing toothpastes were maintained above 800 ppm. 3. Total soluble fluoride ion concentrations of NaF/Al_2O_3 containing toothpastes and MFP/Al_2O_3 containing toothpastes were maintained about 600 ppm. 4. Total soluble fluoride ion concentrations of MFP/CaCO_3, NaF/CaCO_3, MFP/DCPD containing toothpastes were decreased with time. 5. Total soluble fluoride ion concentration of NaF/CaHPO_4·2H_2O containing toothpastes were decreased rapidly in a day. 6. The rate of decrease of total soluble fluoride ion concentration of fluoride containing toothpastes were faster in toothpastes stored at 49℃ than toothpastes stored at 40.6℃
Unusual Fatal Infections after Anterior Cervical Spine Surgeries
허준석,이장보,김주한,김세훈,조태형,서중근,박윤관 대한척추신경외과학회 2012 Neurospine Vol.9 No.3
We report two cases of cervical spinal epidural abscess (SEA), which are related to anterior cervical surgeries. The first case reveals a late postoperative infection without any predisposing factor. The second case reveals combined complication of infection and instrument failure (artificial disc). Both two cases manifested ascending infections that are unusual courses of anterior cervical infections. The abscess extended upwards and, finally, caused life threatening bacterial meningitis. We suggest aggressive surgical interventions with anti-bacterial therapies in such cases.

As we get closer to super-aged society, the prevalence of senile spinal diseases is constantly increasing and the burden on individuals and society grows high. Senile spinal disease is basically degenerative in nature. Pain and physical dysfunction occur due to various complex pathologic causes. For the diagnosis and treatment of such complex diseases, it is essential to understand common senile spinal diseases such as intervertebral disc herniation and spinal stenosis. Degenerative changes in intervertebral discs are caused by a combination of aging and excessive physical load, which results in structural damages and molecular biological changes in the intervertebral discs. Spinal stenosis is a disease in which nerves and blood vessels are compressed by hypertrophied ligamentum flavum, bulged disc, and a hypertrophied facet. Ligamentum flavum hypertrophy, which is the most important etiology in spinal stenosis, occurs due to mechanical stress and a cascade of inflammation and fibrosis reactions. Drug therapy targeting these pathologic mechanisms includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, and agents that improve blood circulation. Nerve blocks, which prevent these pathophysiologic conditions, are also a good treatment modality. Typical nerve block techniques include medial nerve block and epidural block. It is necessary to understand the pathophysiology of senile spinal diseases and establish an appropriate treatment strategy that suit the patient's condition.
