      • 高山地帶의 草地改良에 適合한 牧草의 品種 選定에 관한 硏究

        This experiment was carried to determine the selection of pasture species for the pasture improvement from experimental field of Tae Kwalyong from 1984 to 1988. The experiment was arranged as a randomized block design and is concerned with the characteristics of growth, dry matter yield, and proximate analysis on the pasture species. The results obtained after three-year experiment are summarized as follows: 1. Productivity of Timothy, red top and reed canarygrass showed good response to the experimental field of Mt. Jung Dong. 2. Level of maturity from sowing to heading showed good response to the species of Tiller, Odenwa¨lder, Landsberger, Streaker and Venture. 3. Winter hardiness showed good response to the species of Climax, Kahu, Hokuo, Tiller, Odenwa¨lder, WWT94, Streaker, Listra, Palaton and Venture. 4. In the last harvest, Cover ratio showed good response to the species of Landsberger, Tiller, WWT94, Hokuo, Odenwa¨lder, Streaker and Listra. 5. Annual dry matter yield showed good response to the species of Hokuo, Odenwa¨lder, Tiller Rasaut, Kahu, Timfor, Streaker, Listra, Palaton and Venture. 6. Crude protein and crude fiber of Venture reed canarygrass were 26.12% and 26.13%, respectively. And quality of Venture reed canarygrass was better than that of Timothy.

        This field experiment was conducted to investigate the growth characteristic and yield of introduced Maize for silage at the experimental field of Suwon, Eyjongbu, and Chung nam, from April, 1988 to 1989. The results obtained are as follows: 1. In the Chung nam, Verieties of 3282, 3144W, EXP771 and 3233 were better than that of Suwon 19 on the disease resistance and dry matter yield. 3. In the Eyjongbu, verieties of 3252, EXP 771 and 3144W showed good response to the disease resistance and dry matter yield. 4. Based on the results of the three experiemental field, 3144W and EXP 771 varieties could be recommended as a source of good vericties for disease resistance and dry matter yield.

        어린 돼지에 대한 Sulfachloropyridazine + Trimethoprim 합제의 성장촉진 효과

        To evaluate the effects of a mixture of sulfachloropyridazine sodium (100 ppm) + trimethoprim (20 ppm) in promoting growth and improving feed efficiency of starting pigs, a total of 80 weaning three-way crossbred (Yorkshire × Landrace × Duroc) pigs weighing an average of approximately 10㎏ was used for a period of 50 days. Animals were divided into 8 pens of 10 pigs each. Each pen was assigned to one of 2 treatments with 4 replications (2 pens of males and 2 pens of females). Animals were fed a pig starter diet either with or without supplementation of sulfachloropyridazine sodium + trimethoprim (S + T). Pigs fed the diet containing S+T mixture gained significantly (P $lt; 0.01) more weight than nonmedicated control pigs. Medicated animals consumed numerically more feed than nonmedicated animals and feed efficiency was improved by feeding S+T mixture, although differences in feed intake and feed efficiency were not statistically significant.

      • 窒素質肥科의 基追肥 施用時期가 이타리안라이그라스의 生育 및 靑草收量과 養分組成에 미치는 影響

        本 硏究는 冬季休閑畓을 活用한 이타리안 라이그라스의 栽培에 알맞은 窒素質肥料의 基·追肥 施用適期를 알고자 遂行하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 窒素基肥施用時期가 늦어질수록 越 草長의 伸長短縮과 靑草收量을 感收시켰고 組蛋白質, 組脂肪, 組灰粉의 含量도 적어 飼料의 質을 低下시켰으며 또한 越冬期 枯死莖 被害와 越冬後의 靑草收量도 減小시켰다. 2. 窒素質肥料의 追肥施用適期 試驗에서도 追肥施用適期가 늦어질수록 生育量 및 追肥施用適期 減小와 節間을 伸長시켰으며 組蛋, 白質, 組脂肪 含量도 적었다. 3. 窒素質肥料의 基追肥 施用適期는 基肥는 播種當日, 追肥는 生育再生後 10日頃이었다. This experiment was carried out to study the effects of different application times on the nitrogen fertilizer, the fresh matter yield and feed efficiency of Italianryegrass under winter cropping on drained paddy field. Plant height, fresh matter yield and content of organic nutrient were decreased. According as the application times of top basal dressing on the nitrogen were late. In the experiment of the application times of top dressing on the nitrogen times of top wintering. Agronomic characters, fresh matter yield, crude protein, crude fat and crude were decreased. According as thd application times of top dressing on the nitrogen fertilizer were late. The optimum application time of nitrogen fertilizer was sowing date in basal dressing and was 10 days after regrowth in top dressing.

        타우린 첨가가 육계의 성장에 미치는 영향과 생리학적 기전

        The effects of dietary taurine on growth and its physiological mechanisms were investigated in male broiler chicks. One day-old chicks were allocated to one of four taurine supplemented diets: 0(control), 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 taunuine. Body weights of chicks fed the 0.5% diet were increased at 2, 4 and 6 weeks by 10, 9 and 6%, respectively, compared to those of the control (P$lt;0.05). Body weights of chicks fed the L0% diet increased at 2 and 4 wks by 14 and 8%, respectively (P$lt;0.05), but there were no differences at 6 wks compared to the control. There were no differences in body weights between the 1.5% diet and the control. Neither the 0.5% nor the 1.0% dietary taurine affected feed efficiency. However, the 1.5% taurine supplementation improved feed efficiency by 9.9% compared to the control (P$lt; 0.05). Furthermore, the I.0% supplementation lowered abdominal fat amount by 21.6% compared to the control (P$lt;0.05). The supplementations did not affect kidney and heart weights or shank lengths. The growth rates of chicks fed the taurine supplemented diet for 3 wks were higher in summer than in spring, indicating that taurine functioned as a heat-shock stress modulate. Liver weights of chicks fed the 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5% diets were increased at 3 weeks by 15.7%, 20.9% and 19.6%, respectively, relative to the control (P$lt;0.05). The total protein content of liver of chicks fed the 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5% diets were increased at 3 wks by 13.3%, 20.0% and 26.7%, respectively, compared to the control (P$lt;0.05). However, taurine supplementation did not affect protein and DNA contents per gram of liver tissue or liver protein to DNA ratio. The 0.5% and 1.0% dietary taurine increased concentration of triglyceride in serum at 3 wks by 17.9% and 105%, respectively, compared to the control (P$lt;0.05). The dietary 1.5% taurine increased concentrations of cholesterol and HDL(high density lipoprotein) in serum at 3 wks by 21.9 and 12.2%, respectively, compared to the control (P$lt;0.05). However, triglyceride concentration in liver tissues of chicks fed the 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5% were decreased at 3 wks by 16.7, 29.1 and 25%, respectively, relative to the control (P$lt;0.05). The 1.0 and 1.5% dietary taurine increased liver cholesterol content by 23.5 and 14.7%, respectively, relative to the control (P$lt;0.05). The 1.5% dietary leonine increased liver HDL content by 14.7% compared to the control (P$lt;0.05). The results indicated that taurine supplementation increased body weights in chicks to the greatest extend in early life. It was accompanied by modulation of heat stress and improvements in liver function, fat absorption and fat utilization.

      • 外因性 GH의 投與를 통한 韓牛의 成長 및 乳腺의 發達

        위인성 성장호르몬(rGH)을 14일 간격으로 두당 250mg씩 한우 암송아지(8-12개월령. 160-240kg)에 대한 투여한 후 내인성 성장호르몬, estrogen IGF-I, 체중, 유두용적의 변화 및 IGFBP_3에 대한 processing enzyme의 활성정도를 파악하고져 28일 간격으로 1994년 12월부터 다음해 2월까지 본 연구를 실시하였다. GH 혈청농도는 처리구가 무처리구에 비해 rGH는 투여후 시간이 경과함에 따라 현저히 증가 하였고(p<.01). estrogen과 IGF-I도 처리 후 8주째(P<.05)에 증가를 보였다. 또한 체중(P<.01)과 유두용적(P<.05)도 투여 8주째에 증가를 보였다. 외인성 성장호르몬(rGH)의 投與前에 processing enzyme의 활성이 낮았으나, 250mg의 rGH 투여 후에는 processing enzyme의 활성이 실험기간 내내 현저히 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과 외인성 성장호르몬은 한우암송아지의 내인성 호르몬 변화를 통하여 성장 및 유선발육을 증진 시킬수 있다는 것을 제시하여 주었다. This experiment was carried out with 12 Korean native heifers(8-12 mth old : body weight, 160-240kg) raised at a farm of Chang-Soo Livestock Cooperatives to evaluate the effects of rGH(recombinant growth hormone) on serum concentrations of growth hormone, estrogen, and IGF-I. weight gain teat volume gain and processing enzyme activity of IGF-I binding protein Ⅲ at 28 day intervals. Animals used were injected with 250mg rGH at 14 day intervals from December. 1994 to February, 1995. The significant difference was found in the group of treatment on the 4th week in the endogenous GH(p<.01) and 8th week in estrogen and IGF-I(p<.05) after injection of rGH in Korean native heifers. There were significant differences between control and treatment group in weight and teat volume on 8th week after treatment(P<.05). Processing enzyme activity before injection of rGH was low. However heifers injected with 250mg of rGH showed that processing enzyme activity of IGF binding protein was highly increased throughout the experiment. Present results suggest that injection of exogenous rGH to heifers can increase the growth performance and mammary gland development of Korean native heifers by the endogenous hormonal changes.

      • 生殖生長期 冷水溫이 벼의 SOURCE와 SINK 關聯形質 및 養分吸收에 미치는 硏究 : 冷水灌漑核이 벽의 SINK 關聯形質에 미치는 影響 Influence of Growth Characters Related to Sink of Rice by Cool Water Irrigation Times

        本 硏究는 魃對策用으로 施設한 地下管井의 冷水被害를 輕減시키고자 벼의 生殖生長期에 冷水灌漑時刻을 晝夜間으로 나누어 實驗을 遂行하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 冷水灌漑는 稈長, 穗長, 抽出度의 伸長을 抑制시켰고 夜間보다는 晝間의 冷水灌漑時에 伸長短縮 程度가 컸다. 2. 晝間 冷水灌漑는 夜間 冷水灌漑보다 枝梗別 ??花着生數의 減少 및 不稔率의 增大, 登熟低下, 千粒重의 減少等 Sink量의 向上에 被害를 惹起시켰다. 3. 10a當 收量도 晝間灌漑가 夜間 冷水灌漑보다 幼穗形成期나 減數分烈期 모두 減收되었다. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of cold damages on transplanted rice from underground water that installed for drought. Transplanted rices at reproductive growth stage were irrigated in cold water from underground at day and night respectively. The irrigation of cold water was reduced in culm length, panicle length and degree of panicle exsertion. The effect of cold water on these parts in rice was greater at the irrigation of day than at night. Cold damage from day time irrigation the number of spikelets per first and second rachis branches, sterility ratio, ripening ratio, and 1000 grain weight was greater than from night time irrigation. The yield of hulled rice showed higher at the irrigation of night compared with that of day.

      • 脫皮大豆粕과 全脂大豆粕의 돼지에 對한 飼料價置

        A 105-day feeding trial with 3-way crossbred piglets were conducted to inversigate the feedin values of dehulled soybean meal and dry extruded full-fat soybean in pigs. A total of 45-day-old 72piglets were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments ; the Control treatment, two dehulled soybean meal treatments in which dehulled soybean treatment in which full-fat soybean replaced tallow and pert of soybean meal in Control. There were 3 replicates per treatment and 6 piglets (3 female and 3 castrated male) per replicate(pen). Four all-mash experimental diets were formulated to have similar levels of energy and protein. Economic evaluations were conducted upon the completion of the feeding trial. When dehulled soybean meal replaced soybean meal a part or all of fish meal in Control, the growth performance of pigs appeared to improve but not enough to show a significant degree. However, the feed cost per ㎏ gain was lowered greatly by replacing soybean and fish meal with dehulled soybean meal. When full-fat soybean replaced soybean mel and tallow in Control, pigs appeared to grow faster and consume more feed during starting and growing period, without any change in feed efficiency. During the finishing period, however, no difference in growth performance was found by the replacement. Throughout the overall feeding period, the feed cost per ㎏ gain in pigs fed full-fat soybean was similar to that of Control. Notably, the feed cost per ㎏ gain during starting and growing period increased by the use of full-fat soybean. During the finishing period, however, the trend was reversed. In conclusion, the growth performance of pigs was affected favorbly by the use of defulled soybean meal replacing regulat soybean meal and fish meal. Moreover, the use of dehulled soybean meal turned out to be economically advantageous. The growth performance of pigs was not affected adversely by the use of full-fat soybean in replacement for soybean meal and tallow. Economically, more favorable results may be expected if the usage of full-fat soybean be limited to the finishing period.

      • 飼料 蛋白質의 反芻胃內 分解程度의 相互比較

        In order to determine if classification or mutual comparison of feeds in respect of their susceptibility to degration of protein in the rumen can be made on the basis of the measurement of its degradability after incubation for 1, 3, 5, 8, 16 and 24 hours in the rumen by a nylon bag technque, disappearance of dry matter and crude protein from the bags were measured at the incubation times with 23 feeds using a fistulated cow given 2㎏ concentrate and 5㎏ rice straw per day. A method is proposed to estimate the effective protein degradation (EPD) as a function of the outflow rate and the defadation rate. The rates of disappearance of dry matter of feeds tested in this study from the rumen were apparently lower than those of proteins, while there was a high positive correlation between dry matter disappearance and protein degradability, in rupin, raw soybeans and extruded soybeans wear as high as 0.9913, 0.9986 and 0.9946, respectively. The order of the extend of degradation of protein among feeds varied considerably between incubation times. The disappearance rate of from incubation times was especially high in wheat bran, lupin, raw soybeans, corn gluten feed, rapeseed meal and meat bone meal, and it was revealed that the protein degradability of corn gluten meal, sorghum, cottenseed meal, fish meal and feather meal were remarkabily lower than the others. The ruminal crude protein degradabilities were reduced by extrution treatment of raw soybeans, and the protein degradabilities of extruded soybeans and untreated soybeans, and the protein degradabilities of extruded soybeans and untreated soybeans after 8 hours incubation were 37% and 68%, respectively. The ruminal disappearance of soybean meal crude protein estimated by nylon bag technique were decreased significantly with 0.2% formaldeyde treatement per air dry matter, and the average protein degradabilities of 0.2% formaldehyde treated soybean meal and untreated soybean meal after total incubation times were 8.7% and 42.2% respectively.
