      • 병원 응급실에 내원한 급성중독 환자의 실태

        To investigate the status of the acute poisoning, the medical records were reviewed for 290 acute poisoning cases, who had been admitted to the Yeungnam University Hospital via emergency room between January and December, 1986. Among the total 290 cases, 109 (37.6%) were male and 181 (62.4%) were female. The most frequent age group was 20-29 years of age in the both sexes. Out of 6 causative substances, CO gas was the most frequent cause of poisoning (42.4%), followed by sedatives and hypnotic (18.3%), pesticides and rodenticides (17.8%), others (16.9%), and unknown (6.6%). The occurrence of acute poisoning was the highest in winter (33.9%) and the, lowest in summer (14.7%). According to intent of poisoning, the suicidal poisoning (57%) was higher than the accidental poisoning (43%). Among CO poisoning cases, 96.7% were poisoned accidentally, but 92.5% in sedatives and hypnotic, and 86.5% in pesticides and rodenticides were poisoned by suicidal pur-pose. The case fatality rate of the accidental acute poisoning was 1.8%, and the suicidal 8.0%. The mean case fatality rate of acute poisoning was 4.5%. Based on these findings, a nationwide survey should be carried out for more reliable data on acute poisoning.

        Effect of reduced graphene oxide and MnFe2O4 nanoparticles on carbonyl iron for magnetorheological fluids

        This study introduces magnetic MnFe2O4 nanoparticles and graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets to enhancemagnetorheological (MR) properties and dispersion stability of the carbonyl iron (CI)-based MRfluid. Theprepared CI/MnFe2O4/GO was transformed into CI/MnFe2O4/rGO through an annealing process and wasused as an additive of the MRfluid. The shape, crystallinity, and magnetic properties of the compositewere analyzed via SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, and vibrating sample magnetometer. In addition, rotationalrheometer and Turbiscan were used to examine the MR properties and dispersion stability of the MRfluid, respectively. The CI/MnFe2O4/rGO-based MRfluid exhibited higher shear stress, shear viscosity, andstorage modulus than the CI-based MRfluid. The dispersion stability was enhanced due to GO with itslow density and a large specific surface area, and the sedimentation ratio was improved approximately by17% after 24 h owing to the reduced difference in the density between the magnetic particles and oilmedium.

        한국의 복합표본조사 설계와 실제 적용 : 2010-2012 유해물질안전관리 통합노출평가기반연구를 기반으로

        The most rational method on the sides of effectiveness and preciseness is sample survey when one tries to explore a specific group’s characteristics. Methods of sample design are very diverse, and things to consider in analysis are different depending on the methods to be applied. Nevertheless, various studies have overlooked this point. This study suggests the analysis based on it by analyzing actual data. This study constituted a sample consisting of adult Korean subjects by performing a complex sample survey for the sake of a foundational study on the integrated exposure evaluation for safe management of toxic substances. 2,118 adults were sampled via numerous steps after minimal sample numbers were allocated to each area, gender, age, and against the extracted sample data, weights were considered for securing their representativeness for their population. As a result of the analysis with or without the application of the weight, it turned out that there were differences in many results. From this, we can tell that selection of the correct model is essential in order to get credible precise regression coefficients and standard deviations in the analysis of data from a complex sample survey. 집단의 특성을 알고자 할 때 효율성과 정확도 측면에서 가장 합리적인 방법은 표본조사라 할 수 있으며 이는 설계 방법에 따라 분석시 고려해야 하는 사항들도 달라진다. 그럼에도 불구하고 다양한 연구에서 이를 간과하는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 표본의 설계와 더불어 설계를 고려하여 자료를 분석하여 봄으로써 설계에 따른 올바른 분석의 중요성을 시사한다. 먼저 유해물질안전관리 통합노출평가기반연구를 위해 복합표본조사를 실시하여 대한민국 성인 대상자에 대한 표본을 구성하였다. 이 때 지역, 성, 연령별 최소 표본수를 할당한 후 여러 단계를 걸쳐 최종으로 성인 2,118명을 표집하였으며 추출된 표본자료는 모집단에 대한 대표성의 확보를 위해 가중치를 고려하였다. 추출된 대상자에게 건강영향 설문 조사를 수행하였으며 식품 섭취량 조사, 신체계측조사 및 혈청 검사 등을 시행하였다. 수집된 자료를 이용하여 총계, 비율 추정량과, 평균, 회귀계수 추정치의 가중치 및 집락(cluster)과 층(strata)의 적용여부에 따라 분석을 한 결과, 이의 적용 여부에 따라 빈도 및 기초통계량 분석, 회귀계수 추정 결과에 차이가 있었으며 이를 통해 복합표본조사 자료의 분석시, 신뢰할 수 있는 정확한 회귀계수 및 표준오차를 얻기 위해서는 올바른 모형 선택이 필수 불가결이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 모형의 선택은 해당 연구자의 몫으로 최종 분석 단계 이전에 다양한 모델 적용 후 이에 대한 고민을 통해 가장 타당한 모형을 선택하는 것이 필요하다는 결론을 얻었다.

      • Analysis of Physical and Sensory Properties according to Sugar Types in Yugwa

        Yugwa is a traditional food unique to Korea, and the manufacturing of yugwa is largely divided into two processes: making the bandaegi and coating the bandaegi with sugar. To control the yugwa quality and strengthen the market competitiveness, this study analyzed changes in physical properties during storage according to the type of sugar used in yugwa manufacturing and the temperature that the sugar is applied. Consumer preference was evaluated for 30 adult men and women using a 9-point scale for overall preference, uniformity of garnish, color brightness, sweetness, unpleasant smell, and texture. Physical property analysis measured physical changes during storage, based on the type of sugar used to coat the yugwa and the storage temperatures (30°C and 4°C) over 5 wk. In the manufacture of starch syrup, it was easier to maintain the quality according to the storage period and to use starch syrup alone than starch syrup alone. In addition, the application of sugar at 100°C helps to maintain quality even though the storage period is increased.

        서비스 로봇을 위한 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기반 위치 인식 시스템

        서비스 로봇의 사회 적 관심으로 인하여 서비스 로봇의 개발에 있어 많은 연구가 실시되고 있으나, 단일 플랫폼의 한계에 봉착해 있다. 이 한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 유비쿼터스 네트워크와 연계한 유비쿼터스 기반 서비스로 봇이 대안으로 자리 잡고 있다. 이를 위하여 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크를 통하여 주변 환경에 대한 상황인식 및 위치 인식과 같은 기능을 위하여 RFID 및 초음파 센서를 이용한 시스템이 등장하여 실제 로봇에 적용되어 좋은 결과를 낳고 있다. 하지만 RFID의 경우 수동형 센서를 이용할 경우 거리에 따른 인식률의 제한이 따르며 초음파 센서의 경우 이를 구동하기 위하여 높은 전압을 요구하므로 저 전력 기반의 센서 네트워크에 응용하기에는 많은 한계가 따른다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 센서 네트워크 기반 위치인식을 위하여 센서 네트워크 모듈을 구현하고 이를 기반으로 RSSI 위치인식 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 이러한 RSSI 위치인식 시스템의 경우 각 센서 노드에서 들어오는 신호의 RSSI만을 측정하고 이에 따른 거리로 환산하여 위치를 산출함으로 인하여 저 전력의 센서 네트워크를 그대로 활용할 수 있으며, Ad-Hoc 네트워크 설계시 거리에 따른 제한도 극복할 수 있을 것이다. With social interest, there hie been a lot of research on the Service Robot but now we are faced with the limitation of single platform. The alternative plan is the Ubiquitous-based Service Robot connected with a Ubiquitous network to overcome this limitation. Systems using RFID(Radio frequency Identification) and supersonic waves appeared for functions such as recognition of surroundings through Ubiquitous Sensor Networks. This was applied to the real robot and we have got good results. However, this has several limitations to applying to low power-based Sensor Network For example, if RFID uses a passive Sensor, the rate of recognition with the distance is limited. In case of supersonic waves, high power is required to drive them. Therefore, we intend to develop RSSI position recognition system on the basis of embodying a Sensor Network Module in this thesis. This RSSI position recognition system only measures RSSI of signals from each sensor nod. then converts them into distances and calculates the position. As a result, we can still use low power-based Sensor Network and overcome the limitation according to distance as planning Ad-Hoc Network.

        The result of studying the effect of the circuit training for the middle school students through the two methods, command mothod and task method, showed as following: 1. The task method was better than the command method in the circuit training. 2. The command method is better than the task method in the physical training which demands techniques. 3. In the task method, to induce the students to have interest in the training is most important. 4. In the task method, the training load could be given to the students according to the individual capacity, but the command over the trainees was uncontrolable. 5. The control over the trainees through the command method is accessible, but the over-load training curing the short term would be apt to be superficial and fruitless effort.

      • 고속 광통신망에서 스위칭 오버헤드를 고려한 동적 전송 예약 프로토콜

        Relatively slow tuning speed of optical device causes the unwanted delay in high speed single-hop multiwavelength networks. To lessen the overhead, we present a channel access protocol with dynamjic message scheduling. Th eframe structure of proposed protocol adopts hybrid multiaccess scheme in which WDMA is used as a basic multiaccess technique and TDMA is used to provide subchannels within a wavelength band. This architecture has two merits : the network extention is not limited by available number of wavelengths, and the transmission delay caused by optical device tuning time can to minimize the number of tunings. It schedules messages that require same wavelength channels sequencely, so the total transmission delay is reduced by decreasement of wavelength changes. The performance of proposed protocol is evaluated through numerical analysis based on probability and queueing theory. The numeric results show that the peformance of proposed protocol is better than that of previous one.
