본 연구에서는 가상균열진전법과 수정 J-적분식을 연계하여 사용할 수 있는 유한요소 프로그램을 개발하고, 이 프로그램을 기존 결과가 있는 2상재료에 적응하여 타당성을 검토한 후, 다상재료의 경우에도 확장하였고, 실제 상변태가 발생하는 중수(heavy water)형 원자로 압력관(pressure tube)의 균열해석에 적용하여 보았다. The objective of this paper is to develop a numerical technique for analyzing crack driving forces in multi-phase materials. The analysis was based on finite element method coupled with a virtual crack extension technique which is known as the most efficient tool in computational fracture mechanics analysis. The modified J-integral method, proposed by Miyamoto and Kikuchi for the analysis of dual-phase material was carried out by subtracting the J-values for contours surrounding each phase boundary from the J-values for overall contour. It was shown that the proposed numerical procedure, based on the modified J-integral coupled with a virtual crack extension technique, can be used as an effective numerical tool for determining crack driving forces in multi-phase materials.

It is believed that serum haptoglobin is mostly synthesized in the liver, since in severe hepatocelluar dysfunction the serum haptoglobin level is usually decreased. On the other hand, in various diseases including nephrosis the serum haptoglobin level is increased very much. Therefore, there exists possibility that haptoglobin is also synthesized in the xtrahepatic tissues. The present experiment was undertaken to determine whether the kidney is also able to synthesize the serum haptoglobin or not. Three cases of kidney transplantation which were performed at the St. Mary's Hospital of the Catholic Medical College were examined. Both kidneys of the patients were removed in all cases. The genetic types of serum haptoglobin were determined by the Smithies starch gel electrophoresis and it was found that the genetic types of serum haptoglobin was not changed after kidney transplantation. Hence, it was certainly concluded that kidney does not participate in the synthesis of serum haptoglobin.

CPTED(환경설계를 통한 범죄예방)이론과 Premises Liability(장소 소유ㆍ관리자의 법적 책임)에 대한 고찰

1980년대 이후 미국에서는, 범죄가 빈번히 발생하는 공동주택의 세입자가 건물주를 상대로, 또는 대형 쇼핑몰에서 범죄피해를 당한 소비자가 쇼핑몰 운영사를 상대로 ‘성실하게 필요한 범죄예방조치를 취하지 않은 책임’을 물어 손해배상을 청구하는 소송이 급증하고 있는데, 그 이유는 첫째, 피해자학의 대두와 더불어 확산되고 있는 ‘피해자 권리 찾기 운동(the victims rights movement)이 ’피해의 회복(restitution)'을 주된 이슈로 삼고 있다는 것이고, 둘째는, 법원의 경향이 점차 배심원들로 하여금 ‘건물이 설계되고 유지되는 방식과 범죄행동간의 관계’에 대한 CPTED 이론들에 대해 ‘전문가 증인들(expert witnesses)’로부터 설명을 들을 수 있도록 허용하고 있다는 데에서 찾을 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 관련판례와 이론에 대한 검토를 통해 우리나라에서는 아직 본격적인 연구가 이루어지지 않은 CPTED와 Premises Liability에 대한 인식적 기초를 제공하고자 한다. Since 1980s, tort cases involving disputes over liability of premises owners or managers to the criminal damages and loses of their tenants or customers are sharply increasing in the United States. Such a trend in the courts is viewed to be connected to the increasing use and adoption of CPTED theories and tactics in the field of building design and maintenance. The CPTED related theories and relevant U.S. cases are analysed in order to seek legal or administrative references for Korea where CPTED and premises liability concept are still new.
하이브리드 로드를 갖는 충돌공기제트의 열전달특성에 관한 연구

The heat transfer characteristics for air jet vertically impinging on a flat plate which had a set of hybrid rod were investigated experimentally. The rod had a cross section made with a half of circular cross section and that of rectangular and was installed in front of the plate. The heating surface was given constant heat flux value of 1020 W/$m^2^{\circ]C$ and the problem parameters investigated were jet Reynolds number, nozzle-to-plate spacing and the rod size. The local and local average Nusselt number characteristics were found to be dependent on the rod size because the flow was disturbed by installing the rod. Higher convective heat transfer rate occurred in the whole plate as well as in the stagnation region.
