        모래로 치환된 점토지반의 지지력비에 따른 얕은 기초의 지지력 특성

        In this study, we considered the bearing capacity of strip footing over clay layers partially replaced by sand. The FEM analysis is performed to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity. Partial replacement is defined by multiples of footing width(B) and inclination of sides. The cases(B'=inf.) of sand layers equal to clay layers are preferentially conducted. The baring capacity of B'=inf. is comparative value for bearing capacity of partial replacement layers. is the ratio of ultimate bearing capacity of B'=inf and partial ultimate bearing capacity replacement. is used to analyze the characteristic of bearing capacity of clay layers partially replaced by sand. Each of the three undrained shear strengths of clay and friction angles of sand is considered. The result of this analysis shows that depends on sand depth.

        Petunia hybrida에 Agrobacterium으로 도입된 bar Gene의 발현과 후대검정

        This experiment was carried out to confirm the stability of bar gene introduced into petunia plant through Agrobacerium-mediated transformation. Twenty-five transgenic plants T$_{0}$ plants, back cross (BC$_1$) populations to wild type and F$_1$plants between different T$_{0}$ plants were prepared, and polymerase chain reaction(PCR), PCR-Southern blot analysis, and field test with 0.1% Basta treatment were done. The results of PCR, PCR-Southern blot hybridization, and field test indicated that NPTII and bar gene introduced into the genome of petuina plants were stably transmitted to their progenies, and conferred the plants resistance to herbicide, Basta.sta.

        교통사고로 인한 어지럼 환자의 임상양상

        Background and Objectives With increasing frequency of car accidents, patients of dizziness caused by car accidents are also increasing. Various types of dizziness or vertigo can occur from car accidents depending on different injury mechanisms. Since accurate diagnosis is important for providing proper treatments, we evaluated clinical characteristics related to vestibular function of patients with dizziness caused car accidents. Subjects and Method In this retrospective case review study that runs from January 2011 to March 2013, a total of 82 patients with dizziness following car accident were enrolled consecutively. We analyzed the final diagnosis of dizziness according to different mechanisms of injury during car accident through clinical record review. Patients who developed dizziness within one month of car accident were included, excluding those who had temporal bone fracture and previous history of dizziness. Results Of the different types observed, 36.6% was head injury, 24.4% whiplash injury, 3.7% complex injury, 2.4% others and the rest was unknown. In the final diagnosis, the different types included 36.6% benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), 23.2% unclassifiable dizziness, 18.3% cervical vertigo, 7.3% labyrinthine concussion, 3.7% BPPV with labyrinthine concussion and the rest was others. Of the different types of dizziness symptoms, 58.5% was headache, 45.1% was audiologic symptoms, and others included earfullness, tinnitus and hearing disturbance. Tinitogram and pure tone audiogram results show that 2.9% (27 people) of patients have tinnitus and 7.3% (6 people) have hearing disturbance. Conclusion An accurate diagnosis and timely management would be very important in forming a proper approach for post traumatic vertigo patients.         Petunia에 도입된 bar Gene의 세대진전에 따른 발현 양상

        Agrobacterium을 이용하여 도입된 유전자의 세대진전, 교잡 등에 따른 유전적 안정성을 확인코자, 형질 전환으로부터 얻어진 bar 유전자가 도입된 형질전환 식물체들을 상호 교배, 여교배, T$_4$ 세대까지의 자식의 반복 등에 의해 유전적 안정성을 검토하였다. 조합이나 계통에 따라서는 일부 멘델식 분리를 따르지 않고 제초제 Basta에 대한 저항성이 사라지거나 저항성개체보다 감수성개체가 기대치보다 많은 등의 경우가 있었으나, 대부분 멘델식 분리를 따르고 있어 세대진전, 교배 등에 의해서도 유전적 안정성이 높게 유지됨을 확인할 수 있었다. On the processing of experiment, it was found that some lines lost their resistant ability to herbicide basta, or showed non-Mendelian segregation mode: produced much more susceptible segregants than resistant plants. Even though there are exceptional cases, which was off from expected, the genetic stability of bar gene introduced could be confirmed strongly, because in almost case, the segregation of resistant and susceptible plants to basta was done under Mendelian-law according to single gene dominant model.

        코 성형술을 시행받는 남성 환자들의 심리적 특징

        Background and Objectives The demand for rhinoplasty has been high for both men andwomen over the years; recently, however, it is rapidly increasing for men as their interest in aestheticshas heightened. This study investigated the psychological characteristics of male patientswho underwent rhinoplasty through questionnaire-guided consultation. In addition, weinvestigated the difference between patients and surgeons regarding their aesthetic concernsfor rhinoplasty. Subjects and Method Of the male patients who underwent rhinoplasty from January 2006to December 2012, 124 patients who had completed the questionnaires were included. Thequestionnaire for rhinoplasty asked about the basic personality traits of patients, patients’complaints about their nose, reasons for receiving the operation and expectation for postoperativechange. Results Patients responded most to the item, “I have high expectations for the surgery” forthe question regarding personality characteristics, followed by the response, “I am concernedabout my health.” Regarding questions about reasons for rhinoplasty, complaints about theirdorsum were high; among these patients, they were most concerned about the appearance ofthe ‘crooked nose’ when viewed from the front. On the other hand, the concern for the ‘poorlydefined nasal tip’ was not high, whereas it was defined as one of the problems mentioned bythe surgeons. Conclusion These results show differences regarding aesthetic concerns between the patientsand the surgeon, especially regarding the nasal tip. It would be helpful for both patientand surgen to plan the surgery after careful consultation based on the questionnaire, accurateunderstanding of the patients’ complaints and expectations to obtain satisfactory results forboth.

        This paper describes the process of extracting defect from photomask images. In the process, not only a test image, which may have defects, but also a reference image, which do not have any defect is used. From the two images, a binary defect image whose pixel value indicates the existence of defect at the pixel is obtained.
