Seventeen antiserum identified by stormont method were used for investigation of appearance type of red blood cell in Cheju horse. Phenotype $A_1$, A', Z, $ZZ_2$, C, K, $P_1$, Q, R, S, $U_2$, X and $N_1$ were classified by Hemolytic reaction and agglutination in $E_2$, H, J and $T_1$, Hokkaido horse and Thoroughbred horse were compared with the type of red blood cell. The results obtained are as follows ; 1. According to the appearance frequency of red blood cell the phenotypes could be classified by 6 groups among horses tested; I group : C, $A_1$, $ZZ_2$, $E_2$, S, Q, II : $P_1$, $U_2$, X, III : A', R, IV : $T_1$, K, V : H, J, VI, $N_1$, Z. 2. In group I the type of C, $A_1$ and $ZZ_2$ showed the Similar frequency among horses but the type of $E_2$, S and Q was lower in Cheju horse than Hokkaido and Thoroughbred horse. 3. In group II there was no differences in the type of $P_1$ and among three species, but Thoroughbred horse was lowest as 11.2 percent than Cheju and Hokkaido horse. 4. The type of $U_2$ and X were highest in Cheju and Hokkaido horse but lowest in Thoroughbred horse. 5. The type of A' and R observed higher appearance frequency in Hoklcaido horse but in the Thoroughbred and Cheju horse appearance ratio were Strikingly lowered. 6. The type of $T_1$ and K was shown higher appearance frequency in Cheju and Thoroughbred horse similarily but lowered in Hokkaido horse. 7. In group V the type of H and J showed similarily as 30 to 40 percent in Cheju and Thoroughbred but no observation in Hokkaido horse. 8. The type of $N_1$ and Z which are group VI was great difference between Cheju and Hokkaido horse but higher in Hokkaido than Cheju horse while there was no observation in thoroughbred horse.

The resnlt of A.I. for 1044 heads of adult cow, in 8 farm-stocks was obtained 599 heads of Pregnant cow, and they were checked the location of fetus at right and left uterus horn, by the rectal Palpation. And the results are as follows. 1. A.I. Was Practiced to the Cestrus 835 heads of Cow among 1044 heads of adult Cow. 2. The numbers of A.I. to the oestrus 835 heads of cow were 1466 times and it means that A.I. took place average 1.75 times per head and that is 2.44 times per head to get pregnacy of them. 3. The Conception rate was pretty good as 71.73%, 599 heads among 835 heads. 4. The number of Conception was 382 head(63.77%) at the right uterus horn, and 217 heads (36.23%) at the left uterus horn. The incidence was almost same as that DR. Salisbury reported about "On the Variation of ovulations frequency between the right and left ovury in cows". And the recidences of reproductive disorder were obtained 125 heads(11.97%) among 1044 heads of all adult cows. They were classified Pregnanced, Non pregnanced, Physiological Vacancied, and Reproductive disordered cow. The obtained datas are as follows : 5. The most causes of reproductive disorder were found to be as endocrine disorder and Occupied 103 heads(82.40%) among 125 heads. 6. The Ovury hypoplasia was 23 heads(18.40%), Repeat breeder was 41 heads (32.80%) and it's showing respectably. 7. And it's showing respectively that Ovury cyst was 15.20%, Endometritis was 13.60%. Since it's caused the non-oestrus period longer, the more serious economic loss occured. It's needed the precaution and the theraphy for that cases rapidly.

        한방근,장덕지,현해성,Han, Bang-kuen,Chang, Duk-gi,Hyun, Hae-sung 대한수의학회 1990 大韓獸醫學會誌 Vol.30 No.4

The values of blood composition were analyzed by age, season, and sex from Chejuhorse in Korea. The results obtained were summarized as follow; 1. The values of white blood cell(WBC), packed cell volume(PCV), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) were significantly different between age. The WBC value was decreased with the progress of age and the PCV value was lower in the early age of 1,2 to 3 years than in the higher age of 4 to 5, and over 6 years. 2. The mean value of MCV was increased with the progress of age but the adverse was true in MCHC. 3. In the case of seasons, the values of red blood cell(RBC), WBC, hemoglobin(Hb) PCV, MCV, mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH), MCHC, globulin(Glo), albumin/globulin(A/G) ratio, inorganic phosphorus(Pi), cholesterol(Chol), and chlorine(Cl) showed significant differences. The number of RBC was not varied from winter to summer but decreased in autumn. The number of WBC was high in summer and autumn, but low in winter and spring. 4. The values of MCV were high in autumn and winter, but low in spring and summer. 5. The values of MCH and MCHC were similar in spring and summer, but strikingly increased in autumn. 6. The values of Glo and A/G ratio were negatively correlated with the season; The value of A/G ratio was lowest in summer but no differences were observed in spring, autumn and winter. On the other hand, the value of Glo was highest in summer but no differences were observed in spring, autumn, and winter. 7. The values of Pi, Chol, and CI were high in summer and winter, but low in spring and autumn. 8. The values of RBC, MCV, and MCH were significantly different between sex. The value of the RBC count in male was higer than the female, but the adverse is true in MCV, and MCH.

Vol.30 No.2

This study was purposed to produce blood typing reagents for classifing Cheju horse's blood group factors. The blood typing reagents were prepared by immunization of sixteen pairs out of fourty eight heads of Cheju horses, and seventeen different blood typing reagents (anti-$A_1$, A', H, Z, $ZZ_2$, C, J, K, $P_1$, Q, R, S, $T_1$, $N_1$, $U_2$, X and $E_2$) were prepared from equine isoimmunization. The result for the reagent production and the variation of agglutinin and hemolysin titer are as follows: 1. Anti-K, R, S, $N_1$, $U_2$ and X acted exclusively as hemolysins whereas anti-J, $P_1$, $T_1$ and $E_2$ acted exclusively as agglutinins, however, Anti-$A_1$, A', H, Z, $ZZ_2$, C and Q reacted both as hemolysins and agglutinins. 2. Among the antibodies in most of the reagents reacted both as hemolysins and agglutinins, But anti-$A_1$, H, Z, $ZZ_2$ and Q elevated higher agglutin titers than hemolysin titers, Anti-A' and anti-C elevated higher hemolysin titers than agglutinin titers. 3. Complex antibody $A_1U_2$ was adsorbed $U_2$ and unified to $A_1$, while complex antibody X $N_1$ went through an adsorption process and produced simple antibody X and $N_1$, respectively. 4. In the hemolytic reaction, anti-K and anti-R showed the highest titer, In the agglutination reaction, anti-Z and anti-$ZZ_2$ showed the highest titer. 5. In the case of No.138~No.140 horse immunization combination and No.133~No.146 horse immunization combination, Although production of complex antibody $CE_2$ and $JP_1$ were expected, only anti-$E_2$ and anti-J were produced respectively. 6. The degree of elevation of antibody titer was varied by the blood types and by the types of donor and recipient combination. The fast elevating types, slow elevating types and types that never elevate the antibody titer were identified.

Samples of blood were taken from 104 horses in Chejudo and the blood grouping investigations were carried out , using 17 types of Stormont's standard reagents : A_(1), A', Z , ZZ_(2), C, K, P, Q, R, S, U_(2), X, N_(1), E_(2), H, J and T_(1) types. Blood samples were also taken form 37 horses in Hok-kaido and were examined for comparison. E_(2), H, J and T_(1) 4 types among all of erythrocyte types of horses were detected by agglutinative reaction and A_(1), A', Z, ZZ_(2), C, K, P, Q, R, S, U_(2), X and N_(1), 13 types were detected by hemolytic reaction and the results obtained were summarized as follows. 1. Over 80% of erythrocyte types of horses in Cheludo were U_(2), X, ZZ_(2), and A_(1) 4 types and over 50% types were T_(1), C, E_(2) and N_(1), 4 types and the phenotypes frequencies of others were low percentage comparatively less than 50%. H and A' types were lowest of 15.38% respectively. 2. Four types of U_(2), X, ZZ_(2) and A_(1) were showed high phenotype frequencies in erythrocyte types of both species of horses and also high requencies in horses of Hokkaido were R type of 97.29% but showed the differences of 42.30% in horses of Chejudo. 3. The second, higher types of phenotype frequencies wire C, E2, N1 and R types and t1 types was high of 77.88% comparatively in horses of Chejudo, but they were merely 37.83% in horses of Hokkaido. H types was low type of 15.38% in horses of Chejudo but it was nnoe showed entirely in horses of Hokkaido, J type showed was 43.26% in horses of Chejudo but it was none showed in horses of Hokkaido. The other hand, a' type as 81.08% in horses of Hokkaido but it was 15.38% of most low frequencies in horses of Chejudo. 4. Seventeen blood types were all showed in horses of Chejudo but 2 types of H, J were not showed entirely i horses of Hokkaido. Therefore, it was confirmed that the differences in phenotype frequencies of erythrocytes among of the both species of horses.

The work was conducted with tole purpose of investigation on the development pattern of epididymis in accordance with the growth of meat-type cockerels. 1. Histological features of various ductules in epididymis of the cockerel on the age of weeks were as follow: within 10 weeks after hatching rete testis and connecting ductules were well developed but efferent ductules were observed in immature form. During 10th to 20th week, the lining epithelium of various ductules in epididymis was in the developing stage near to the mature form. From 21th week, various ductules were abruptly matured. Lumen of rete testis was lined by simple squamous or simple columnar epithelial cells and that of efferent ductules, having many folds and being larger than any others, were lined by ciliated pseudostratified columnar epithelium with ciliated columnar cells, clear cells and basal cells were noted. Luminal epithelium of connecting ductules was composed of ciliated low pseudostratified columnar epithelial cells, ciliated columnar cells, clear cells and basal cells. The luminal surface of epididymal ducts was pseudostratified columnar epithelium and which was composed of high columnar cells and basal cells. 2. In the India ink absorption test, India ink granules were noted above the nucleus of some cells in the efferent ductules and the connecting ductules at 7 hours after administration of India ink to the mature epididymis, but not absorbed in the other ductules. The granules reactive to acid phosphatase were most abundant in some epithelial cells of efferent ductules and connecting ductules, especially above the nucleus of cells. The granules reactive to alkaline phosphatase were noted on the luminal border of efferent ductules. The granules reactive to PAS were scattered in the epithelial cells of efferent ductules and connecting ductules.
