      • 2 stage CVT 하이브리드 자동차의 회생제동 알고리즘 개발

        In this study, a regenerative braking control algorithm for 2 stage CVT hybrid electric vehicle is proposed to increase the recuperation energy during braking. The regenerative braking control algorithm selects the proper gear ratio of the planetary gear while the CVT variator ratio is controlled to maintain the motor operation on the optimal operating line. In order to evaluate the performance of the regenerative braking control algorithm, a 2 stage CVT hybrid electric vehicle simulator is developed. It is found from the simulation results that the amount of the regenerative braking energy is increasedly the proposed control algorithm.

      • 진행성 위암 환자에서 복강 내 미세전이 진단을 위한 복강 세척액 $ThinPrep^{(R)}$ 세포진 굄사의 임상적 의의

        목적: 진행성 위암에서 복막 세포진 검사는 복강 내 미세전이를 진단하는 유용한 방법으로 사용되고 있으나 아직까지 국내외에서 액상세포검사를 사용한 복막 세포진 검사의 의의에 대한 연구가 보고되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 수술 중 수집된 복막 세척액을 이용한 액상세포($ThinPrep^{(R)}$) 검사의 임상적 의의를 분석하기 위해 시행되었다. 대상 및 방법: 2001년부터 2006년까지 본원에서 위암 진단하에 수술 중 위장막의 침범 또는 노출이 의심되어 복막 세포진 검사를 시행 받은 424예의 진행성 위암 환자들의 임상 병리학적 자료와 세포진 검사 결과를 후향적으로 조사하여 분석하였다. 결과: 복막 세포진 양성은 31%였으며, 복막 세포진 결과는 단변량 및 다변량 분석에서 T 병기, N 병기, P 병기와 밀접한 관계를 보였다. 3년 생존율은 복막 세포진 음성에서 68% 양성에서 26%였으며, 복막전이(P)와 복막 세포진(CY)을 기준으로 분류하였을 때 P0CY0 71%, P0CY1 39%, P1/2/3CY0 39%, 그리고 P1/2/3CY1 11%의 3년 생존율을 보였다. 그리고 단변량 및 다변량 생존분석 결과, 복막 세포진 결과가 성별, T 병기, N 병기, P 병기, 복막 외 원격 전이, 혈청 CEA와 함께 독립적인 예후 인자로 증명되었고, 또한 근치적 절제 군에서 복막 세포진 결과는 복막 재발의 위험 인자임이 밝혀졌다. 결론: 본 연구는 복막 세포진 검사가 복강 내 미세전이를 진단 할 수 있는 신뢰성 높은 진단 방법이며 진행성 위암에서 강력한 예후 인자이며 복막 재발의 위험 인자임을 증명하였다. Purpose: Peritoneal lavage cytology is regarded as a useful diagnostic test for detecting intraperitoneal micrometastsis. However, there are currently no reports about cytological examination with $ThinPrep^{(R)}$ (CY), a newly introduced fluid-based diagnostic system, in patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC). This study was performed to analyze the clinical significance of intraoperative peritoneal lavage for CY in AGC patients. Materials and Methods: 424 AGC patients were suspected to have serosal exposure macroscopically during surgery and they underwent intraoperative peritoneal lavage for CY between 2001 and 2006 at Korea Cancer Center Hospital. The clinical data, pathological data and CY results were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results: The percentage of cytology positive results was 31.1%, and this was well correlated with the T-stage, N-stage and P-stage. The 3-year survival rates of CY0 and CY1 were 68.1% and 25.9%, respectively. According to the P-stage and CY, the 3-year survival rates were 71.1% in P0CY0, 38.9% in P0CY1, 38.5% in P1/2/3CY0 and 11.0% in P1/2/3CY1. Interestingly, both the P0CY1 and P1/2/3CY0 survival curves were similar figures, but they were significantly different from those of the other groups. Multivariate analysis indicated that CY was an independent, strong prognostic factor for survival, as well as sex, the T-stage, N-stage, P-stage, other metastasis and the serum CEA. CY1 was revealed as a risk factor for peritoneal recurrence in the curative resection group. Conclusion: The results certify indirectly that cytological examination using $ThinPrep^{(R)}$ is a very reliable diagnostic method for detecting intraperitoneal micrometastasis from the fact that it is not only a strong prognostic factor, but it is also a risk factor for peritoneal recurrence in AGC patients. Therefore intraoperative peritoneal lavage should be included in the routine intraoperative staging workup for AGC, and its result will provide a good target for the treatment of peritoneal micrometastasis.

      • 병렬형 CVT 하이브리드 자동차의 ISG 성능에 관한 연구

        In this study, a feasibility of reducing the ISG capacity is investigated for a parallel CVT hybrid electric vehicle(HEV). Using the CVT function, clutch speed of the motor side is decreased which provides the decreased clutch speed of the engine side. This gives a reduced ISG capacity which is required to increase the engine speed to the synchronization point. To evaluate the performance of mode change control with the reduced ISG, CVT HEV simulator is developed based on MATLAB/Simulink and SimDriveline. It is found from the simulation results that the mode change using the reduced ISG show satisfactory performance by the CVT control.

        Modeling and Simulation for a Tractor Equipped with Hydro-Mechanical Transmission

        Purpose: A simulator for the design and performance evaluation of a tractor with a hydro-mechanical transmission (HMT)was developed. Methods: The HMT consists of a hydro-static unit (HSU), a swash plate control system, and a planetary gear. It was modeled considering the input/output relationship of the torque and speed, and efficiency of HSU. Furthermore, a dynamic model of a tractor was developed considering the traction force, running resistance, and PTO (power take off)output power, and a tractor performance simulator was developed in the co-simulation environment of AMESim and MATLAB/Simulink. Results: The behaviors of the design parameters of the HMT tractor in the working and driving modes were investigated as follows; For the stepwise change of the drawbar load in the working mode, the tractor and engine speeds were maintained at the desired values by the engine torque and HSU stroke control. In the driving mode, the tractor followed the desired speed through the control of the engine torque and HSU stroke. In this case, the engine operated near the OOL (optimal operating line) for the minimum fuel consumption within the shift range of HMT. Conclusions: A simulator for the HMT tractor was developed. The simulations were conducted under two operation conditions. It was found that the tractor speed and the engine speed are maintained at the desired values through the control of the engine torque and the HSU stroke.

        In this paper, a dual clutch transmission(DCT) shift performance simulator were developed to evaluate the shift quality using MATLAB/Simulink and SimDriveline. Dynamic models of the DCT were obtained including synchronizer, gear fork actuator system, and clutch Based on the dynamic models, a DCT shift performance simulator was developed. Test and simulation results were compared to verify the DCT shift performance simulator. It was found that the test and simulation results were good agreement, and it is expected that developed simulator can be used to improve the shift quality of the DCT.

        In this study, a 2 stage CVT shift control algorithm is proposed for kickdown shift to improve acceleration performance. The proposed shift control algorithm controls a desired secondary pressure to increase a variator shift speed and a release clutch pressure to shift a planetary gear smoothly. In order to evaluate acceleration performance of the control algorithm, a 2 stage CVT vehicle simulator is developed based on MATLAB/Simulink and SimDriveline. It is found from the simulation results that an acceleration performance is improved in terms of an increase of variator shift speed.

        Epidemiologic Study of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Expression in Advanced/Metastatic Gastric Cancer: an Assessment of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Status in Tumor Tissue Samples of Gastric and Gastro- Esophageal Junction Cancer

        Purpose: The Trastuzumab for gastric cancer (GC) trial identified human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) as a predictor of successful treatment with trastuzumab (HER2 receptor targeting agent) among patients with advanced/metastatic GC. To date, the prevalence of HER2 overexpression in the Korean population is unknown. The present study aimed to assess the incidence of HER2 positivity among GC and gastroesophageal (GE) junction cancer samples and the relationship between HER2 overexpression and clinicopathological characteristics in Korean patients. Materials and Methods: Tumor samples collected from 1,695 patients with histologically proven GC or GE junction enrolled at 14 different hospitals in Korea were examined. After gathering clinicopathological data of all patients, HER2 status was assessed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) at each hospital, and IHC 2+ cases were subjected to silver-enhanced in situ hybridization at 3 central laboratories. Results: A total of 182 specimens tested positive for HER2, whereas 1,505 tested negative. Therefore, the overall HER2-positive rate in this study was 10.8% (95% confidence interval=9.3%–12.3%). The HER2-positive rate was higher among intestinal-type cases (17.6%) than among other types, and was higher among patients older than 70 years and 50 years of age, compared to other age groups. Conclusions: Our evaluation of the HER2 positivity rate (10.8%) among Korean patients with GC and GE junction indicated the necessity of epidemiological data when conducting studies related to HER2 expression in GC and GE junction.
