      • Near-real time Kp forecasting methods based on neural network and support vector machine

        We have compared near-real time Kp forecast models based on neural network (NN) and support vector machine (SVM) algorithms. We consider four models as follows: (1) a NN model using ACE solar wind data; (2) a SVM model using ACE solar wind data; (3) a NN model using ACE solar wind data and preliminary kp values from US ground-based magnetometers; (4) a SVM model using the same input data as model 3. For the comparison of these models, we estimate correlation coefficients and RMS errors between the observed Kp and the predicted Kp. As a result, we found that the model 3 is better than the other models. The values of correlation coefficients and RMS error of the model 3 are 0.93 and 0.48, respectively. For the forecast evaluation of models for geomagnetic storms ($Kp{\geq}6$), we present contingency tables and estimate statistical parameters such as probability of detection yes (PODy), false alarm ratio (FAR), bias, and critical success index (CSI). From a comparison of these statistical parameters, we found that the SVM models (model 2 and model 4) are better than the NN models (model 1 and model 3). The values of PODy and CSI of the model 4 are the highest among these models (PODy: 0.57 and CSI: 0.48). From these results, we suggest that the NN models are better than the SVM models for predicting Kp and the SVM models are better than the NN models for forecasting geomagnetic storms.

        주거복지상담 현장의 실태분석과 활성화 방안

        This study is based on a survey of welfare counselling services provision, including best practice, current issues and suggestions for ways to improve housing welfare. For this study, 20 facilities providing housing welfare consulting and 26 people actually doing the consulting at those facilities were surveyed. The high-level findings of this study include: 1. Lower level local governments should be the frontline in providing housing welfare consulting services as they have the capability to provide greater accessibility to such services for those in need and deliver sustainable housing welfare benefits responsibly; 2. Housing welfare consulting has a wide scope and requires a high level of expertise. For this reason, the Counseling Service Providers have a great need for field training and capacity building. In this regard, certified housing welfare professionals may offer a viable solution. 3. In terms of best practice, the qualities required for Consulting Service Providers include professional knowledge, communication skills, understanding of those seeking Consulting, and the capability to check the progress in consulting and follow up.

        ‘좀’의 기능에 대한 기능화용론적 분석

        Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit besteht darin, die Diskursfunktion von ‘jom’, das die verschiedenen Diskursfunktionen hat, aus funktional-pragmatischer Sicht zu analysieren. Die Diversifizierung der Funktionen sprachlicher Ausdrücke wurde als das Ergebnis des Sprachwandels betrachtet, und die Diskursfunktion wurde aus den inhärenten d.h. lexikalischen Merkmalen der sprachlichen Ausdrücke für die systematische Analyse, die dem Wesen des sprachlichen Handelns nahe kommt, geklärt. Aus funktional-pragmatischer Sicht wurde ‘jom’ von der Durchführung der nennenden Prozedur auf die Durchführung der operativen Prozedur funktionalisiert. Die Interviewdaten wurden zur Analyse der Funktionen von ‘jom’ ausgewertet. Dadurch konnten vier Funktionen, nämlich, Einschränkung des semantischen Grades des folgenden sprachlichen Handelns (nennende Prozedur), Schwächung des sprachlichen Handelns (operative Prozedur), Hervorhebung des sprachlichen Handelns (operative Prozedur) und Einleitung des sprachlichen Handelns (operative Prozedur) festgestellt werden. ‘jom’, das die operative Prozedur durchführt, erhöht die Wirkung des sprachlichen Handelns, indem es die Illokution vom sprachlichen Handeln schwächt oder vorhergehendes sprachliches Handeln betont. Zudem verbindet sich ‘jom’, das die operative Prozedur durchführt, auf natürliche Weise mit neu einleitendem sprachlichem Handeln und trägt zur konstruktiven Ebene des sprachlichen Handelns bei.

        주민주도형 아파트 커뮤니티 사업의 활성화 방안 - 서울시 아파트 커뮤니티 활성화 공모사업을 중심으로 -

        This study aims to understand the current state of a community project in Seoul and to determine a revitalization plan for community projects of inhabitants initiative. Regarding the research methods, 10 apartments that participated in this activation project in Seoul were selected, 31 residents who participated in community activities were surveyed, and 20 community planners in Seoul were surveyed. The results indicate that community leaders are the most important factor in community programs. community leaders must be able to promote participation and a spirit of service; they must also be capable of managing and implementing programs. To ensure that local community resources are utilized and integrated, it was shown that consultation and human resources are of the highest necessity. Moreover, regarding community education, it was shown that for providing general opportunities and means by which community activities may be implemented, program information and space applications are crucial. Furthermore, financial support and support for public relations activities from the government are necessary. To activate apartment communities, first, community education programs for residents must be provided. Second, a system that facilitates access to and sharing of resources from areas outside the community must be established. Third, financial support should be consistent to support community activities. Finally, the promotion of community vitalization at the government level is necessary.

      • 도시여성노인의 주거환경 실태와 만족도

        This study was made to investigate the residential conditions and residents' satisfaction of the elderly women in urban ares and to suggest the better housing environment for elderly. Statistical methods using SPSS/PC+ program for analysis were Chi-square test. One way ANOVA, t-test, multiple regression and logistic regression. The major findings were follows; 1) The respondents believed that the children have the obligation of their parents. And health was thier major concern. 2) The degree of the home ownership was 50.3% and the majority of elderly women lived in apartments(40.0%) sharing space with family except bedroom, they wanted to have private bathroom. 3) The residential satisfaction was influenced by the age and health on statistically significant level. These findings should be considered in the community assisted living projects for the single poor elderly women in poor health conditions.

        수도권 여성노인의 아파트 인식과 주거규범의 변화

        The purpose of this study was to examine the change in apartments since the entry into the housing market after marriage till the present in eight elderly women in terms of housing type, size, ownership type, quality, and neighborhood environment. In the course of the change, the role and influence of women and the perception of the apartment as a residence for old age were investigated with an in-depth interview. The Results of the study were as follow; The survey respondents preferred apartments and shifted to bigger ones. They strived for ownership and sometimes moved to a new town for a better apartment. They wish to live in an apartment even in their old age and stay in a small apartment of their own. They still preferred apartment as residences in later stage of their lives, reflecting their hope for aging in place. Even after their first home ownership, women continued to change residence so that their asset values increased along with their confidence and their scope of decision-making at home also expanded. During their residential shifts, women actively chose a better apartment structure and quality, leading to quality improvement of the apartments on the whole. 본 연구는 여성노인 8명을 대상으로 결혼 후 주택시장에 진입한 이후부터 현재까지 아파트에서의 거주경험의 변화를 주거유형, 규모, 소유형태, 질, 근린환경 측면에서 살펴보는 것이다. 그리고 그 변화과정에 있어 여성의 역할 및 영향력과 노후의 주거로서 아파트에 대한 견해를 심층면접 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 조사대상자들은 아파트를 선호하며 규모를 늘려가며 주거이동을 하였다. 그리고 소유를 지향하였으며 질적으로 더 나은 아파트를 선택하여 신도시로 이주하기도 하였다. 노후에도 아파트에 살기 원하며 지금보다는 다운사이징의 자가에서 거주하고자 하였다. 여성노인들은 내 집 마련이후에도 계속해서 자가로 주거이동하며 자산을 늘려 자신감과 가정 내에서 의사결정권이 커졌다. 여성은 더 나은 아파트 구조와 질을 선택하며 질적 성장을 이끌었다.
