The aim of this study is to obtain favorable operating conditions for Bench-scale ship STP by using artificial wastewater. For this purpose, shipboard STP was manufactured with Bench-scale level and COD, T-N and T-P were measured to find out the optimum conditions for removal of nutrients and organic matter. In the experiment, artificial wastewater was prepared by using C6H12O6, KNO3 and KH2PO4. Microorganism were taken from G sewage treatment plant for anoxic and aeration tank. Moreover different time intervals were adjusted for mixing and aeration periods(min) (70-70, 80-40 and 90-60), on the other hand the two operating conditions 10:3:1 and 10:5:3(were the ratios of COD : T-N : T-P) was used. Experimental results manifest that 10:3:1 ratio with 90 min mixing and 60 min aeration also exhibited 91.33% organic matter, 97.97% T-N and 88.64% T-P removal efficiency respeching. In the experiment condition of 90min mixing and 60 min aeration showed better removal efficiency of organic matter, T-N and T-P in 10:3:1 and 10:5:3 ratios as compared to other conditions.

International Maritime Organization (IMO) is one of the most effective organizations in evolving international law for the protection and conservation of the marine environment. The IMO, MARPOL(Marine Pollution) 73/78 contains six Annexes that provide an overarching framework for the objectives of the international marine pollution. Annex IV was regulated by 64 th resolution in 2012 to control sea pollution from sewage. In 2014 large-scale wastewater treatment and nutrient removal device was developed with a grant from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. A combined new process of Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) and Membrane Bioreactor(MBR) was developed to overcome the pollution caused by shipboard sewage. In the present study, shipboard sewage wastewater was treated by mixing and aeration cycle in the newly developed SBR process. Furthermore, during analysis by NGS technique(Macrogen Co., Ltd.), dominant species of bacteria were found in the aeration tank of the Bench-scale wastewater treatment facility. Bacteroidetes and Gammaproteobacteria accounted for 27.1 % of the aerobicbacteria and 16.8 % of the anaerobicbacteria, respectively. Microorganisms play a vital role in shipboard wastewater treatment. A further detailed study is required to understand the precise role of the microorganisms in the wastewater treatment.

The objectives of this research are to remove dissolved organic matter and nitrogen compounds by using aerated submerged bio-film (ASBF) reactors in batch systems and improve understanding of dissolved organic matter and nitrogen compounds removal rates with dynarnic relationships between heterotrophic and autotrophic bacteria in the fixed-film reactor. This research explores the possibility of enhancing the performance of shallow wastewater treatment lagoons through the addition of specially designed structures. These structures are designed to encourage the growth of a nitrifying bacterial bio-film on a submerged surface. Specially, the effects of cold temperatures on the dissolved organic matter and amrnonia nitrogen performance of the ASBF pilot plant was investigated for the batch system. It is anticipated that the ASBF would be used for a design of biological treatment for removing of dissolved organic matter and nitrogen compounds in new wastewater treatment plants as well as existing wastewater treatment plants.
