        The aim of this study is to show developmental characteristics of vocabulary of Korean children. In this study, words were classified according to the origin of words: pure Korean, sino-Korean and foreign words. The results of the present study are as follows: In common nouns, the rate of sino-Korean was 33.6% in 3 year-old children but 50.7% in 8 year-old children. Adverb and prenouns showed the similar rate. The rate of words with foreign origin was 10 ~ 11 % in all age groups.

        유아의 의도적 통제와 작업기억이 정서조절에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between preschooler`s sex, effortful control, working memory, and emotion regulation. The moderating effect of sex in the influences of effortful control and working memory on emotion regulation was also investigated. Eighty-eight children from the ages of 3 to 5 years participated in this study. A working memory task of the Korean Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children IV(K-WISC-IV; Kwak, Oh, & Kim, 2011) was administered to the children. Their parents completed a very short form of the Children`s Behavior Questionnaire(Putnam & Rothbart, 2006) and Emotion Regulation Checklist(Shields & Cicchetti, 1997). The results indicated that effortful control significantly predicted emotion regulation. Additionally the moderating effect of sex on the relationship between working memory and emotion regulation was significant. Specifically, the influence of working memory on emotion regulation was significant only in boys, but not in girls. This result suggested that effortful control has an effect on emotion regulation in a stable manner whereas working memory has different effects on the influence of emotion regulation according to sex.

        심도 청각장애 아동의 조음 특성

        This study measured formant bandwidths of profound hearing impaired children and examined the characteristics of their articulation. For this study, 10 cochlear implanted children(CI), 10 hearing aid children(HA) and 10 normal hearing children(NH) were asked to read 7 Korean vowels(/?, ?, o, u, ?, i, ?/). The subjects" readings were recorded by NasalView and analyzed by Praat. The analysis of the formant bandwidths explains the degree of vocal fold opening and the characteristics of radiation. Through the analysis of formant bandwidth, we can see that the hearing-impaired maintain vocal fold tension when they speak high vowels and characteristics of radiation. Narrower B1 means better maintain vocal fold tension, wider B2 means more front and wider B3 means the rounder lips. CI"s B1 was widest and NH"s was narrowest. And females" B1 was wider than males". Among vowels, B1 of /a/ was widest, and B1 of /i/ was narrowest. In the case of B2, HA and NH"s B2 was wider than CI"s. Females" B2 was wider than males". And B2 of /i/ was widest, and B2 of /?/ was narrowest. In the case of B3, NH"s was widest, and CI"s was narrowest. Males" was wider than females". Among vowels, B3 of /o/ was widest, and B3 of /?/ was narrowest. As a result, first, through the analysis of B1, we can find that NH and males could better maintain vocal fold tension than the hearing-impaired or females, and all children articulate /i/ with vocal fold tension than other vowels. Second, through the analysis of B2, NH and HA articulate vowels with the weaker rounded than CI does. And females articulate vowels with the weaker rounded than males do. Third, through the analysis of B3, NH articulate vowels with the rounder than HA or CI do, and males articulate vowels with the rounder than females do. Through the results, we can expect that the analysis of formant bandwidth will be applied to the therapy of articulation for the hearing-impaired with hearing aids or cochlear implant.

        예비 초등교사의 한국수학사 활용에 대한 인식

        본 연구는 예비 교사교육에서 한국수학사의 교육적 적용을 탐색하는 일련의 연구로서, 그 목적은 예비 초등교사의 한국수학사 활용에 대한 인식을 조사하는 것과 조선산학 프로그램이 한국수학사 활용에 대한 교사인식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 조선산학 프로그램에 참여한 학생 88명을 포함한 총 174명의 예비교사들을 대상으로 한국수학사 활용의 실태, 효과, 개선방안과 관련된 설문을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 예비교사들은 한국수학사의 활용을 수학사의 활용보다 더 중요하게 인식하는 것으로 나타났으며, 수학교육에 한국수학사 도입이 필요하다는 의견이 많았다. 또한 예비교사들은 문화적 측면의 활용효과와 활용방식을 가장 높게 평가하였으며, 정의적 측면과 인지적 측면은 후순위로 조사되었다. 한편 교사교육 참여집단과 비참여집단의 인식 차이를 분석한 결과, 두 집단 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타난 문항은 전체 54개 문항 중 25개 문항으로 나타났다. 무엇보다도 교사교육 참여경험이 인지적 측면의 활용효과와 활용방식에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 확인하였다. 이는 교사교육이 한국수학사 활용에 대한 교사들의 인식과 한국수학사를 활용한 수학수업의 활성화에 주요 변수임을 의미한다. This study analyzed the perception of prospective elementary school teachers in relation to using the history of Korean mathematics. The results of this study showed that the pre-service teachers realized using the history of Korean mathematics more importantly than the history of mathematics. They thought that the contents of the history of Korean mathematics should be increased in mathematics education and pre-service teacher education. The participation experience in teacher education about the history of Korean mathematics had a positive effect on the perception of pre-service teachers. Finally, this paper asserted that teacher education is the key to the teacher perception on and using of the history of Korean mathematics.

        한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 미국의 초등교과서에 제시된 곱하는 수가 두 자리 수인 자연수 곱셈 지도 내용의 비교 분석

        본 연구에서는 한국과 일본, 싱가포르, 미국의 초등학교 수학 교과서에서 곱하는 수가 두 자리 수인 자연수 곱셈 계산을 어떻게 제시하는지를 비교ㆍ분석하여 곱셈 지도 관련 교육적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 교과서 분석 결과, 우리나라 교과서는 10과 10의 거듭제곱의 곱을 별도로 지도하지 않는 반면, 일본, 싱가포르, 미국 교과서는 관련 내용을 명시하여 제시하고 있음을 확인하였다. ‘×(몇십)’의 지도에서는 일본과 미국 교과서가 자릿값에 따라 나누어 곱한 부분곱의 계산과정에서 적용되는 곱셈의 결합법칙 지도를 형식적으로 접근하고 있었다. 세로셈 계산 도식은 대체적으로 분배법칙에 따른 부분곱 계산을 자리를 맞추어 표기하는 표준적인 방식을 따르고 있었지만, 지도 모델과 분배법칙의 지도 방법, 끝 자리 ‘0’의 표기 등에서 차이가 확인되었다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 곱셈 지도와 관련한 시사점을 제안하였다. In this study, we investigated how multiplication by 2-digit numbers had been taught in elementary mathematics textbooks of Korea, Japan, Singapore, and USA. As a result of analysis, we found as follows. Korean textbooks do not teach the multiplication by 10 and the multiplication by power of 10, but Japanese, Singapore, and US textbooks explicitly teach related content. In the ‘×tens’ teaching, Japanese and American textbooks teach formally the law of association of multiplication applied in the process of calculating the partial product of multiplication. The standard multiplication algorithm generally followed a standard method of recording partial product result according to the law of distribution, but the differences were confirmed in the multiplication model, the teaching method of the law of distribution, and the notation of the last digit '0'. Based upon these results, we suggested some proposals for improving the multiplication teaching.

        음성치료가 청각장애 아동의 과대비성에 미치는 효과

        배경 및 목적: 이 연구는 인공와우이식(cochlear implant: CI, 이하 CI) 아동의 비성도(nasalance)를 평가하고 과대비성을 보이는 CI 아동에게 음성치료를 실시하여 비성도의 개선효과를 보는 것이 목적이다. 방법: 연구대상은 대전, 충청권에 사는 5세 이후에 인공와우 이식을 받은 청각장애(CI) 아동 10명과 정상청력(normal hearing: NH, 이하 NH) 아동 10명으로,각 아동에 대해 Dr. Speech의 NasalView (Tiger Electronics Inc. Seattle, USA)로 /아,어, 오, 우, 으, 애, 이/의 모음 별 비성도를 측정하였다. 그리고 CI 아동에 대해 복식호흡,연구개거상훈련과 함께 촉지각적 방법, 초점을 비강에서 구강으로 옮기기 등을 내용으로 한음성치료를 주 2회 8주간 실시하였다. 음성치료 후 CI 아동의 음성치료 전, 음성치료 4주 후,8주 후에 비성도에 어떤 변화가 있는지 일요인 분산분석을 이용하여 살펴보았으며 Scheffé로사후분석을 하였다. 결과: 첫째, CI 아동의 경우 /아, 어, 오, 우, 으, 애, 이/ 모든 모음의 비성도가 NH 아동의 비성도와 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 났으며 CI 아동과 NH 아동 모두 /이/> /애/ > /으/로 고모음의 비성도가 높은 것으로 나타났다(p < .05). 둘째, 음성치료 4주 후모든 모음의 비성도 평균이 35 % 미만으로 NH 아동의 평균 비성도 수준으로 낮아졌으며 훈련 전과 훈련 4주 후, 훈련 8주 후의 비성도가 유의미한 차이를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다.논의 및 결론: 인공와우 이식 후 청각적 피드백이 향상되었음에도 불구하고 인공와우 이식연령이 늦었기 때문에 이식 후 2년 이상 지났어도 CI 아동의 비성도는 NH 아동의 비성도와통계적으로 유의미하게 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러므로 인공와우 이식 전 이미 음성에 변화가 생긴 아동의 경우, 이식 후 과대비성과 같은 공명에 대한 음성치료가 요구되며8주 간의 음성치료 결과, 모음에 대한 과대비성은 분절음의 조음이나 음도에 관한 문제보다 짧은 시간 내에 개선될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다 children with cochlear implant (CI) comparing that of children with normal hearing and to verify the effects of voice therapy on improving the hypernasality observed in CI children . Methods: The nasalance scores of 7 Korean vowels (/a, ʌ, o, u, ɯ, i, ɛ/) pronounced by 10children with CI (G1) and 10 children with NH (G2) matching sex and chronological age were measured by Dr. Speech. Voice therapy was performed 2 times a week and 40 minutes a session during 8 weeks. Their nasalance scores were measured 3 times (before and after 4 and 8 weeks of the training). Results: Results of nasalance value of children with CI were as follows: means of nasalance scores of G1 (CI) were significantly higher than those of G2 (NH) in all 7 vowels (p < .05). Means of high vowels were significantly higher than those of low vowels in both groups (p < .05). The result of voice therapy showed that there were significant differences in nasalance scores in all 7 vowels (p < .05). Discussion & Conclusion: Participants in thisstudy were implanted over the age 5 and have used the device more than 2 years. Although they have improved auditory feedback through CI, their voice were evaluated as being hypernasal. After voice therapy, nasalance scores were decreased to the range of children with normal hearing.

        컴퓨터 기반 음소인식 훈련을 통한 읽기장애 치료 프로그램 개발

        This study aims to improve phoneme recognition rate and reading fluency by developing and applying a computer-based phoneme recognition program for children with Dyslexia. The newly developed program for Dyslexia treatment includes a sweep-tone listening training program which having stimuli of varied frequency and duration, and a speech listening training program providing meaningless syllables, words, and sentences. Therefore, it can be said that this could be a program that has reflected all the advantages of the existing computer-based treatment programs and the programs that train reading through pictures or reading materials. In order to verify the effectiveness, this newly developed program was applied to 10 children with Dyslexia who are in the first to third grades of elementary school, twice a week for 6 months, and 40 minutes in each session. We compared the difference between before and after the application of this program by conducting tests of word reading fluency, decoding (meaning words, meaningless words), phoneme recognition (deletion, compounding), and quick naming (numbers, letters) all of which are part of Korean reading test battery. Word reading fluency and decoding (meaning words, meaningless words), phoneme recognition (compounding) scores in all 10 patients, phoneme recognition (deletion) and quick naming (numbers, letters) scores in 8 out of 10 patients were improved before and after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant.

        청각장애 청소년과 성인을 위한 컴퓨터 기반 듣기평가 프로그램의 필요성 및 평가내용

        15 profound hearing-impaired teenagers and adults were evaluated the auditory responses to speech using both real and recorded speech sound. Even though they showed 100% correct responses on closed-set words and sentences of EARS-K Battery, and 80~100% correct responses on open set words and sentences of EARS-K, they just got scored 40~70% with new evaluation Battery that was newly developed in this study. The new Battery contains nonsense words that acoustic characteristics of Korean phonemes are reflected, words that Korean phonological rules were applied, sentences having same-place phonemes are contained, and unfamiliar simple and complex sentences and paragraphs with various lengths. The reason why we include these words, sentences and paragraphs in the new Battery is that most hearing-impaired people are extremely hard to listen to those materials. For the better understanding and communication skills in real life, they have to be exposed to those materials with utmost care. In the results of this study, the subjects showed 75% correct responses on nonsense syllables and words, and more than 95% correct responses on pattern perception with real speech. But less than 65% correct responses on nonsense syllables and words with recorded speech, and approximately 50% correct response on final and minimal 1 syllable words showing minimal pair opposition were observed. When subjects heard ordinary complex sentences, telephone ARS sentences, and paragraphs with various lengths via recorded speech, they obtained just 43~52% correct responses. It looks like difficult task for the hearing-impaired to listen sentences comprised of same- place phonemes. In these tasks, subjects obtained just 54% correct responses with real speech, and 37% correct responses via recorded speech. And subjects seemed to feel difficulty when listened to /ㄱ, ㄲ, ㅋ/ sentence and /ㅅ, ㅆ/ sentence. This study proposes and introduces newly developed auditory evaluation program which evaluates the listening ability of the hearing-impaired properly in real life situation. According to the results of current study, auditory evaluation program has to contain the tasks of listening acoustic characteristics of Korean phonemes, Korean phonological rules, phonemes of same place of articulation, and unfamiliar simple and complex sentences and paragraphs with various lengths.
