The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between children`s cheating behaviors and their self-reported orality. For this study, 883 children were selected from 7 elementary schools and from 7 middle schools in Seoul, Korea. The participating students included 4th, 6th and 8th graders. The research was performed through the administration of questionnaires designed to measure the students` cheating behaviors and morality. The results were as follows: 1. The children cheated on occasion. More cheating occurred during homework than while taking an examination. During an examination, there was more lone cheating than students helping other students to cheat. With regard to homework cheating, helping others to cheat was higher than students doing their own cheating. Cheating behavior increased in higher grades, but there was no difference between genders. 2. In relation to children`s morality, distinctions between 6th graders, 8th graders and 4th graders were different demonstrated. 3. In relation to cheating behavior and morality (4 factors), while PHIL (interests to others) factor decreased cheating behavior, EMP (understanding of emotion and feeling) factor increased cheating behavior.

Folk fairy tales often encounter deep-seated prejudice that they stress moral and ethical aspects. As a result, interpretation or understanding of folk fairy tales is insufficient and limited although such stories are for children. In that sense, this thesis attempted to redefine Korean folk fairy tales through phenomenological perspective and approach excluding any bias against objects or phenomena. Considering the expanse of folk fairy tales, the present study selected stories where heroes and heroines are children to determine what those main characters could imply to us. So, children in stories are classified into four types: ‘wise children who solve difficult problems’, ‘dutiful sons and daughters’, ‘abused children by their stepmothers’, and ‘children defeating fate and bad luck.’ Conclusively, the current study found the following implications in folk fairy tales: First, children who are main characters in fairy tales represent the socially disadvantaged and reveal popular criticism against society by defeating the strong. Second, female children in folk fairy tales are tried, which implies the gender discrimination formed in the confucian patriarchal society. Finally, children in folk fairy tales go through a rite of passage including hardships and adversity in the course of becoming grown-ups before they acquire ego identity and perceive reality.

The aim of this study is to analyze the educational topic and content of the moral subject at the first grade through the process of variation in curriculum in elementary school. And, this study is to investigate the children's figures showed in the textbooks by the age. As a result of analyzing the moral textbook at the first grade of elementary school, the field of national life became smaller as it was very close to the 7th curriculum today. On the other hand, this researcher could understand it increased the field of personal life. It suggested that it had a tendency to raise them as children based on the individual thinking, and it needed to develop their valuable things to the other people's valuable things. Also, we could see a lot of features of children, parents, grandparents, teachers, and neighbors from the figures in the past textbooks. However, we could not see the adults' features beside the children in the present textbooks. It means that it is desired to be grown as children who insist on their protection and independence for themselves. It seemed to be a direction that the past moral education accepted the existing value in compliance with the establishment, and grow to be children who have good manners. However, today the children grow outdoor because the role in home was declined. Therefore, this research can understand that they are exposed to the dangerous environment and are placed in a state of laissez-faire.

This study was to discuss necessity of communal child care, and suggest role that the country(or government) offered, enterprises(or market), service type and plan for child care that the home(or parents) could offer. To achieve them this study was to investigate and summarize a case study of child care managed comprehensively and multiply in Korea, suggesting a triangle analysis tool for welfare among the supply sectors of welfare by Esping-Anderson(1990) & Abrahamson(1991) comprised of market-country-family except for nonprofit sectors with the complex characteristics. In order to understand the provision of social welfare in Korea, this study puts forward a method to measure and tracks the welfare mix, and applies the method to Korea. As to the research on comprehensive child care service according to such supply sectors for welfare, this study is to suggest that the role enhancement of country can be important factor on acquisition of the publicity concerning child care ultimately by highlighting a balance of triangle when the weak role of country among the functions of child care up to date can be emphasized in Korea.

Targeting elementary school fourth graders total of living in Andong, collective living now with grandparents and children, grandparents and children groups that ever lived together in the past, grandparents living with you. They have not been separated into groups examined the childs gender role stereotypes. As a result, depending on the gender of the whole child, a boy stereotypes appeared to be higher than girls in housework area and play area. Grandparents were differences in gender role stereotypes according to whether the stimulus. Groups of children do not live with grandparents as they appeared less most gender role stereotypes, sex role stereotypes grandparents of the child living like this was higher. And a result of examining gender roles and stereotypes of the types of living grandparents, In the case of children who are currently living with grandparents, stereotypes about gender roles in housework, depending on whether you are living with grandparents, grandmother or grandfather was no difference. But In the gender role stereotypes on the job and play this stereotype gender roles in children living with both grandfather and grandmother showed the highest. Differences in gender role stereotypes of the period of cohabitation with the grandparents, in the case of children who have had grandparents living in the past, there were no differences according to the gender role stereotypes cohabitation period. But in the case of children who are currently living with grandparents, there were differences depending on the period of cohabitation.

This study is to grasp the presidents and teathers leadership types, who engaged in the early childhood education institutions, and investigate the differences of characteristics by the variable about the type and intervention of early childhood education institution. Also, this study is to make clear what the leadership patents are related to the organization effectiveness in the early childhood education institution. From the result of this research above, First, as for the teacher leadership type in the early childhood education institution, in case of the chiefs in the organization, it found the non-effective type, effective type, task-oriented type, and harmony-oriented type in order. In case of the early childhood teachers, it found the effective type, non-effective type, task-oriented type, harmony-oriented type in order. Also, there arose no significant difference according to the school career, personal history, and organization type that became the teachers variables of background. Second, as for the recognition about the organization effectiveness for the staffs engaged in the early childhood education institution, it found that the president had higher recognition in the organization effectiveness than the teachers. In particular, it presented the high scores in the job performance and organization adaptation among the subdivisions of organization effectiveness, and it found the job satisfaction and organization devotion in order.

Also the third grade student had higher self-regulation than the fifth grade ones, and there was no difference in the childrens self-regulation according to the sex. And as a result of investigation the relative influence of self-regulation by the childrens temperament and the parents parenting, the factor with the largest influence on the self-regulation was persistence, a sub-factor of the temperament of the children. It had an effect on the affectionate attitudes as a parents parenting, the approach-withdrawal and, as a activity level general of temperament, the degree of supervision as a parents parenting, and distractability and flexibility-rigidity as a temperament in order.

And as a result of investigation the relative influence of self-regulation by the children`s temperament and the parents` parenting, the factor with the largest influence on the self-regulation was persistence, a sub-factor of the temperament of the children. It had an effect on the affectionate attitudes as a parents` parenting, the approach-withdrawal and, as a activity level general of temperament, the degree of ‘supervision as a parents’ parenting, and distractability and flexibility-rigidity as a temperament in order. It presented that the negative mood, sub-factors of temperament of the children, did not affect significantly. Ultimately, for developing the children`s self-regulation, it can improve the positive self-regulation by making much of affectionate attitudes then the supervision among the parents` parenting, and by enhancing the persistence, a scale of executing an activity among the children`s temperament continuity for a long time.
