Supported catalyst are widely studied, and exploring new promising catalyst to access more interesting organic reaction. Especially, biomass based support shown efficient catalyst for an aerobic oxidation for 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) without base in aqueous system. The catalytic influence of preparation condition for biomass based support like carbonization temperature etc. was investigated. This catalyst showed excellent catalytic activity for selective HMF oxidation.

Soft magnetica-Fe nanoparticles were prepared by a coprecipitation route and hard magnetic Nd15Fe77B8 nanoparticles were pre-pared by ball milling for 20 h by using a shaker mill. A mechanical ball-mill technique was applied to build up exchange-coupled nano-particles. A mixture of Nd2Fe14B and a-Fe nanoparticles in a stainless steel boat was milled for 2 h and annealed in a vacuum furnaceunder vacuum (. 10. 5 Torr) at 650.C for 30 min. The crystal structure of the nanoparticles was conrmed by using X-ray powder dif-fraction (XRD). The surface morphology was identied by FE-SEM. The magnetization curve was measured with a vibrating-samplemagnetometer (VSM). Thermogravimetry using a microbalance with magnetic eld gradient positioned below the sample was used.
Selective Epoxidation of Alkene with Molecular Oxygen on Metal Organic Framework Catalyst

Epoxidation of alkene with heterogeneous catalyst of metal-organic framework (MOF) was studied. Unlike homogeneous catalysts, hetero-geneous catalyst were can be easily separated and reused several times. Hence, the heterogeneous MOF catalyst was separated from the reaction solution by filtration after epoxidation reaction of alkene at mild condition by molecular oxygen, the MOF as heterogeneous catalyst have high activity and, multiple recycles in epoxidation of alkene.
