The purpose of this thesis is to study two tasks of character in Korea. One is a promoting civic virtues, the other is a promoting democratic dispositions such as honesty, tolerance, responsibility, fairness and caring. Character is a wide tent, covering a variety of approaches to building good character. So character education promotes democratic values and democratic disposition as the basis of good character. There are two reasons why we should be engaged in character education. The first is that we need good character to be fully human. We need strength of mind, heart and will-qualities such as good judgement, moral courage, honesty, tolerance, responsibility, trust, caring, self-respect and self-esteem to be capable of work and love, two of the hallmarks of human maturity. A second reason for character education is that it is essential to the task of building a moral society. At the present, Korean society suffers server social, economical and moral problems. Society's problems are most visibly reflected in its youth. The following youth trends-rising youth violence, interesting dishonesty, greater disrespect for parents, teachers, and other legitimate authority figures, increasing poor cruelty, a rise to bigotry and bate crime, a decline in the work ethic, increasing self centeredness, accompanied by declining personal and civic responsibility, a surge of self-destructive behaviors such as premature sexual activity and suicide, and growing ethical illiteracy, indicate the dimensions of the difficulty. In response to moral crisis, interest in effective and efficient character education is rapidly growing in Korea. For attaining two goals of character education-promoting civic virtues and democratic disposition such as honesty, tolerance, responsibility, fairness and caring-effectively and efficiently. Korean society and all schools must be a caring community. And teachers and parents give students more opportunities for moral action.

Tourism matters must be related to moral issues. Goals of tourism ethics education for Students specialize in Tourism are to relate tourism matters to moral issues, to recognize issues in tourism that have ethical implications, to develop a sense of moral obligation or responsibility, to develop the abilities needed to deal with ethical conflicts stage for a change in ethical behavior, appraise and understand the history and composition of all aspects tourism ethics and their relationship to the general field of ethics. Education for tourism needed to be redesigned by introducing new interactive methods of learning to the traditional approaches to methods, this study suggest some instructional methods-discussion, role-play, literature or fiction, nonfiction, video tapes and its pratice for tourism ethics education.

This study is intended to revaluate old tree. Old-gigantic trees are huge trees that have been rooted and grown up at a place for more than 100 years. This study was carried out to investigate the status, utilization, protection and maintenance of 158 old gigantic trees in Ulsan area. According to the study, many trees do not have enough space to survive, and need some compost to rehabilitate themselves and surgical operations to remove cavity. The department in charge of these old-gigantic trees needs the will to protect the trees, a systematic protection strategy and a protection committee, which consists of the professionals and citizens. It is the time to construct a landscaped area which people can easily approach, a place with a secure entrance where they can play, rest and converse.

통일교육과 민주시민교육의 과제

Democratic society depends on the democratic citizenship. Democratic citizenship is indispensible for persistence and development of democratic community. It is acquired by learning democracy, market economy system and democratic character or civic virtues such as honesty, tolerance, trust and practicing them. In other words, it is learned by experiences. The goal of democratic citizenship and unification education is to keep democratic order. Unification education should be understood in the domain of education for national integration, democratic citizenship education, and peace education. It must be built on beliefs in democracy, market economy system, democratic character or civic virtues, and its focus given to citizens autonomous learning experience. Unification education and democratic citizenship education in Korea help citizens to acquire abilities that prepare reunification and the lives after it.

바람직한 환경윤리와 21세기의 환경윤리교육에 관한 연구

This paper deals with the desirable environmental ethics and environmental ethics education in the twenty-first century. For desirable environmental ethics, the following points should be emphasized. first, we have to acknowledge homeostasis or stability in nature the general norm and environmental ethics for the co-existence of nature and human. secondly, we have to expand our ethical attitudes to nonhuman creatures, expanding concept of the value into nonanthropocentrism that goes beyond human-centered ethics. thirdly, we have to eastablish new moral attitudes to nature and respect right of nature. Our task as environmental ethics educators is to recognise complexity of environmental ethics education, and to implement actively programmes or education that inform our student about the complexities of the environment in which they are growing up, empower them to address environment and sustainable development issues in their own lives, and provide them with opportunities to be inspired by the joys, wonder and mysteries of the natural world and human achivement.

北韓 主體思想 形成過程의 虛構性에 대한 批判

이상 살펴본 바와 같이 김일성은 20세기 초, 한국사회가 처해 있는 국내외적 政治 社會의 特殊的 狀況에서 북한의 이론가들이 주장하는 그의 혁명전통을 기반으로 反帝民族解放運動과 反封建民主主義革命運動을 전개하였음을 强辯하고 있다. 그리고 조국해방을 전후한 국가적 혼란의 시기에 蘇聯亦軍의 강요된 革命과 支援에 의하여 북한에서 정치권력을 장악하고 이를 정당화하기 위하여 전체주의적 일인지배체제를 강화하기에 이른다. 이 때 김일성을 비롯한 그의 추종세력들은 통치이데올로기를 구축하고 사회주의혁명의 必然性과 當爲性을 역설하기 위하여 韓國戰爭이후 국제사회의 力學關係를 활용하여 주체사상이라는 것을 鑄造하게 되었다. 그리고 그들은 이러한 주체사상에 기초하여 주체의 혁명이론 즉, 길일성의 혁명론을 독창적으로 밝혔다고 주체사상총서에서 수 차례에 걸쳐 강변하고 있다. 그런데 그의 革命運動과 思想은 反帝 反封建民族解放運動의 과정에서는 抗日革命運動의 무대였던 中國 모택동의 人民民主主義的 戰略戰衛論을 模倣하였으며 그리고 社會主義建設의 過程에서는 소련 스탈린의 全體主義的 理論과 綱領을 援用하고 있다. 이러한 共産主義的 혁명운동과 사상의 외부로부터 導入은 해방전후의 北韓政權의 形成과 韓國戰爭의 過程에서 더욱 체계화되고 具體化되었다. 이와 같이 김일성의 주체사상은 國內外的 정치사회의 與件들 중에서 주로 외부적 與件에 의하여 형성되고 전개되어졌음은 이미 알려진 사실이다. 그러나, 그의 주체사상은 역시 외부적 요인에 의하여 共産主義革命運動과 思想에서 차별화를 선언하고 自力更生의 路線을 堅持하기에 이른다. 이것을 두고 그들은 주체의 혁명이론을 독창적으로 창시하였다고 강변하고 있는 실정이다. 이와 더불어 그것이 政治指導者의 統治와 支配論理의 이데올로기적 性格이 가미되어 展開될 경우 適期適所에 맞는 이론의 변화를 가져오게 되어 있는 것이다. 이러한 이유는 앞에서도 지적한 바와 같이 김일성의 혁명론이 이론이나 사상이기보다는 그들의 주장대로 實踐運動에서 비롯되었기 때문이기도 하다. 그러나, 그것보다는 김일성의 혁명론을 하나의 思想이나 主義로 定立시키기 위하여 국내외적 情勢를 잘 이용하고 때로는 捏造된 歷史와 虛構的 論理를 마치 결실인양 糊塗하였기 때문에 나타나는 양상이다. 즉, 외부로부터의 위협을 도발함으로써 내부적 단결의 강화를 기한다는 법칙을 이용하여 주체의 혁명이론은 이러한 外的條件을 內的變化의 土臺로 적극 활용하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러한 양상은 궁극에는 교조화된 혁명의 논리를 내세워 權力의 父子世襲體制를 완성할 수 있는 土臺를 마련해 주고 있으며, 뿐만 아니라 內外的으로는 이를 根據로 支配體制를 正當化하고 合理化하는 道具로 이용되고 있음을 비판할 수 있다. 그리고 북한공산주의자들은 주체사상을 독창적으로 창시하고 혁명과 건설의 새로운 길을 개척한 과학적인 혁명론이라고 강변하고 있으나, 理論의 展開와 實踐의 過程에서 마르크스-레닌주의와 스탈린주의 그리고 모택동 사상을 援用하거나 오히려 본질을 我田引水式으로 왜곡시켜 북한의 정치경제적 현실에 적합한 형태로 변형하여 통치이데올로기 구축을 위한 도구로 사용되고 있음을 비판할 수 있다. 그러면 김일성이 사망한 지금 주체사상은 북한의 통치이데올로기로서 이상없이 기능할 수 있을 것인가. 이것이 북한이 안고 있는 딜레마이며 국내의적으로 최대의 관심사이다. 최근 사회주의권의 변화가 초래한 대내외적 위기와 경제파탄을 모면하기 위하여, 그리고 정치권력의 변화에 대한 개연성과 더불어 주체사상의 또 다른 변용은 불가피할 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 지금까지 살펴 본 바와 같이 주체사상은 북한의 이론가들이 때에 따라 부분적인 수정은 시도해 왔으나 북한의 체제가 존속하는 한 위와 같은 본질은 결코 변하지 않을 것임을 알 수 있다. 김일성의 주체사상의 형성과정에서 나타나는, 신격화된 존재로서 김일성을 찬양하고 절대복종하기 위한 도구에 지나지 않음을 지적할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 이것은 김일성 個人崇拜를 정당화하고 합리화시켜주는 것은 물론 권력의 父子世襲을 옹호하고 절대적으로 支持하도록 하는 방편으로 활용되는 것을 쉽게 알 수 있다.

Shield Disk 상의 Ag-Cu 공정계 합금 도금기술 개발

The composition and the microstructure of the Ag-Cu alloy electrodeposits electroplated in Succinimide bath were investigated varying the electrolysis conditions such as bath composition, current density and additive agents etc. The cathode overpotential increased with the increase of Succinimide concentration and current density ratio in the bath. The Ag content of the alloy deposits decreased with the increase of current density and pH and temperature in the bath. The optimum condition for 78wt.%Ag-22wt.%Cu code position alloy is an follows : pH10(adjusted by NH_4OH), 0.03M AgNO_3, 0.27M Cu(NO_3)_2 3H_2O, 0.5M Succinimide in bath and 3.5A/dm^2∼5.5A/dm^2 current density.
