어느 시대에 있어서든 정치적, 사회적, 경제적인 힘의 격변은 언제나 심미적인 사고의 변화를 동반한다. 이와 같은 변화는 특히 오늘날에 와서 두드러진다. 극작, 연기, 연출, 무대디자인 등은 말할 나위도 없고 문학, 음악, 회화, 조각 등의 예술형식에는 끊임없이 변화가 따른다. 현대에 이르러 무대위에는 많은 세트가 배경에 그대로 엄연히 존속하고 있음을 우리는 보고 있는데 그 중 어떤 것은 아주 다르게 작용하고 있다고 느낀다. 디자인을 필요로 하는 새로운 연출법 중에는 세팅의 이미지를 극적인 동작 가운데 두고 절대 필요한 연극 액션의 부분으로 삼는 그런 연출도 있음을 우리는 알고있다. 다른 연출가들은 그와 다른 방향으로 지향하여 무대 세트를 최소한으로 줄이고, 배우로 하여금 조명의 도움을 받아 그 자신의 재원에 더욱 더 의존하도록 하려고 노력한다. 연기자는 자기 자신의 신체의 움직임과 윤곽을 강하게 강조하는 바와 같은 방법으로 계단, 고대, 그리고 다른 간단한 모양을 이용하기 마련이다. 어떤 뮤지컬 공연에서는 가장 실험적인 무대 세트의 형태가 현재에 와서 개발되어가고있다. 이런 것들은 영화로부터 파생된 다른 모양과 더불어 우리들의 드라머 세팅에 영향을 끼치고 있다. 심미학적인 효과에 대한 점증하는 흥미는 새로운 창조의 분야로 예술가들을 내몰고 있다. 발전하는 극장 건축술, 개방 및 다용도 무대의 사용, 장중한 옥외공연에 대한 욕구, 새로운 용구의 수용 등은 끊임없이 극장 무대 디자인에 요구되는 무대예술창조의 요소들이다

Realism and naturalism are modes of dramatic expression, interrelated but not identical. Although they are of major importance in the modern drama, their influence has ebbed during the past twenty years, as their authority has been contested by other forms and concepts. The terms cannot be rigorously defined, and there is a good deal of latitude in the meanings attached to them. Both realism and naturalism are written on the theory that the only true illusion of reality is that which can be checked against actuality. Life is seen objectively, and presented on the plane of everyday experience. Realism is not systematic or methodical, but relies on the observation of the playwright, and may be colored by his likes and dislikes. Naturalism is more scientific in its method, and examines the facts impartially and impassively. The playwright of naturalism removes himself from the play as much as possible, presenting the facts without comment. Realism and naturalism have been accused of ridiculing the idealistic an imaginative side of man, but emphasis on details does not necessarily mean lack of vision. Naturalism is realism followed to its logical extreme, and with an added philosophy of materialism. The playwright of naturalism is not only coldly scintific in his treatment, of actuality, but his outlook is entirely materialistic. In his search for base material he goes to the elemental in life.

Vibrations generated by construction blasting differ from other construction vibrations because of their frequency contents. Since the Construction blast vibration is not continuous, response on the human or the adejacent structure cannot be extrapolated easily from studies of continuous sources such as traffic. This paper presents the characteristics of blasting vibration and the methods of the evaluation of charging weght of the explosives.

The energy of a vibration source acting in or on the ground energy is transmitted by waves. The negative impact of vibrations can be avoided by different methods for vibration screening. The concept for ground waves is based on the use of barriers which are supposed to reflect, scatter and diffract the wave energy. A barrier may consist of either solid, fluid or void zones in the ground. In this paper the effectiveness of the solid bodies in the ground like concrete walls as wave barriers with different types of sections were considered. Six different sections of concrete wave barriers were also investigated. A steady-state harmonic wave field was generated at the surface of the homogeneous half-space. The investigations have been performed theoretically by the Boundary-Element method as a plane strain problem. The results of the calculations show a considerable reduction of the vibrations in the soil.

The effects of railway vibration on nearby structures or equipment become severe with increasing the train speed and they may be also sufficiently intense to annoy the recipients. This paper presents the Boundary Element approach for the evaluation of the dynamic response(in the form of the compliance matrix) of sleeper which can be used to predict the change of the vibration level.

For the noise reduction measures in a construction field where noise sources such as blasting works exist, the construction of the sound barrier near the noise source or receiver is often the most economic measure n order to exclude the propagated sound. The dimension of the barrier is decided by the noise and construction design, and the constructive quality of a soundproof panel shall be secured in accordance with KS F4770 to guarantee the safety of sound barriers. In this paper te problems included in the KS F4770-1, -2, and -3, the regulations for the soundproof panel are identified and it is suggested what to be corrected or improved. Through a series of the analysis, conclusion were reached that it is required to improve test methods in KS F4770-1, -2, and -3 as well as to break down loads for building more cost-effective sound barrier. In addition, Korean standards were compared with ZTV-Lsw 88 which is the German regulation for sound barrier design. As a result, it was found that the Korean regulation is more conservative than that of Germany.
