        Medetomidine Sedation and Its Antagonism by Yohimbine in Dogs

        The purpose of this study was to determine the antagonistic effects of yohimbine on sedation induced in dogs with medetomidine. Six mixed breed dogs were repeatedly used at a 2 weeks withdrawal time in this study. The dogs received 40 μg/kg of medetomidine followed 15 minutes later by 0.2 ml/kg saline solution (group M) or 0.11 mg/kg yohimbine (group MY). All the dogs were examined before and 5, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 120 and 150minutes after the injection of medetomidine, and the induction and recovery times, vital signs, blood biochemistry and anesthetic quality were recorded. There were significant differences in the recovery of anesthesia between the groups. In both groups the heart rate decreased rapidly down to five minutes after the administration of medetomidine. The activity of ALT, AST and the protein concentration did not change significantly in either group and there was no significant difference between them at any time. Response to noise, muscle tone and analgesic score in the MY group at 30 minutes were significantly lower than those of the M group. When recovering from anesthesia, the dogs treated with yohimbine took less time to achieve sternal recumbency and less time to be able to stand and walk. It was concluded that yohimbine reversed effectively medetomidine sedation in dogs.

        中·高等學生의 醫藥品廣告에 대한 態度 및 廣告依存 購買經驗

        중·고등학교 학생들의 의약품광고에 대한 태도 및 광고에 의존한 구매경험을 알아보기 위하여 1997년 3월 24일에서3월 29일까지 대구광역시 소재 6개 중·고등학교의 2학년 학생 1,097명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 대상자들은 의약품 정보를 49.9%가 TV, 라디오를 통하여 얻고 있고, 의약품광고에 접하고 있는 비율은 83.6%였으며, 의약품광고에 대해서는 대상자의 55.8%가 보통 이상의 관심을 가지고 있었고, 74.6%가 의약품광고가 필요하다고 하였다. 의약품광고 내용에 대해서는 69.2%가 보통 이상으로 신뢰하고 있었고, 비광고의약품(4.4%)보다는 광고의약품(50.3%)에 대한 신뢰도가 높았다. 대상자의 83.9%가 의약품광고가 의약품 구매시 영향을 미친다고 하였다. 의약품광고에서 허위·과장광고를 많이 한다고 한 학생이 67.3%였고, 38.6%는 의약품광고로 인해 구매충동을 느낀적이 있다고 하였고, 50.7%는 의약품광고를 보고 자가진단을 한 경험이 있다고 하였다. 의약품 구입장소로는 집·학교 근처의 가까운 약국이 70.1%로 가장 높았고, 그 다음은 잘 낫는다고 생각되는 약국 순이었다. 또 전문가의 지시가 아닌 자가선택에 의한 습관적으로 사용한 약이 있다라고 응답한 학생도 29.2%였다. 자가선택에 의해 습관적 약 사용여부는 의약품광고를 많이 접할수록, 의약품광고에 대해 관심이 많을수록, 의약품광고가 정보를 얻는데 도움을 많이 준다고 생각할수록, 의약품광고가 의약품 구매시에 많은 영향을 미친다고 생각할수록, 의약품광고로 인해 구매충동을 느껴본 적이 있는 경우, 의약품광고를 보고 자가진단 경험이 있는 경우가 더 많이 사용하고 있었다(p<0.01). 광고에 의존한 구매경험이 있는 자는 64.2%였는데, 광고의존 의약품 구매경험 여부를 종속변수로 하여 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석(Multiple Logistic Regression Analysis)을 실시한 결과, 분석에 사용한 16개 변수 중 의약품 정보원, 의약품광고 접촉도, 광고의약품과 비광고의약품의 신뢰도, 의약품광고가 의약품 구매시 미치는 영향, 구매충동 등 모두 5개 변수가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 즉, 의약품정보윈이 대중매체일수록, 의약품광고를 많이 접할수록, 광고의약품을 더욱 신뢰할수록, 의약품 광고가 의약품 구매시 영향을 많이 준다고 생각할수록, 구매충동을 느껴본 적이 있을수록 광고에 의존해 의약품을 구매한 경험이 더 많았다. 따라서 중·고등학생들의 광고로 인한 의약품 오·남용을 방지하기 위해서는 정부의 의약품광고에 대한 규제 강화와 함께 광고주의 윤리의식 강화, 제도적 측면에서의 의약분업과 약물복용에 관한 학교보건교육이 비중있게 다루어져야 한다고 생각한다. This study was carried out to examine middle and high school students' attitude to medicine advertising and their purchasing experience depending on advertising by using the questionnaires with 1,097 two-year students of six middle and high schools located within Taegu City from March 24 to May 29, 1997. The results of this study were summarized as follows. It was shown that 49.9% of the respondents obtained the information on medicines from TV or radio and 83.6% came in contact with medicine advertising. In the aspect of degree of interest in medicine advertising, 55.8% of respondents had the degree of interest above average and 74.6% responded that the medicine advertising is necessary. In the aspect of contents of medicine advertising, 69.2% of respondents had the degree of confidence above average. This degree of confidence in advertised medicines(50.3%) was higher than nonadvertised ones(4.4%). The percentage of students who responded that the medicine advertising had an effect on purchasing the medicines was 83.9%. The students of 67.3% thought that there are many false or exaggerated medicine advertisements, 38.6% responded that they have had some experience in feeling an impulse to purchase by the medicine advertising, and 50.7% also responded that they have also had experience in performing self-diagnosis after seeing the medicine advertising. It was shown that the highest, 70.1% of students purchased the medicine at a drugstore near to home or school, and 20.8% did at a drugstore, they thought, that made out a good prescription. The percentage of students who responded that there are the medicines that they used habitually according to their own choice, not directions of professional specialists amounted to 29.2%. The percentage of respondents who have had experience in purchasing the medicines by advertising accounted for 63.1%. As a result of performing the multiple logistic regression analysis by using the experience in purchasing the medicines by advertising as a dependent variable, it was shown that five of sixteen variables used in the analysis had a significant effect(p<0.01). The five variables include the source of information on medicines, degree of contact with medicine advertising, degree of confidence in advertised and nonadvertised medicines, effect of medicine advertising on purchasing the medicines and impulse to purchase. The degree of experience in purchasing the medicines by advertising was higher if the source of information on medicines was the mass media, the degrees of contact with medicine advertising and confidence in advertised medicines were higher, it was thought that the medicine advertising had more effect on purchasing the medicines, there was an experience in feeling an impulse to purchase. In conclusion, to prevent middle and high school students' abuse and misuse of medicines due to advertising, it is required to tighten the governmental regulation of medicine advertising, intensify the advertiser's spirit of ethics, separate dispensary from medical practice in the aspect of system, and increase school's health education of medicinal use.

        가는줄돌쩌기 알칼로이드 성분의 분리 및 산화적 특성

        From the under ground part of Aconitum volubile Pall. (Ranunculaceae), seven nor- or di-terpenoid alkaloids were isolated and identified by NMR spectra and mass spectrum. The alkaloids were three C19-norditerpenoid alkaloids such as isotalatizidine, altaconitine and vilmorrianine A, and four C20-diterpenoid alkaloids such as 12-epidehydronapelline, 12-epinapelline, songoramine and songorine. Some of the isolated diterpenoid alkaloids were subjected to oxidation reaction with active MnO2 and oxoammonium salt. The results were C-12 oxidation(ketone formation) and N-dealkylation in veatchin-type and decomposition to non-alkaloidal compounds in atisine-type ajaconine.

        한 · 일 양언어의 음성적 특징과 발음

        Japanese Phonological system is simpler than the Korean, if native speakers of relatively complex Korean learns its system, it can be considered master is the more easily. However, in the Japanese pronunciation of the Korean native speakers who speak Japanese actually, unlike popular belief, problems considerable have been discovered. The differences between learning language and mother tongue, and the like because of the largest in the cause of many of the problems that appear in the learning of a foreign language well. This means that the interference of the mother tongue is acting as the biggest obstacle to learning a foreign language. In order to solve the problem due to the interference of the mother tongue that can occur when a Korean native speakers to pronounce Japanese, contrastive analysis on the characteristics of the phonemes of Japan and South Korea both languages is required. When the language representation by the speech, the accuracy of speech representation for smooth communication is required, but representation based on judgment recognition and arbitrary of voice, since an obstacle considerable communication. Therefore, it can be instructed to properly pronounce it correctly recognize the phoneme of Japanese and Korean in the field of Japanese education is important. Analysis of phonological contrast between Korean and Japanese both languages must be preceded even for that. In this paper, taking into account the impact in the event of a failure, rather than similarity of the voice characteristics of the Korea-Japan both languages , differences between the native language, the Japanese pronunciation of the Korean native speakers when they speak Japanese I have discussed about the differences that may affect learning.
