The criteria on the safety factors against sliding and overturning of cantilever retaining wall are different from the home and abroad manuals, codes and references each other. This study is primarily concentrated on the safety factors against sliding with base key according to the famous home and abroad manuals, codes and references using a presumptive dimensions of cantilever retaining wall. Also it have introduced that recent studies on the location of resultant active earth pressure acting on back of cantilever retaining wall and the location of the point for computing the driving moments. This paper is helpful to guide the criteria of stability against sliding with base key of cantilever retaining wall this after.

The actual slope failures were occurred at Mu-Jun road and Suck-Gul road in Kyung-Sang province, Korea, in 1991. The peak and residual shear strength parameters of the soils which are related to these actual slope failures, were obtained using direct shear tester in the natural and saturated pore water states respectively. The Results of this study provide the guide-line of the slop stability analysis.

응력재분포리론을 응용한 Dubrova의 토압론과 이를 수정한 Chang의 방법을 발전시켜 정적토압과 지진시의 토압을 벽체의 변위형태를 고려하여 산정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 뒤채움은 사질토 두 일반토로 구분하여 별개의 토압산정식을 제시하였다. 토류벽의 변위형태는 다음 4가지를 선택하였다. (1) 벽체의 정점을 중심으로 회전하는 주동변위 (2) 벽체의 정점을 중심으로 회전하는 주동변위 (3) 벽체의 벽체을 중심으로 회전하는 수동변위 (4) 벽체의 벽체을 중심으로 회전하는 수동변위 제안된 토압공식을 다른 토압론에 의한 이론치와 비교 검토하였다. 그 결과 변위의 형태에 따라 상이한 토압분포가 얻어졌으며 이는 현재 관용되고 있는 토압이론보다 더 합리적이라 사려된다. The reasonable static and dynamic earth pressure equations were developed by applying the Dubrova's theory and Chang's method to the following cases of wall movements; (1) Active case rotating about the top (2) Active case rotating about the bottom (3) Passive case rotating about the top (4) Passive case rotating about the bottom The equations are presented in accordance with particular wall displacements for the sand and cohesive back-fill, respectively. The results computed by the proposed equations are compared with the conventional theoretical values.

We report a case of eosinophilic cellulitis developed in a 54-year-old male. He had a cellulitis-like erythematous plaque on the left thigh and an erosive and crusted bulla on the left ankle for 7 days. Histologic findings showed diffuse dense infiltration of eosinophils and characteristic flame figures in the dermis. After taking prednisolone orally for 2 weeks, his skin lesions were improved almost completely.

The static and dynamic lateral earth pressure distributions on the stem of cantilever retaining walls have been obtained by the conventional Coulomb's theory and Mononobe-Okabe`s theory. But these methods do not consider the modes of wall movements. In this paper, the reasonable static and dynamic lateral earth pressure methods which consider the rotation about the bottom of stem are developed by applying the Chang's idea and Seed and Whitman's method. Comparative studies about the static and dynamic lateral earth pressure distributions with two methods mentioned above are also conducted. The results showed that the static and dynamic lateral earth pressure and overturning moment from the recommended method are larger than from the conventional method. Consequently, the design of the dimension and the magnitude of reinforced steel of stem by the conventional static and dynamic lateral earth pressure could be underestimating.

The safety factor has been used widely and uniquely in the present to check the safety of the structure. However, Probability of failure would be logically attempted to check the reliability of the structure in future. Coulomb's theory or Rankine's theory has been applied in practice to retaining earth structure in spite of the fact that the lateral earth pressure, which is the primary factor in the determination of wall structure, depends on the modes of wall movement. This study is concentrated on the two modes of wall movement (rotation about bottom (AB), rotation about top (AT) of the overturning failure of vertical wall with horizontal backfill considering surcharge. The static earth pressure is determined by applying each of Coulomb's theory, Dubrova's redistribution theory and Chang's method. The earthquake earth pressure is determined by adding Seed and Whitman's earthquake pressure to the static earth pressure. On the condition that design variables are fixed with each of the above earth pressure, reliability is analyzed using the recently developed method of AFOSM(Advanced First Order Second Moment).
實測値에 대한 Wick-Krain 解析에서 排水條件이 壓密에 미치는 影響

This paper studies the effect of the drain condition on the degree of consolidation, considering only one-dimensional(radial) drain and two-dimensional (radial and vertical) drain by using finite difference method. The calculated values are compared with the observed value to examine the accuracy. The results obtained are as follow : 1. In case of using work-drain in normally consolidated marine clay, smear zone effect should be considered. 2. In case of considering long-term settlement, two-dimensional analysis is necesssary.
