        Methyl methacrylate-butyl methacrylate copolymer (MMBM)-povidone (PVP) films were investigated as a potential topical drug delivery system for the controlled release of econazole nitrate as a model drug. The effect of changes in film composition, drug concentration, film thickness, pH and temperature of release medium on the in vitro release of econazole nitrate were studied. The release rate constant was found to be increased with increasing povidone content in dry films. Drug release followed zero-order kinetics in the initial stage and then release rate increased gradually with time, espicially in the films having larger proportions of PVP. The release rate was found to be dependent on drug content, film thickness, the pH and temperature of release medium. Antimicrobial test showed that microbial growth was inhibited markedly with increasing proportions of PVP in films. Also drug content and film thickness affected the antimicrobial activity.

      • 성장기혈압과 Sodium, Potassium 섭취 및 체질량지수와의 관계

        The present study was designed to examine the effect of dietary factors on blood pressure of adolescents. Among dietary factors, sodium and potassium were major interest to examine the effect. Specific objectives of this study were: 1. measurement of nutrient intake in relation to dietary risk factors of hypertension, 2. variation of blood pressure by sodium and potassium intake level, 3. measurement of relative importance of growth and dietary factors on blood pressure, 4. variation of blood pressure by sodium and potassium intake with control of growth factor. A total of 418 students who were third grade at middle school in Kangwha area were observed as the study subjects. The blood pressure(systolic, diastolic)measurements, physical measurements(weight, height, arm-circumference, skinfoldthickness), dietary intake(24 hour recall), 24 hour urine collection has been included in the study. Multiple regression analysis was used as analytical method to identify priorities of the importance between the factors. Analysis of variance were used to test the significant difference between the groups. 1. As the results, the daily average consumption of calorie for males and females were 2476.5Kcal, 1826.4Kcal respectively. Mean protein intake were 84.95g, 66.6g for boys and girls respectively. Those mean intake levels were close to the recommended dietary allowances. The mean intake of cholesterol were far below(70%) the recommended dietary allowances. Those observations indicate that dietary pattern of study subjects showed very little dietary risk of hypertension. 2. The variation of blood pressure by sodium and potassium intake level were inconsistent both in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in both sexes. 3. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the physical growth were more influential factor than nutrient factor on blood pressure. It may imply that hypertension risk factors observed from adults may not well reflected on the blood pressure for the growing aged population. 4. After control of the physical growth, there was no significant variation observed by the level of Na and K intake. In summary, the results indicate that growth has been more influential factor than dietary factor on blood pressure for the growing aged population.

      • 인터넷에서 메타데이터 기반구조 PICS를 이용한 협력적 필터링에 관한 연구

        오늘날 인터넷상의 정보자원은 그 양과 품질이 매우 다양하다. 그에 따라 전자적 발행과 품질을 제어할 수 없게 되어 정보의 과부하를 초래하고 양질의 자원을 선별하는 것이 어려워졌다. 따라서, 자원을 체계적으로 조직할 필요가 있으며 또한, 자원의 품질을 평가하여 필터링하기 위한 표준화된 등급체계가 요구된다. 그러한 필터링은 저자와 전문가, 사서 및 이용자간에 협력적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 인터넷 환경에서의 정보검색 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 월드 와이드 웹 컨소시움(World Wide Web Consortium : W3C)에서 개발된 PICS(Platform for Internet Content Selection)를 도입했다. PICS는 인터넷 자원의 내용과 레이블(label)을 결합하기 위한 기반구조인데, 그러한 레이블은 자원의 기술사항 정보를 제공한다. 초기 PICS1.1 규격은 인터넷의 부적절한 정보에 대한 접근을 제어하기 위해, 단순한 내용 필터링을 목적으로 개발된 것으로 수치적 평가값을 기반으로 하였지만, PICS2.0의 확장구조는 비수치값으로 문자열인 메타 데이터를 수용하고, 내용 필터링 용도의 한정된 범위를 확장함으로써, 디지털 도서관에서 양질의 정보자원을 필터링할 수 있도록 발전되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 메타데이터 기반구조인 PICS를 분석하여 인터넷 자원의 검색 및 필터링에 적용할 수 있는 요인들을 제시하고, 기존의 협력적 필터링 시스템들이 구현되었던 유즈넷 뉴스 자원이라는 제한된 영역을 웹 정보 환경으로 확장하는 새로운 시스템을 제안하고자 하는 것이다. 제안한 시스템은 세 부분, 즉 PICS 등급체계에 따라 레이블을 생성하는 저자와, 제삼자 기관인 등급서비스, 그리고 레이블국으로 구성된다. 시스템 특성은 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, PICS 등급체계는 기술범주와 평가범주로 구성되며, 이를 바탕으로 저자는 셀프 레이블링을 하고 등급서비스들은 제삼자 레이블링을 하여, 각각 기술레이블과 평가레이블을 생성할 수 있다. 기술레이블은 검색의 정확률을 높이고, 평가레이블은 검색되는 자원의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있으므로, 탐색엔진에 의한 방대하고 차별화되지 않는 검색 문제가 해결될 수 있다. 둘째, 레이블국은 생성된 레이블을 독립적으로 저장, 관리한다. 이용자들은 이를 통해 여러 등급서비스들의 레이블을 참고할 수 있게 됨으로써, 한 기관의 견해에 의한 독단적인 평가 메커니즘의 단점과 자원 품질에 대한 편중된 평가 문제가 해결될 수 있다. 셋째, 정보의 품질에 대한 평가는 두 지점, 즉 제삼자의 평가레이블 생성과정과 이용자 수준의 필터링에서 협력적으로 이루어지므로, 이용자는 정보자원의 품질을 신뢰할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 선별기준에 따라 탐색을 제한하여 정보자원을 선별할 수 있게 된다. 시스템의 실제 구현을 도모하기 위해, 등급서비스를 주제게이트웨이로 가정하고, 의학 정보를 위한 'OMNl-PICS'라는 등급체계 프로토타입을 설정하였으며 기계 가독형 RAT파일을 설계하였다. OMNl-PICS 등급체계는 PICS 확장구조를 기반으로 하여 두 단계 즉, 문자열 데이터인 더블린코어를 기술범주로 수용하고, 추가적으로 평가범주를 설정하여 구축하였다. 따라서, 웹에서 특정 주제 영역을 다루는 주제게이트웨이들이 자원을 협력적으로 필터링하기 위한 표준 포맷으로 PICS 등급체계를 적용하여 운용할 수 있는 구체적 지침을 제공하였다. Information resources now available on the Internet are greatly various in both quantity and quality, but there is no control over the electronic publishing and the quality of resources. That results in information overloaded, and the difficulties of the users to find high-quality materials have dramatically increased. Therefore, there are desperate needs to organize Internet resources systematically and to establish a standardized rating system. The standardized rating system is used for the evaluation and filtering of the quality of information collaboratively by authors, information professionals, librarians and users. This study explores a new solution to information retrieval problem on the Internet, which may begin with the Platform for Internet Content Selection (PICS) by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). P'ICS is an infrastructure which associates labels with Internet resource contents. The labels provide descriptive information. PICSl.l specification was originally designed to control the access to unsuitable materials on the Internet, and based on numeric values only. The purpose of PICS1.1 is a simple content filtering. However, PICS2.0, the extension mechanism of PCIS1.l, for adding new functionality permitting metadata of non-numeric values (e.g., string) is now attempting to expand the uses of labels beyond content filtering and evolving to address the broader issues of content selection including filtering high quality resources in Digital Libraries. The purpose of this study is to give a thorough review of PICS as an infrastructure for metadata and to suggest vital factors for its application on retrieval and filtering of Internet resources. And the other purpose is to propose a new system to filter resources collaboratively on Web Environments, which will broaden Usenet news domains for which previous systems have been implemented in limited cases. The presented system in this study consists of Author, Rating Service as a third party, and Label Bureau. The characteristics of the system are as follows. First of all, PICS rating system is composed of descriptive and evaluative categories used by Authors and Rating Services that create descriptive and evaluative labels respectively. Descriptive labels can enhance retrieval accuracy and evaluative labels can contribute to improving quality resources, so a possible solution to the problem of massive and undifferentiated retrieval results caused by search engines can be presented. Secondly, the Label Bureau can preserve, manage and distribute labels independently, allowing the users to refer to many labels made by other rating services. That can ameliorate the disadvantage of both arbitrary scoring mechanism and uneven reviewing on quality. Finally, quality evaluation at two points - at one point where evaluative labels are produced by the third party and at the other point where the users evaluate by themselves (those two phases occur collaboratively) - can make the users get the quality assurance of the information resources and also can help the users to select resources by search limiting based on selection criteria. To facilitate the embodiment of system, assuming the rating services as subject gateways, this study has constructed the prototype of the PICS-based rating system, so called 'OMNI-PICS' for medical information, and designed its machine-readable RAT files. The OMNI-PICS rating system based on PICS extension mechanism has been built up by two stages; One is Dublin Core metadata set, a string data type, which was accepted as an descriptive category, and the other is establishment of an evaluative category. That can be a guideline which will help subject gateways, covering a certain subject area on the Web, to use the best PICS rating system as a standard format of collaborative resources filtering.

        As the information technology is rapidly developed, an international trade method is being changed. Electronic trade not only causes to change the traditional trade and the commercial practices, but also causes to big changes in saving time, cutting cost and abroad small and medium size businesses by reducing the intermediate courses. Traditionally international payment system such as letter of credits, documentary collections and remittance operated as a popular and important method of payment Now, information technology has made it possible to pay for the sale of goods and service over the internet. In international trade, there are service providers to settle payment electronically through the Internet. Global electronic trade payment systems such as BOLERO, TradeCard, Identrus, BeXcom etc. are common means of trade payment. The systems are B2B e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle electronic trade securely over the Internet. The goal of electronic trade payment systems is to provide a secure, reliable, cost-effective and user-friendly solution for conducting and settling electronic trade. However, in order for these predictions to be realized, several prerequisites have to be satisfied, for instance conflicting viewpoints between users and suppliers, relating to technology such as standardization of the system, security of data, authentication, payment, and relating to legal system such as legalization of the related laws and establishment of network. Nevertheless I think those problems are solved step by step and electronic trade payment systems are expected to contribute greatly to activate the electronic trade.
