In recent years, technological advances have made our lives very convenient. There are many machines that operate unmanned, such as kiosks and robots, and as a result, it has become difficult for people with disabilities to use them. Also, as the public kickboard business emerged, a new risk was created for the visually impaired. While technology advances, technology for people with disabilities has not developed much. In this paper, we describe a wand that uses Arduino and ultrasonic sensors to recognize obstacles in the front and the bottom and notify the user. The goal is to inform the user of the information recognized by the ultrasonic sensor through a vibration motor and a buzzer so that they can walk safely from danger.
춘천 산사태에서의 재난의료 대응팀(Disaster Medical Assistant Team)의 역할및 산사태 재난의 특징

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the expierience of the Wonju Disaster Medical Assistant Team (DMAT)’s activities during the Chun-cheon landslide (AM 00:08 on July 7th, 2011) and to present damages caused by the landslide. The scale of the domestic DMAT in the landslide disaster was also assessed. Methods: In a retrograde study, victims were analyzed video camera recordings and medical records at the landslide disaster. Follow-up surveys of patients taken to the hospital after the Chun-cheon landslide were also analyzed. In addition, pertinence of the Wonju DMAT’s activities during the rescue activity, designated by National Emergency Management, were evaluated. Results: Rescue efforts continued until 13:00 on July 7th,2011. The number of casualties was forty one, consisted of three immediate patients, six delayed patients, nineteen minimal patients, and thirteen expectant patients. The Wonju DMAT arrived at the scene of the landslide disaster at AM 02:30 on July 7th, 2011. After installing a medical office, they categorized patients by ID-ME classification and provided medical treatment to twenty-two patients, including local residents and rescue workers. Conclusion: The cause of death in the landslide disaster was suffocation. A small-scale DMAT rescue, composed on five to six people, is more proper for disaster response in a landslide disaster.

Objective: Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a common cause of death and serious neurological morbidity. Efforts to reduce the mortality due to OHCA focus on the “chain of survival.” The survival rates of OHCA patients are known to be related to prehospital conditions. Methods: Helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) provide a variety of procedures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other advanced interventions that may improve the prognosis of OHCA patients. HEMS can respond quickly to long-distance or difficult-to-access places. This study attempted to investigate the characteristics of OHCA patients who had utilized inter-hospital air transport. The study was an observational cohort study using prospective data from a single suburban tertiary care hospital over a period of 7 years. The study data were analyzed using the SPSS version 28 software. Results: In the survival group, the cause was more cardiac-related than in the death group (54% vs. 23.4%; P<0.001). CPR by bystanders and defibrillation by the emergency medical technicians were more frequent than in the death group. Also, the initial rhythm of the survivors was mainly VT or VF (48.0% vs. 14.9%; P<0.003). Conclusion: In the HEMS mission with OHCA arrest, the patients with a cardiac origin, witnessed arrest, those with a shockable rhythm and shorter CPR time had a trend towards better survival and neurological outcomes in this study.
소각시설의 대기오염방지시설에 따른 다이옥신 제거효율 비교분석

우리나라 폐기물 처리는 재활용, 소각, 매립 등의 방법으로 처리하고 있으나, 폐기 물 자원화에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 매립량을 줄이고 폐기물의 직접적인 재활용과 소각에 의한 에너지 회수로 방향을 전환하고 있다. 환경부 환경통계에 따르면 ‘11년 도의 총 생활폐기물 발생농도는 48,934톤/일 이고, 생활폐기물 소각률은 약 23.7% 이 다. 생활폐기물 소각량은 2002년 14.5%에서 매년 증가하여 2011년도 23.7%로 증가하였 다. 이처럼 소각방법이 지속적으로 증가한 이유는 소각방법이 폐열을 회수하여 에너지 로 이용이 용이하고, 매립에 비해 넓은 처리 공간과 장기적인 사후 관리가 요구되지 않아 현실적이다. 그러나 소각의 경우 연소과정에서 독성 물질로 알려진 다이옥신이 배출가스와 함께 대기중으로 배출될 가능성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 소각시설에서 발생 하는 배출가스 중 다이옥신 발생농도 및 배출농도를 동시 측정을 통해 각 방지시설의 다이옥신 제거효율을 알아보고, 다이옥신 제거에 효과적인 방지시설 구성을 확인하고자 한다.
Effect of post-treatment fluvastatin for hemorrhagic shock in rats

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the biochemical, histologic, and immunologic effects of post-treatment administration of fluvastatin in a hemorrhagic shock (HS) rat model. Methods: Experimental rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group: no drugs and did not undergo HS; control statin group: fluvastatin 1 mg/kg (no HS); HS group: normal saline after HS; HS+statin group: fluvastatin 1 mg/kg+normal saline after HS. Briefly, HS was induced by femoral arterial catheter blood extraction of 30% of the total blood volume. The mean arterial pressure and heart rate were monitored for 2 hours after starting blood withdrawal. Arterial blood gas, complete blood count, and serum cytokine levels were measured at baseline, 2 hours after HS, and 48 hours after resuscitation. The kidneys, lungs, and small intestines were removed for pathological examination 48 hours after HS. Results: At the end of the resuscitation period, the HS and HS+statin groups showed reduced bicarbonate, base excess, and platelet counts, all of which differed significantly from values in the control and control+statin groups. Compared to the control group, the HS+statin group exhibited significantly elevated serum interleukin-10 (IL-10) at 2 hours after resuscitation (P<0.05). Except for IL-10, the group-time interaction was not significant for other cytokine profiles. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that post-treatment with fluvastatin after HS increases the production of the antiinflammatory cytokine IL-10 and affects the cytokine profiles in rats.
수상 태양광 발전 시스템의 부유체 형상과 구성요소가 수력학적 안전성에 미치는 영향

As the photo-voltaic (PV) industry grows, the floating PV has been suggested to resolve current environmental destruction and a lack of installation area. Currently, various floating PV systems have been developed, but there is a lack of studies on how the shape of the floating body and other compositions are affecting structural behavior. In this study, the behavior of the floating PV was investigated at the various length of mooring lines, stiffness of connecting hinges, and size of floating bodies. The shortest mooring lines with the distributed type floating PV showed the least force on the floating body and corresponding motion. A frictionless hinge is safer at the regular and low-height wave, while a stiff hinge is safer at irregular and high-height wave. In addition, due to the bi-axial distribution of the connecting hinge, 45° direction wave was found to be the most dangerous.
