This paper presents an active cannula robot system and its development for microsurgery. The active cannula robot is composed of concentric precurved tubes in telescoped arrangement and controlled by translation and rotation of each tube. For practical implementation to the various microsurgery operations, a peculiar but undesirable phenomenon, bifurcation is investigated and tried to be managed to avoid the problem. For performance, the overall control system is improved on the point of processing speed and pose accuracy. The pose on the tip is measured by telecentric scope and its workspace is examined for reliable operation.
눈 위 발자국 추적을 통한 담비의 겨울철 생태특성 파악

The winter ecology of individual yellow-throated martens(Martes flavigula) intemperate region of Korea were studied through snow-tracking. The study was performed across 3 winter seasons, from January 2011 to February 2013. Total distance of 49.8km was snow tracked (comprising 13 snow-tracking routes) to determine winter foraging habits, general behavior and movement paths of solitary and small groups (1-6 individuals; mean = 2.9 ± 1.6) of yellow-throated martens. The martens in the current study were omnivorous, with their winter diet including 9 animal and 5 plant species. Yellow-throated martens searched for food near and under the fallen logs and branches, root plates of fallen trees, around the roots of growing trees, and in small holes in the ground. They also climbed trees to search inside the tree holes and vacant bird nests. Foraging activity was estimated to occur at a frequency of 1.20 times/km, while territory marking occurred 1.42 times/km on average. Of the 60 documented foraging activities we observed, 17 were successful (28.3%). Moving activity and territory marking mainly occurred along ridges, whereas foraging activity was recorded in valleys, slopes, and forest edges. To protect the habitat of this species, the entire forest should be preserved, including the valleys, slopes, and even forest edges as well as main ridges.

This work describes a study on the Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) based defense decision making. Future battle-space is transformed into a System of Systems (SoS) concept which is accomplished missions and their functions through network based battle management systems under forming their grids of various sensors and shooters in a single theater. The acquisition process is, therefore, changing over from single system requirements to capabilities based acquisition of SoS. AoA help to justify the need for starting, stopping, or continuing an acquisition program. AoA identify potentially viable solutions and provide comparative cost, effectiveness, and risk assessments of each solution to a baseline. The decision making must consider not only cost-effectiveness, risk, and military worth, but also domestic policy, foreign policy, technological maturity of the solution, the environment, the budget, treaties, and a host of additional factors. In this point of view, this paper analyzes AoA template which are critical elements of the defense decision making. From results of this analysis of AoA template for Korean acquisition environment are presented.

No matter in all walks of life, there are certain rules and laws. The Marine Traffic Law includes International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea adopted which were adopted for the purpose of preventing vessel collisions at sea in 1972, the domestic Maritime Safety Act, and provisions of port entry and departure of vessels, etc. Therefore , captains , officers , and pilots are obliged to under stand and follow navigation rules . COLREG and Maritime Safety Act are divided navigation rule into three sections . Particularly , according to Article 18 of COLREG(Article 76 of Maritime Safety Act), as one of the dominant principles of navigation rules , there is the rule that a vessel with excellent navigation performance should avoid a vessel with less performance, which is the right of way for all navigating vessels. The right-of-way of vessels can be divided into the one according to the ability to manoeuvre order of vessels, into the one according to the obligation of traffic obstruction exclusion ,and into the one in particular waters and the water areas of trade ports. Based on COLREG, starting this thesis with this entry point as the theme.

회전체는 제조업에 없어서 안되는 부품 중 하나이다. 만약 회전체에 고장이 발생한다면 제조업의 생산 차질이 발생하고 이는 막대한 손실로 연결될 수 있다. 회전체의 고장을 소프트웨어를 통해 초기에 진단한다면 손실을 최소화하고 생산 효율을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 회전체의 고장 진단을 위해 2단계 LSTM 모델을 사용하여 고장 진단 시스템을 구현하였으며 일반적으로 고장임을 진단하기 어려운 160도와 170도의 각도 편심 고장 상황을 49% ~ 100%의 정확도로 진단하였다. 추후 DB와 실시간 연동을 통해 현장을 일일이 방문할 필요없이 회전체의 상태를 모니터링 할 수 있는 스마트 팩토리의 고장 진단 시스템으로 확장하고자 한다. The rotating device is one of the indispensable parts in the manufacturing industry. If a malfunction occurs in a rotating device, production is disrupted in the manufacturing process, which can lead to huge losses. If the failure of the rotating device is diagnosed at an early stage through software, losses can be minimized and production efficiency can be increased. In this paper, an anomaly detection system was implemented using the Two-level LSTM deep learning model for diagnosing the fault of rotating devices, and the 160 degree and 170 degree angular eccentric faults were diagnosed with 49% to 100% accuracy, which degrees are not easy to be detected as anomaly. In the future, through real-time linkage with the DB, we plan to expand it to a smart factory anomaly detection system that can monitor the state of the rotating device without the need to visit the site one by one.
