        현대 남성복에 나타난 양성성에 관한 디자인 연구

        In terms of historical aspect, costume had potentially developed in the basis of sexual classification. However, the common notion converts into potentially changeable one. Men is not dithering about showing their woman-like behavior, emotion and appearance. In special, bisexuality of costume in the 20th century is an acceptance of woman-like details in menswear. Bisexuality of menswear has generally developed since the late 1960's. The study analyzed bisexuality of social viewpoint and examined the fads of bisexuality in 20C menswear. For the survey of design work, they are divided into androgynous, emo-style, metro-sexual, cross-sexual, uber-sexual, borderless and unisex. Those are classified into pop culture of bisexuality, sexuality of bisexuality and sexlessness of bisexuality. The inspiration of design works, based on uncertainty, integration and dissolution, and the analysis of feminine details are used for creative design works.         효소유도제 및 glutathione이 전배자배양된 랫드태자에서 cyclophosphamide의 독성에 미치는 영향

        Cyclophosphamide (CP) must be enzymatically activated by cytochrome P450(CYP)-linked mixed-function oxidation pathway to be either mutagenic or teratogenic. Influences of alterations in hepatic mixed-function oxidase acitivity and glutathione (GSH) content on the embryotoxicity of CP were studied in rat whole embryo culture system. The embryotoxicity of CP was compared using rat S-9 fraction (S-9) pretreated with chemicals inducing different CYP isozymes, acetone (ACE), Aroclor 1254 (ARO), $\beta$-naphthoflavone (NAF) and phenobarbital (PHE). When 10.5 day embryos were cultured in the immediately centrifuged rat serum for 48 hrs using general gas char{ging schedule, CP$(40{\mu}g/ml)$ with S-9 induced by either NAF or PHE increased the incidence of realformations and significantly decreased embryonic growth compared with the non-induced S-9 group. ACE or ARO induced S-9 group showed no significant difference in embryonic growth. These data suggest that PB and/or NAF inducible CYP isoenzymes are mainly involved in the activation of CP. To examine the effect of GSH on the embryotoxicity of CP, 10.5 day embryos were exposed to CP and S-9 after preincubation with 10 mM of GSH for 3 hrs. In the GSH pretreated group the growth of embryos increased significantly compared with that of the untreated group, suggesting that GSH may protect embryos in culture from some toxic effects of CP.

        원방우황청심원의 랫드 최기형성에 관한 연구

        A teratogenic study on Original Woo-Whang-Chung-Sim-Won was carried out in SpragueDawley rats. Original Woo-Whang-Chung-Sim-Won suspended in distilled water was administered to pregnant dams by oral gavage during organogenesis period (from 7th to 17th day of gestation) at daily doses of 1/9, 1/3 and I pill/kg. About two-thirds of dams were sacrificed at 20th day of gestation to scrutinize the pregnant performances and fetal development, and the remaining dams were allowed to deliver. The growth, reflex, behaviour and reproductive function of F1 offsprings were examined. There was no treatment-related difference in body weight, food consumption and necropy findings of dams. No gross, skeletal and visceral abnormalities was observed in F1 fetuses from dams treated with Original Woo-Whang-Chung-Sim-Won. F1 offsprings did not show any treatment-related difference in growth, reflex, behaviour and reproductive peuformance. At caesarean section of F1 dams, no growth retardation and gross abnormality was observed in F2 fetuses. In conclusion, Original Woo-Whang-Chung-Sim-Won did not show any potential teratogenic activity in rats.

        In situ hybridization 을 이용한 전배자의 β - retinoic acid receptor 의 분포에 관한 연구

        Retinoic acid (RA) is known to be teratogenic in mammals causing a range of defects including abnormalities in craniofacial development. To investigate the effect of RA during organogenesis, in situ hybridization with digoxigenin labeled probe was used to study the localization of RAR-β transcripts in the rat embryos from day 10.5 to day 12.5 of development. Day 10.5 old rat embryos were exposed to all trans-retinoic acid for the culture period (48hrs). Embryonic growth was retarded at any concentration of RA. Hypoplasia of branchial arches and short limb bud occurred commonly. RAR-β transcripts were distributed in anterior facial mesenchyme, branchimal arches, otic area, mesonephros and neuroepithelial lining cells. Distribution in vitro was not different from that of in vivo. These results leave open the possibility that RAR-β is involved in mediating the effects of applied retinoic acid upon facial development. The level of expression was shown in the group treated with 30㎍/㎖ most extensively and was reduced in the group of 3㎍/㎖, vehicle control and non-treated control gradually. Clear changes in the expression of RAR-β were detectable after RA treatment in a dose-dependent manner.

        A study on modeling customer preferences for conceptual design

        In this paper, we propose a concept selection method to evaluate future market performances of concept candidates, and to choose thebest concept among those. The main and interaction effects of product performance factors, economic factors, and time on a market performanceare modeled using a Bayesian framework-based Artificial neural network (ANN). The Bayesian framework is employed tomeasure the potential risk of wrong selection in using a trained ANN model. Based on the measured uncertainty bounds in the predictedfuture market performance, the most promising and robust concept may be selected. To validate our concept-selection method, we employedan automobile concept selection problem in the U.S. market. Seventeen concepts were assumed to compete in 2013, and the futuremarket share with error bounds was predicted using the trained model based on sale data.

        Fault Diagnosis of Planetary Gear Carrier Packs: A Class Imbalance and Multiclass Classification Problem

        Fault diagnosis plays a key role in monitoring manufactured products for the purpose of quality control. Among the several fault diagnosis approaches, knowledge-based fault diagnosis, which uses signals from sensors and machine learning algorithms instead of a priori information, is widely employed to diagnose the status of products. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based procedure to establish a fault diagnosis model. The model is aimed to diagnose planetary gear carrier packs, which have many fault types and an unbalanced number of samples in the sample classes, using transmission error. In the procedure, the best feature subset that contains the most important features is selected using two different feature selection processes. Several ensemble algorithms are used during the model training process. The imbalance ratio between classes of samples is addressed. The number of weak learners is automatically determined by a genetic algorithm. Finally, the performance of the proposed procedure is validated by comparison with other models trained without applying the proposed procedure. We observed that it is important to incorporate the class imbalance technique in the training process as it reduces the misclassification of faulty products as normal ones. This reduction is important in production quality control.

        The Expression of AGO2 and DGCR8 in Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss

        Objectives. The microRNAs have been implicated in the development and function of the inner ear, especially in contribu- tion to hearing. However, the impact of idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) on expression of miR- NA biogenesis-related components has not been established. To investigate the regulations of microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis-related components, argonaute 2 (AGO2) and DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 8 (DGCR8) mRNA expression in SSNHL and to evaluate the value of clinical parameters on their expression. Methods. Thirty-seven patients diagnosed with SSNHL and fifty-one healthy volunteers were included in this study. We measured mRNA expression levels of AGO2 and DGCR8 in whole blood cells but erythrocytes of patients with SSNHL and controls, using reverse transcription and real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis. Results. The mRNA expression level of AGO2 is upregulated in SSNHL. The expression level of AGO2 was significantly correlated with that of DGCR8 in both patients with SSNHL and controls. Expression level of AGO2 in SSNHL was correlated with white blood cell counts. Conclusion. This study demonstrated for the first time that the AGO2 mRNA expression level was upregulated in SSNHL, suggesting its important role in pathobiology of SSNHL development.
