        $CH_4-CO_2$혼합가스로부터 PECVD법에 의한 DLC 박막 증착에 관한 연구

        DLC 박막을 RF 플라즈마 화학증착법(PECVD)을 이용하여 CH4와 CO2기체로부터 합성하였다. 증착압력, CH4와 CO2가스의 조성비, 바이어스 전압(-VB) 등의 증착조건 변화에 따른 증착속도는 증착층의 두께를 알파스텝으로 측정하여 결정하였으며, 박막의 구조 변화에 따른 증착속도는 증착층의 두께를 알파스텝으로 측정하여 결정하였으며, 박막의 구조 변화는 FTIR 분광분석을 이용하여 분석을 행하였다. 이 연구로부터 얻은 실험 결과는 다음과 같다: 1) 증착속도는 증착압력 및 바이어스 전압의 증가에 따라 증가한다. 2)바이어스 전압 300V이상에서, CO2량 증가는 순증착속도를 증가 시킨다. 3) 순수한 CH4가스를 사용할 경우에는 바이어스전압(-VB)이 증가함에 따라 박막내 수소의 함량과 sp3/sp2비는 감소하는 경향을 나타낸다. 4)증착압력이 증가함에 따라 박막내 수소함량은 증가하며, sp3/sp2비는 감소한다. 5)50mTorr의 증착압력에 증착시, CH4-+Co2 혼합가스에서 이산화탄소의 부피분율에 따라서는 박막내 수소함량은 감소하며, sp3/sp2비는 증가한다.

      • TiC 피복초경공구위에 화학증착에 의한 AI₂O₃의 내마모피복에 관한 연구

        Aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) was deposited onto TiC coated tools by means of chemical vapour deposition (CVD) using AlCl₃, CO₂and H₂gas mixture. In order to compare the wear rate of TiC-Al₂O₃coated cutting tools with that of TiC coated cutting tools, wear test was carried out varying with cutting velocity. The effects of deposition paramenter and cutting velocity on the frank wear rate were investigated The experimental results were as follows; i) The deposition rate remained constant with deposition time. ii) It is postulated that the deposition rate below 1000℃ was controlled by surface reaction. iii) As cutting velocity increased, the frank wear rate of TiC-Al₂O₃coated cutting tools markely decreased against that of TiC coated cutting tools.

        삼원계 상호확산 계수 계산을 위한 전산 프로그램

        A computer program has been developed for the calculation of inter diffusion coefficients from the experimental data of the infinite diffusion couples having continuous diffusion paths in ternary systems. Introducing the least square method for the smooth curve fitting to experimental data over again, one can minimize the shock of inevitable experimental errors to the results of numerical calculation. Using the second integration method of Boltzmann-Matano's equation, one obtains that the value of numerical calculation is more accurate than that of graphical calculation at extremely lower or upper concentrations especially.

        아연도금강판의 점용접성에 미치는 용접조건의 영향

        Spot welding, a kind of electric resistance welding, is a welding method widely used for automobile, aircraft, and appliance industry. By measuring and observing tensile shear strength of spot welding specimens, alloying degree of electrode tips, and nugget cross section under various welding conditions, we have the following results; 1) The spot weldability of the galvanized steel sheet increases with the welding current within the range of 8-11 KA. 2) For a high current density spot welding, the Al₂O₃-Cu electrode tip was better than the Cr-Cu electrode tip on the spot weldability. 3) Electrode tip pressure did not affected the spot weldability, in the tested pressure range (200∼300Kgf).

        산화 산처리법에 의한 폐초경공구로 부터의 코발트금속 회수에 관한 연구

        In order to recover cobalt from the waste WC-Co alloys, the oxidation & acid leaching process has been studied. In the oxidation under air at various temperatures, the maximum oxidation was achieved at 900℃. For given composition of alloy, the rate of oxidation was more or less constant with the extent of reaction time but the higher the cobalt content of alloys, the faster the oxidation rate was observed. After a complete oxidation, the hardmetals were easily crushed into powder form, followed by leaching of cobalt by HC1. The rate of leaching was increased with increasing reaction temperature and also the concentration of HC1.

        In order to study the fatigue properties of welded materials, the structual steel plates were welded by submarged are welding and annealed at 600, 700 and 900℃ for releasing of residual stresses. The obtained results are summarized as follows; 1. The fatigue limit of welded steel annealed at 800℃ had shown the largest value among those of the other temperatures. 2. The endurance ratio of thewelded steel which was stress-relieved at 800℃ had the highest value. 3. The fatigue crack propagation rate of welded steel annealed at 800℃ was slower than those annealed at the other temperatures.

      • 화학 증착법(CVD)에 의한 고속도강 위에 TiN의 피복에 관한 연구

        Titanium nitride(TiN) coatings were deposited on a High-Speed-Steel(SKH9) substrate by chemical vaper deposition(CVD) using the TiCl₄, H₂, and N₂gas mixtures. The effect of the deposition temperature, the H₂/N₂input ratio, the TiCl₄partial pressure, and the deposition time on the deposition rate, the surface morphology and microhardness of the TiN coatings were investigated The experimental results indicate that the deposition rate is increased almost linearly with an increase in the deposition temperature and the partial pressure of TiCl₄. The grain size of the TiN coatings is increased with an increase in the deposition temperature and the H₂/N₂ratio, But that of the TiN coatings is reduced with an increase in the TiCl₄partial pressure. When the deposition temperature is lower than 1000℃, the TiN deposition reaction is controlled by the surface reaction. At the temperature above 1000℃ the reaction is controlled by the mass transport. The apparrent activation energies are 8.6kcal/mole and 21.8kcal/mole respectively. The microhardness has close relation with the surface morphology and stoichiometric ranges of TiN coatings.

        용융된 은-동 합금내에 수소의 침투

        용융 은-동 합금 내 수소 흡수 속도를 steady state gas-liquid metal diffusion cell technique을 이용하여 측정하였다. Fick의 제일 법칙의 변형된 식을 이용하여 수소 permeability (R_H)를 계산하였다. 개스 흡수속도는 용융 금속 내 수소의 확산에 의하여 지배됨을 알았다. 1000℃에서부터 1160℃의 온도 범위에서 용융 은-동 합금에 있어서 수소의 permeability들은 다음과 같은 Arrhenious type equations으로 표시된다. R_H pure Ag=5.47×10^(-4)exp{(-16872.9±700.0)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-1% Cu alloy=2.27×10^(-4)exp{(-13859.6±1068.7)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-3% Cu alloy=2.16×10^(-4)exp{(-13227.8±673.9)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-5% Cu alloy=2.15×10^(-4)exp{(-12719.6±1351.4)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-7% Cu alloy=1.79×10^(-4)exp{(-11909.7±1565.6)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec 은 동 합금 내에 동의 양이 많아짐에 따라 수소의 permeability는 증가하며 활성화 에너지는 감소한다. The rate of absorption of hydrogen in stagnant liquid silver-copper alloys has been measured using a steady state gas-liquid metal diffusion cell technique. The appropriate solution of Fick's first law has been used to calculate the hydrogen permeability (R_H). The rate of hydrogen dissolution in liquid silver-copper alloys has been found to be controlled by diffusion of hydrogen in liquid metal. Permeabilities of hydrogen in liquid silver-copper alloys in the temperature range of 1000℃ to 1160℃ can be described by the following Arrhenious type equations; R_H pure Ag=5.47×10^(-4)exp{(-16872.9±700.0)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-1% Cu alloy=2.27×10^(-4)exp{(-13859.6±1068.7)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-3% Cu alloy=2.16×10^(-4)exp{(-13227.8±673.9)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-5% Cu alloy=2.15×10^(-4)exp{(-12719.6±1351.4)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec R_H Ag-7% Cu alloy=1.79×10^(-4)exp{(-11909.7±1565.6)/RT} wt% ㎠/sec The permeability of hydrogen in liquid silver-copper alloys increased and the activation energy of permeation of hydrogen decreased with increasing copper concentration at constant temperature.
