VAR 모형을 이용한 한국의 대 중국 국경간 전자상거래 수출 분석

한국과 중국의 국경간 전자상거래 (CBEC: Cross Border E-Commerce) 무역은 급속히 발전해 왔다. 본 연구에서는 한국과 중국간의 전자상거래 무역 데이터를 사용하여 벡터자기회귀모형 (Vector Auto Regressive Model, VAR) 기반으로 한국의 대 중국 CBEC수출에 영향을 주는 요인들을 검토하고, 미래 수출에 대한 예측치를 제시하고자 한다. 더 나아가, 한국과 중국의 FTA 발효와 중국과 미국의 무역분쟁이 한국의 대 중국 전자상거래 수출을 증가시키는 유의성을 보이고 있는지를 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 2010년부터 2019년 2분기까지 양국의 분기별 데이터를 사용하여 VAR 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 한국과 중국의 FTA 발효 전후와 때, 중미 무역전쟁의 발생 전후를 비교할 때, 한국의 대 중국 전자상거래 수출은 유의미하게 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 제시된 요인들 중 한국의 인터넷 사용자 수는 한국의 대 중국 CBEC수출에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 환율과 인터넷 사용자 수는 한국의 대 중국 수출에 간접적인 영향을 미치고 GDP는 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 도출된 VAR 모형의 예측결과를 기반으로 한국의 대중국 전자상거래 수출액에 대한 추정치를 제시하였다. Over the past decade, the cross-border electronic commerce (CBEC) market between Korea and China has been developed rapidly. However, most CBEC researches between Korea and China are at early stage and thus more qualitative analysis such as CBEC s strengths and weaknesses, CBEC s policy support and logistics has been made than quantitative one. This paper employs vector autoregressive model (VAR) using actual data to test the significance of variables suggested affecting South Korea’s export of CBEC to China, and further to predict future exports. The Eviews software is used for the analysis to reflect the dynamic pattern of the trade. The quarterly data from South Korea and China, from 2010 to the second quarter of 2019, are used. The first result shows that the GDP has a negative impact on South Korea’s CBEC exports to China in the short term, but it has a positive impact in the long run. Second, both variables of exchange rates and the number of Internet users have a positive impact on the exports. The enforcement of the South Korea-China Free Trade Agreement and the outbreak of the US-China trade war have made a positive impact on the exports. Third, both exchange rate and Internet users have indirect effect to Korea s exports to China, while the GDP makes direct impact. This study analyzes the status quo of CBEC development to analyze the CBEC trade pattern between two countries and to provide methods and suggestions for future CBEC research.
