        시군통합 원주시 내의 의료서비스 이용의 변이

        This study intends to examine the behavioral pattern and small area variations of health service utilization within Wonju city. We selected three small areas in Wonju city as the study site: Haksung-dong(central area of the city), Moonmak-myun (industrial area which is located 25km away from the center of the city), and Gure-myun (agricultural area which is located 32km away from the center). The data were collected by administering questionnaire interviews with 526 people in three areas. The questionnaire include the items on health service utilization behaviors, sociodemographic characteristics, health status, and perceptions. The statistical methods used for the analysis were ANOVA and hierarchical logistic regression. From the analysis, it was found that there was a variation of health service utilization by areas. Compared to those of other areas, the respondents from agricultural area showed a high probability of using health services. When respondents' personal characteristics were taken into account, the effect of dummy variables representing areas disappeared. Instead, the perceived health status became the prime factor of health service utilization. This result showed that the small area variations of health service utilization is due to the demand factor rather than the supply factor.

        비염 레이저 치료환자의 만족도

        The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the allergic rhinitis patients' satisfaction with laser surgery. The data were collected by telephone interviews with 211 patients who visited I university hospital. The statistical methods used for the analysis were factor analysis, reliability test, and hierarchical multiple regression. We find that satisfaction level is a function of not only the surgery outcome but also the socio-psychological experience during treatment. With the improvement in nasal allergic condition, patients were more likely to be satisfied with medical services. And patients who had positive experience with physicians and facilities reported higher satisfaction level. While the surgery outcome explained 68% of the variation of satisfaction level, socio-psychological experience explained 23% of it. This result clearly shows that physicians need to pay attention to the socio-psychological aspect as well as the technical aspect of medical services.

        국내외 JCI 인증병원의 웹사이트 비교 분석

        The purpose of this study is to compare the characteristics of hospital websites across four nations(e.g., South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and India). We selected English websites of 58 hospitals with JCI accreditation. For the analysis of websites, we developed assessment tool with four domains(e.g., contents, convenience, design, interactivity). The results showed that Korean hospitals provided more channels for appointment on the website compared to other countries. In contrast, foreign hospitals used actively SNS(e.g., Facebook, Twitter or Youtube) on the websites. They also provided more information on diverse services(e.g., airport pickup services, treatment costs, consultation services).

        방한 의료관광객의 정보요구도 및 만족도 연구

        한국은 2009년 의료관광을 국가의 신성장동력산업으로 선정하여 외국인 환자 유치활성화를 위해 정부차원에서 뒷받침을 해왔다. 그 결과 의료관광을 목적으로 한국을 찾는 외국인 환자가 증가하였고, 중국과 러시아 환자가 상위를 차지하고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 중국인 환자와 러시아 환자의 한국에서의 체험을 알아보고, 이들이 원하는 정보 요구와 체험한 활동의 만족도를 국적별로 파악하였다. 자료는 2015년 2월 1일부터 3월 15일까지 방한하여 의료서비스를 받은 중국, 러시아 국적의 환자를 대상으로 하였고, 유치 등록기관을 통해 우편조사를 실시하였다. 경험 측면에서는 중국은 뷰티제품이나 피부관련 제품을, 러시아 환자는 식료품 구매나 웰니스 관련 서비스를 더 많이 체험하였고, 두 국적 모두는 한국전통음식을 가장 많이 체험하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 뷰티제품에 대한 정보 요구도가 높았으며, 중국인이 한국전통음식에 대해 많은 정보를 얻기를 원하였다. 관광명소 방문경험에서 만족도가 높았고, 그 다음은 의료경험이었다. 전반적인 만족도는 러시아 환자가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 중국, 러시아 외국인환자들의 실제 체험, 정보요구, 만족도를 확인하였으며, 추후 이를 반영한 컨텐츠를 개발하는 것이 의료관광객 유치에 도움이 될 것이다. In Korea, management support has been given at the government level for activities to attract foreign patients. China and Russia ranked on top of the lists for in-bound medical tourists. The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of medical tourists in Korea, the demand for information, and the level of satisfaction regarding their experiences. 100 cases of medical tourists from China and Russia were collected through the mail survey. While Chinese used beauty, skin-care related products, Russian experienced the grocery shopping and wellness related services. Most patients from both nationalities experienced the traditional food in Korea and wanted to know about beauty products. Chinese wanted to get more information about Korean traditional food Russian. Finally, Russian showed higher overall satisfaction scores than Chinese respondents. If we reflect these results as a contents, it can be useful to attract foreign patients.

        의료기관의 러시아 의료관광객 유치 준비실태

        The purpose of this study is to examine the preparation of medical institutions for Russian medical tourists. The data for this study include 44 cases which were selected from Korea Health Industry Development Institute list. Data were collected through the e-mail survey from Feb. 24 to Jul. 1 in 2014. The results of the study are as follows. Overall, tertiary hospitals were well prepared in hardware resources and structure(e.g. the number of coordinators and marketers, accreditation)compared to hospitals and clinics. On the other hand, hospitals were well prepared in service process protocol.

        의료관광 유치기관 종사자의 문화적 역량 : 서울시 의료기관 사례

        국제적으로 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 산업중 하나인 의료관광은, 현재 많은 국가들의 신성장동력으로 간주되고 있다. 의료관광에서 인적자원은 핵심성공요인 중의 하나로 꼽히며, 특히 이들의 문화적 역량이 중요하다. 기존의 국내 연구들은 주로 의료관광의 주요성공과 활성화 요인으로 마케팅 전략과 정책에 대한 내용을 다루었지, 문화 이슈를 다루지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 1) 해외환자 유치 의료기관 종사자의 문화적 역량 수준을 하위차원별로 비교분석하고, 2) 의료기관 종사자의 사회인구학적 특성과 조직의 특성에 따른 문화적 역량의 차이를 분석한 후, 3) 문화적 역량에 대한 인과모델을 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구를 위해 서울소재의 의료관광 유치기관 중 20개소 의료기관의 종사자 124명을 대상으로 한 달간 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문화적 역량의 5개 하위요인별 수준을 비교분석 한 결과, 배타성 점수가 가장 낮게 나타나서, 이 문화적 역량 수준이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 타문화 존중감, 경시성, 우월성, 자만심의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 해외거주경험과 외국어 구사능력이 있는 경우 문화적 역량이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 의료관광 교육의 문화적 역량에 대한 효과가 일관되지 않았다. 넷째, 의료기관의 유형에 따른 문화적 역량의 차이가 있었다. 의원의 경우 병원에 비해 문화적 역량이 높았다. 이 연구가 시사하는 바는 첫째, 의료와 문화에 대한 교육컨텐츠가 개발되어야 하겠고, 둘째는 의료관광 전문인력에 대한 채용기준의 재설정이 필요하다는 것이다. 추후 연구에는 다른 지역과 여러 분야에서의 문화적 역량 수준이 분석되어야 하겠다. Medical Tourism has emerged as new growth engine for many countries. With globalization of medical tourism, human resource became one of the critical success factors. However, past studies which focused on the medical tourism policy and the marketing strategy failed to identify the cultural competence of healthcare providers. This study aims to (1) identify the level of global healthcare providers` cultural competence and to (2) find out the factors (socio-demographic characteristics, organizational characteristics) influencing the cultural competence. We used the questionnaire survey method for data collection. The questionnaires contained 2 categories(organizational characteristics and socio-demographic characteristics). We interviewed 124 employees of medical institutions. We used the regression analysis method to predict the cultural competence. By using MANOVA, we found the difference in the level of competence among the subcomponents(self-conceit, superiority, respect for other cultures, disregard). Regression analysis showed that overseas experience, fluency of foreign language, medical tourism education and type of medical institution influenced the cultural competence. These results imply that we need to develop the training contents and methods to enhance the cultural competence.

        의료취약지 스마트의료에 대한 만족도와 요구도의 결정요인

        There are few domestic studies on medical services in medically vulnerable areas where medical use is not met due to a lack of medical resources. The past studies on smart medicine targeting medically vulnerable areas grasp only the overall satisfaction level, or the sub-dimensions of satisfaction are not classified clearly. Also, it lacks consideration of the patient’s needs. This study aims to analyze the effect of users’ experience of the smart medicine pilot project conducted in medically vulnerable areas on satisfaction and demand. The user’s experience was measured by variables in the dimensions of structure, process, and outcome. Among the pilot project participants, 282 subjects responded to the 2019 survey. Using the hierarchical regression method, we tried to find out the determinants of satisfaction and service demands. Experience factors affecting satisfaction were found to be accessibility, certainty, effectiveness, and efficiency. In addition, it was found that the demand in their 60s was high and that accessibility, certainty, effectiveness, and efficiency had a statistically significant effect on the demand. It is expected that the smart medicine pilot project will be effectively operated by well utilizing the factors influencing satisfaction and demand revealed in this study.

        경영혁신동향 : 외국인 환자 유치를 위한 지원 및 마케팅 방안: 서비스믹스를 활용한 브랜드 마케팅

        Medical tourism in Korea has been rapidly grown for last couple of years, based on exclusive support from Korean government. About 60,000 foreign patients received medial services in 2009, an initial stage of entering medical tourism business, and the number of foreign patients received medical services in Korea hiked to more than 266 thousands in 2014, which is showing 34.7% of annual average increase between 2009 and 2014. Diversification of target markets and service areas contributed on this remarkable growth. This paper describes current status of medical tourism in Korea as well as various supports from government for the growth of medical tourism. In addition, the paper presents approaches for brand marketing, by utilizing 7Ps, the marketing mix (a.k.a. service mix), in order to increase awareness and competitiveness of medical services of Korea in global market.

        코로나-19 관련 감염률과 치명률의 결정요인: 95개국 사례연구

        During the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the western countries with advanced medical technology failed to contain coronavirus. This fact triggered our research question of what factors influence the clinical outcomes like infection rates and case mortality rates. This study aims to identify the determinants of COVID-19 related infection rates and case mortality rates. We considered three sets of independent variables: 1) socio-demographic characteristics; 2) cultural characteristics; 3) healthcare system characteristics. For the analysis, we created an international dataset from diverse sources like World Bank, Worldometers, Hofstede Insight, GHS index etc. The COVID-19 related statistics were retrieved from Aug. 1. Total cases are from 95 countries. We used hierarchical regression method to examine the linear relationship among variables. We found that obesity, uncertainty avoidance, hospital beds per 1,000 made a significant influence on the standardized COVID-19 infection rates. The countries with higher BMI score or higher uncertainty avoidance showed higher infection rates. The standardized COVID-19 infection rates were inversely related to hospital beds per 1,000. In the analysis on the standardized COVID-19 case mortality rates, we found that two cultural characteristics(e.g., individualism, uncertainty avoidance) showed statistically significant influence on the case mortality rates. The healthcare system characteristics did not show any statistically significant relationship with the case mortality rates. The cultural characteristics turn out to be significant factors influencing the clinical outcomes during COVID-19 pandemic. The results imply that the persuasive communication is important to trigger the public commitment to follow preventive measures. The strategy to keep the hospital surge capacity needs to be developed.

      • 사회복지 행정전산화를 위한 제언

        이 글의 목적은 현재의 행정업무에 대한 구체적인 분석 및 평가에 준하여 행정전산화의 방향에 대한 하나의 시험적인 제언을 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 현재의 행정업무를 종적업무와 횡적업무의 두가지로 구분하여, 그 구체적인 업무진행 과정을 도식을 통해 살펴 보았다. 이 분석을 통해 결국 단순 반족적인 작업이 행정업무의 상당 부분을 차지하고 있고, 과다한 자료 제출요구에 따란 시간적, 경제적 낭비의 여지가 있다는 문제가 지적되었다. 또한, 부서간에도 여러 연계되어 있는 업무가 많기에, 정책결정이 신속하게 이루어지기 위해서는 부서간에 필요한 자료에의 수월하고 신속한 접근이 보장되어야 한다는 필요성이 대두되었다. 따라서, 기준 행정처리 방식의 비효율성과 같은 한계를 극복하기 위해서는, 신청절차와 보고절차를 컴퓨터 네트웤 형성을 통해 전산화해야하고, 자료의 정확하고 신속한 산출을 위해 관련 자료의 데이타 베이스 구축을 해야 할 것이다. The main purpose of this study is to suggest the future direction of management information system at the Department of Health and Social Welfare. To this end, I analyze the work flow at the Department. This analysis suggests us that the following three sub-systems are necessary for MIS: 1) vertical information network; 2) horizontal information network; and 3) information center.
