Field surveys for the digital map being constructed is being conducted using various work guide books based on the digital mapping internal rule. However, a modification of a rule used for paper map construction is being used for the digital mapping rule, which is causing many problems with the quality of the digital map. Therefore, to construct a high-quality digital map, general standards related to conducting field surveys need to be reviewed, and it's extremely important to construct an accurate digital map based on this. Accordingly, in this study, problems related to conducting field surveys for the construction of the digital map are analyzed in order to establish more suitable field survey standards for constructing an accurate digital map. To this end, work regulations related to construction of a digital map were analyzed, and attribute and field survey data were compared to those of a previously-constructed digital map for analysis. By reflecting opinions of field surveyors and related experts to the results of the analysis, more suitable field survey standards for constructing the digital map were presented.

This study was carried out to provide with a preliminary data for the creation of a complex by performing a sight analysis using numerical maps, on-sit surveys and photographic images. For this purpose, the final view points were selected by analyzing landscape resources in the neighboring areas and carrying out a 3-D modeling of the target areas, and by synthesizing the pictures taken at the final view points with the results of the landscape analysis, a prediction of landscape changes was carried out. Also, a plan for afforestation was established through the composite photograph images, the landscape architecture analyzed at each view point and a shield planting plan. Thus, this study was able to provide a preliminary data through which a pleasant and reasonable industrial complex could be created by establishing a landscape plan through various procedures of the analysis of the landscape architecture with the data of the 3-D spatial information on the small-scaled areas.

The latest multi-dimension spatial information technology is emerging its importance as material for carrying out efficient facilities management’s supporting business about numerous facilities inside a university, budgeting decision-making supporting business such as operating expenses’ budgeting and management, etc. and admission advertisement, etc. Accordingly, the present study selected an optimal location that can maximize spatial utilization of a building to be newly built by constructing multi-dimension spatial information for facilities management of a university, and executed a site suitability analysis according to transfer of a university symbol and a landscape analysis, etc. according to external environment change. As a result, it appeared that the effects such as prevention of duplicate investment and budget saving, etc. due to university’s comfortable spatial composition and systematic comprehensive development & budgeting or decision-making support in case of execution, etc. caused by rationalization of facilities plan & management can be maximized.

This study has been performed to define the standard of runoff coefficients which are applicable to the process of route design or various public facilities design. The application of accurate runoff coefficients is very important in construction works due to the fact that the abnormal weather and torrential downpour are raising. However, in Korea society, as planner's subjective judgement of an object region status would make the application of erroneous runoff coefficients, many problems have been occurred. Consequently, in this study, we could perform terrain analysis and rainfall basins extraction with GIS technoques and suggest the application standard of runoff coefficients in accordiance to terrain characteristics and the land covers. By having the application of the study results to past flooded areas, we could suggest improved plans.

With the foot-and-mouth disease problems emerging as a serious social issue, this study set out to analyze the problems with the current setting of preventive zones against epidemics and find ways to minimize damage through preventive measures. For those purposes, the study analyzed the outbreaks of the foot-and-mouth disease and assumed that the disease would be transmitted via vehicles along the roads based on the network map of national roads and boundaries among administrative districts to conduct network analysis. The analysis results were then used to estimate spread time, whose results were then categorized according to lineal road distance and actual road distance. Then lineal moving speed and actual moving speed on the road were obtained according to the national roads and administrative districts to analyze the problems with the current method of setting preventive zones against the foot-and-mouth disease. As for spread speed around the areas where the foot-and-mouth disease broke out, the average lineal spread speed was 53.9㎞/day, and the average spread speed on the road was 71.1㎞ /day, which indicates there are problems with the current method of setting preventive zones against epidemics.
