      • Chatbot as a New Business Communication Tool: The Case of Naver TalkTalk

        Objectives: Chatbot is a program that talks in voice or text. It is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology and is developed in a way to combine with messenger, offering companies new opportunities for business communication. Companies expect cost savings and sales increases by providing chatbot-based services to their customers, such as providing responses to inquiries and fulfilling orders without time constraints. However, the current absence of conversationally perfect AI technology creates a climate in which the public holds unreasonable expectations, as businesses fail to understand the current status of AI and the marketing of chatbot technology companies is hyped. Methods: This is a single-case study. While looking for a successfully deployed chatbot, we found Naver TalkTalk, a card-based chatbot application. We interviewed Naver’s managerial and technical staff four times and acquired internal data as well as external data. Results: We illustrate Naver TalkTalk, a successful card-based business chatbot, and examine how Naver TalkTalk has developed and evolved for effective business communication. The first chatbot started without automation and then failed in the process of evolving to automation. This chatbot was changed to cardbot and was re-automated based on the card-based interface and robotic process automation (RPA). Conclusions: The cardbot-based chatbot is quick and easy to handle, which is why it has been popular among users. It is now becoming a new business communication channel to attract new customers. In addition, the proper automation of business communication is increasing efficiency and reducing costs of businesses.

        Optical Illusion 효과를 응용한 네일 아트 연구

        In modern society that regards extraordinary individuality and self-expression as important, nail art acts as very effective expression means to show unique individuality, as well as a good behavior enough to meet a desire for beauty. In line with this trend of modern society, this study is intended to create novel and sensuous nail art by using illusion which is one characteristic of optical art as motive to suggest nail art design more elegantly and originally. In order to achieve this purpose, this study applied visual effect of illusion out of several formative elements found in optical art as a theoretical background and examined optical illusion human beings feel. Then illusion effect of optical art was analyzed by element and applied it to nail art products. As a result, the following analysis results are summarized. First, illusion motive of optical art could visually highlight particular parts and create unique design with volume. Moreover, the illusion effect could be applied to plane nail art. Second, illusion which reacts immediately through our eyes extended its expression area to systematic, scientific, and rational design. It will contribute to meeting consumer`s aesthetic desire by pursuing a variety of changes of nail art. Third, visual formative elements of optical patterns are consistent with modern sense and establish them as a high dimensional design element which can represent the aesthetic desire and individuality of human beings. In many formative elements found in optical art, form, color, and volume were classified and examined by picture type. As a result, the ornamental element which has geometric image and modern feeling of nail art could be provided. Finally, by maximizing perspective and space depth through the contrast of color, strong impression and concentration was aroused and characteristics of various optical patterns could be highlighted. In conclusion, this study illuminated new possibility and various visual of nail art by applying illusion which is representative of optical art. Further study will focus on the creation of nail art design applying various optical illusion effects to contribute to the development of nail art that meets the flow of times.

        신임소방공무원 정신건강교육 프로그램 개발

        본 연구는 신임소방공무원을 위한 정신건강교육 프로그램을 개발하고 효과성을 검증하고자 하였다. 프로그램은예비연구, 요구분석, 프로그램 모형 구안, 내용선별의 절차를 거쳐 개발되었다. 신규 임용 직원 50명을 대상으로 3일간 총 7회기로 구성하여 진행하였고, 프로그램 전과 후 참가자의 스트레스, 불안, 자기효능감을 비교분석하였다. 그리고 프로그램 종료 6개월 후 참가자 6명을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하여 경험적인 효과성을 조사하였다. 연구결과,프로그램 참가자들의 스트레스와 불안은 유의미하게 낮아지고, 자기효능감이 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 추후 인터뷰결과에서는 이완훈련을 가장 많이 활용하고 있으며, 같이 프로그램에 참여했던 동기들과의 심리적 지지가 업무 부담에서 오는 스트레스를 줄여주는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 신임소방공무원들의 특성을 반영하고 실제참여자의 요구와 전문가의 요구분석을 통해 과학적이고 체계적인 프로그램을 개발하였다는데 의의가 있다. The aim of this study was to develop a Mental Health Education Program for new fire officials and to verify itseffectiveness. The program was developed through a pilot study, needs analysis, model design, and content selection. It wasconducted over three days with a total of seven sessions, with fifty new fire officials participating in the program. Stress,anxiety, and self-efficacy levels among new fire officials were examined before and after the program. The results indicatedthat stress and anxiety were meaningfully reduced after completing the program, and self-efficacy was improved. Interviewsconducted with participants after program completion reported that relaxation training was usually used and thepsychological support of colleagues who also attended the program had the effect of reducing job-related stress. This studymakes a meaningful contribution through developing a program that reflects the characteristics of new fire officials. Theprogram was developed using a scientific and systematic method through needs analysis.

        C형 간염 바이러스 항체 검출용 ADVIA Centaur HCV 측정법의 평가:AxSYM HCV Version 3.0 측정법과의 비교

        Background : The detection of antibody to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) is the most useful method to investigate past or current HCV infections. We performed a clinical evaluation of ADVIA Centaur HCV assay, a new third generation assay for the qualitative detection of IgG antibody. Methods : Included in the study were a total of 323 samples (108 positive and 215 negative), for which HCV reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was requested. ADVIA Centaur HCV assay (Bayer Healthcare LLC, Diagnostics Division, Tarrytown, NY, USA) was compared with a currently available and widely used AxSYM HCV version 3.0 assay (Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, IL, USA). Samples with discrepant results were retested with each assay, and further tested with a recombinant immunoblot assay (RIBA, LG HCD Confirm, LG Chemical Co., Seoul, Korea). Reproducibility of Centaur assay was evaluated in five groups (two samples in each group) with different index values. Results : The overall concordance rate was 91.6% (296/323) between Centaur and AxSYM assays. It was 100% (108/108) in RT-PCR positive samples and 87.4% (188/215) in RT-PCR negative samples. Discrepant samples (8.4%, 27/323) were all RT-PCR negative, and all except two were Centaur negative and AxSYM positive. In discrepant samples, RIBA showed negative results except for two samples with indeterminate results. The sensitivity and specificity of Cenyaur assay were 98.1% and 65.6%, and the respective figures for AxSYM assay were 98.1% and 54.9%. Reproducibility of Centaur assay was satisfactory. Conclusions : The overall concordance between Centaur and AxSYM assays was satisfactory. Sensitivity and specificity of Centaur assay were equivalent to or better than those of AxSYM assay. ADVIA Centaur HCV assay seems to be a reliable and useful method for the detection of anti-HCV in clinical laboratories. 배경 : C형 간염바이러스(HCV) 항체 검사는 과거 및 현재 감염 여부를 조사하기 위해 시행할 수 있는 가장 유용한 방법이다.본 연구에서는 새로 개발된 3세대 면역검사법인 Bayer사의 Cen-taur HCV 항체 검사의 임상적 유용성을 평가하고자 하였다.방법 : HCV 역전사중합효소연쇄반응(RT-PCR)이 의뢰된323검체(양성 108검체와 음성 215검체)를 대상으로 Centaur HCV항체 검사(Bayer Healthcare LLC, Diagnostics Division, Tar-rytown, NY, USA)와 AxSYM HCV 항체 검사(version 3.0,Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, IL, USA)를 시행하였다.검사 결과에 불일치를 보인 검체들은 각 시약으로 재검을 하고LG HCD Confirm (LG 화학, 서울, 대한민국) 시약으로 면역블롯검사(RIBA)를 시행하여 확인하였다. Index 수치에 따라 나눈 5군에서 각각 2검체씩을 선택하여 Centaur 측정법의 재현성을 평가하였다.결과 : Centaur와 AxSYM HCV 항체 검사 간의 일치율은91.6% (296/323)였고, RT-PCR 양성 검체에서는 100% (108/108), 음성 검체에서는 87.4% (188/215)였다. 불일치 검체(8.4%,27/323)는 모두 HCV RT-PCR 음성이었고, 2예를 제외하고는Centaur 음성이면서 AxSYM 양성 결과를 보였다. 불일치 검체들에 대한 RIBA 결과는 불확정 결과를 보인 2예를 제외하고 모두 음성이었다. Centaur HCV 항체 검사의 민감도와 특이도는98.1%와 65.6%였고, AxSYM 검사법에서는 각각 98.1%와 54.9%였다. Centaur 검사법의 재현성은 우수하게 관찰되었다. 결론 : 두 항체 검사 간의 전반적 일치율은 양호한 범위에 속하였다. Centaur HCV 항체 검사의 민감도와 특이도는 AxSYM 검사법과 비교할 때 이에 상응하거나 다소 우수하였다. Centaur HCV항체 검사는 HCV 항체 검출을 위한 유용한 방법으로 평가된다.

        알코올의존성의 객관적 표지자로서 탄수화물결핍 트랜스페린의 진단적 유용성

        Background : Biochemical markers can provide objective evidence of heavy alcohol drinking. In this study, we investigated the diagnostic usefulness of carbohydrate-deficient transferrin (CDT), a relatively new marker of alcohol consumption. Methods : We consecutively enrolled 81 participants aged between 28 and 69 years, consisting of 44 alcohol-dependent patients and 37 age-matched controls. Relative values (%) of CDT were determined in their sera with turbidimetric immunoassay (Bio-Rad %CDT assay, Axis-Shield ASA, Oslo, Norway), and were compared with two conventional markers of alcohol consumption, gammaglutamyl transferase (GGT) and mean corpuscular volume (MCV). Results : The distribution patterns of %CDT among alcohol-dependent patients and controls were significantly different from each other (P=0.0000). Of the 44 alcohol-dependent patients, positive results of %CDT (≥2.6%), GGT (>50 IU/L), and MCV (>98 fL) were observed in 43 (97.7%), 35 (79.5%), and 24 (54.5%) patients, respectively. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (95% confidence interval) for %CDT, GGT, and MCV were 0.995 (0.946-1.000), 0.894 (0.805-0.951), and 0.768 (0.661-0.855), respectively. Discrimination between alcohol-dependent patients and controls, as measured by the areas under the ROC curves, was significantly better for %CDT than for GGT and MCV (P=0.000 and P=0.006, respectively). Conclusions : CDT seems to be the most reliable of the three markers tested for chronic alcohol consumption, and it may provide a useful information to for the objective detection of alcohol-dependent patients. (Korean J Lab Med 2004; 24: 40-4) 배경 : 생화학적 표지자들은 알코올과다섭취에 대한 객관적 증거를 제시할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 알코올섭취에 대한 새로운표지자인 탄수화물결핍 트랜스페린(carbohydrate-deficient trans-ferrin,CDT)의 진단적 유용성을 평가하였다. 방법 : 연구대상은 모두 81명이었으며, 나이는 28세에서 69세까지 분포하였다. 환자군에는 4명의 알코올의존성 환자, 대조군에는37명의 정상인이 포함되었다. 이들의 혈청에서 면역비탁법(Bio-Rad %CDT assay, Axis-Shield ASA, Oslo, Norway)으로 CDT의 상대치인 %CDT를 측정하고, 기존에 알려진 알코올섭취의 표지자들인 gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) 및 평균적혈구용적(mean corpuscular volume, MCV)과 비교하였다. 결과 : %CDT의 분포는 환자군과 대조군 사이에 유의한 차이가 있었다(P=0.0000). 환자군에서 %CDT, GGT, MCV의 양성률은 각 97.7% (43/44), 79.5% (35/44), 54.5% (24/44)로 관찰되었다. %CDT, GGT, MCV에 대한 수신 자동작곡선의 아래면적(95% 신뢰구간)은 각 0.995 (0.946-1.000), 0.894 (0.805-0.951), 0.768 (0.661-0.855)이었다. 수신자동작곡선의 아래면적으로 구한 알코올의존성 환자군과 대조군 간의 변별력은 %CDT에서 GT와 MCV에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 양호하였다(각각의P=0.006 및 0.000). 결론 : CDT는 만성 알코올섭취에 대한 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 표지자로 생각되며, 알코올의존성 환자들의 객관적 검출에 유용하게 쓰일 수 있을 것이다.
