척추전방전위증 환자와 추간판탈출증 환자의 요부근 기능과 굴곡/신전근 비율에 관한 비교연구

The Purpose of this study was to compare the lumbar strength and lumbar flexor/extensor ratio between spondylolisthesis and herniated disc patients. The patients who had a subacute low back pain have been proved to each disease through MRI and we measured the maximal isometric strength of all patients(28) through MedX lumbar extension machine(Ocala, FL). In all patients, males had higher lumbar extensor strength than that of females. Especially, the spondylolisthesis patients had lower lumbar extensor strength than that of herniated disc patients. The statistical significant(p<.05, p<.01) differences were manifested in $48^{\circ},\;60^{\circ}\;and\;72^{\circ}$ between male groups. Also the statistical significant (p<.05) differences were manifested in $60^{\circ}\;and\;72^{\circ}$between female groups. In the lumbar flexor/ extensor ratio, the males of spondylolisthesis groups represented the functional weakness in the flexed portion of the range of motion, and the females of spondylolisthesis and the all patients of herniated disc represented the functional weakness in the extended portion of the range of motion. In conclusion, we may propose the program such that the spondylolisthesis males must increase the ratio of extended portion exercise, and the spondylolisthesis females and herniated disc patients must increase the ratio of flexed portion exercise.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in physique, physical fitness and isokinetic strength of Forward(FW=10) and Defense(DF=9) in Korean professional ice hockey players. The subjects selected for this study were composed of nineteen male professional ice hockey players. They didn`t have any previous medical or physical problems. They were measured physique, body composition, physical fitness and isokinetic knee strength test. All of data were analyzed utilizing independent t-test by SPSS 10.0. The level of statistical significance was set at p<.05. On the basis of the results analyzed in this study, the conclusion was as follow: 1. The variables of body composition were no significant differences between ice hockey FW players and DF players. 2. In physique variables, the height of ice hockey DF players was significant higher than FW players and remainders of physique variables were no significant differences between both groups. 3. The level of physical fitness variables were no significant differences between ice hockey FW players and DF players. 4. In knee isokinetic strength test, the peak torques of flexor and extensor in a left knee joint of ice hockey between DF and FW players were not significant different, but the peak torques of flexor and extensor in a right knee joint of ice hockey DF players were significantly higher than those of FW players. In conclusion, ice hockey players have the difference in physique and isokinetic knee strength between FW and DF players. Therefore, it is very important that the player should be trained up considering their characteristics according to the players` position.
재활운동치료가 견관절 손상 야구투수들의 주관적 통증정도와 등속성 외전/내전력에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of pain degrees and musculoarticulation functions in 8 baseball pitchers with shoulder joint injuries after the 12 week rehabilitative exercise therapy. 1. Before the rehabilitative exercise therapy, the pain degrees felt at the shoulder involved side were 2.87(±0.64), which showed between `severe` and `fair`. But it decreased after the 12 week rehabilitative exercise therapy. According to the pain scale, the 2nd(14.63%), 4th(29.26%), 6th(29.96%), 8th(60.97%), 10th(64.45%) and 12th(65.16%)weeks were decreased. However, only the 8th(60.97%), 10th(64.45%) and 12th(65.16%)weeks were statistically significant decreased and the pain degree in last 12th week was presented `no or mild pain`. 2. Before the rehabilitative exercise therapy, the musculoarticulation functions of the shoulder involved side was very decreased than the uninvolved side. But most of these variables were increased after the rehabilitative exercise therapy. The PT and PTBW of involved side abductor at 60d/sec were significantly increased 31.49%, 28.57% respectively. The PT and PTBW of involved side adductor at 60d/sec were significantly increased 38.65%, 36.14%. The PT and PTBW of involved side abductor at 180d/sec were significantly increased 26.75%, 24.33% respectively. And the acceleration time was significantly decreased 25%. The PT and PTBW of involved side adductor at 180d/sec were significantly increased 37.09%, 34.15% respectively. And the acceleration time was significantly decreased 28.57%. The PTBW of involved side abductor at 300d/sec was significantly increased 55.88%. The PT and PTBW of involved side adductor at 300d/sec were significantly increased 38.95%, 36.33% respectively. And the acceleration time was significantly decreased 41.66%. In conclusion, the rehabilitative exercise therapy performing during 12 weeks in this study was affected positive changes of pain degrees and muscular function in injured baseball pitchers. Therefore we think that the rehabilitative exercise therapy of this study seems to be available method for baseball pitchers with shoulder joint injuries.
코어 안정화 운동이 테니스 동호인의 평형력 및 동적균형능력에 미치는 영향

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of core stability exercises on the counter balance and dynamic balance ability of tennis club members and to provide the basic data for developing the training methods for improving the athletic performance and injury prevention through physical imbalance. METHODS: In order to achieve these goals, 12 subjects who are currently registered as a player in the having 5 years or more athletic career. As a result of observing improvements on counter balance and dynamic balance ability using the core stability exercises, the following conclusion was derived. RESULTS: As for the counter balance ability, there were no significant differences between pre- and post-values in the exercise group after completing the core stabilization program. As for the dynamic balance ability, there were significant differences between pre- and post-values in the exercise group, except for down (D) postures, whereas, there were no changes or decreases between pre- and post-values in the control group after completing the core stabilization program. Meanwhile, in the aspect of comparisons between post-values in both groups, there were significant improvements in up-right (UR), right (R), down-right (DR), down/left (DL), left (L), up/left (UL) and overall dynamic scores (OVE) of the exercise group. In the aspect of comparisons between post-values in both groups, there were significant improvements in only the exercise group. CONCLUSIONS: When concluding the results of this study, it was found that core stability exercises was an effective exercise in the improvement of counter balance and dynamic balance ability of tennis club members. In addition, in order to have precise and stable movements through stabilization of position improvement of physical imbalance, it is thought to require a suitable training development for tennis club members along with repetitive training.
운동 전 흡연 유,무에 따른 %SO₂, 무산소성 역치 및 심폐운동능력의 비교연구

Cigarette smoking is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease, cancer, hypertension and premature mortality. The purpose of this study is to examine the responses of %SO2, anaerobic threshold & cardiorespiratory capacities during the exercise according to cigarette smoking and nonsmoking on smokers. The subjects of this research were 16 healthy men, subjects were randomly treat into two methodology; smoking treatment and non-smoking treatment at interval of one week. The statistical analysis indicated that non-smoking treatment had significantly higher at the %SO2(97.81 vs 94.25), Maximal oxygen consumption(56.25±6.27㎖/kg/min vs. 53.20±5.87㎖/kg/min), anaerobic threshold(30.60±4.08㎖/kg/min vs. 28.15±3.62㎖/kg/min) and exercise duration time(836.69±73.97sec vs. 804.13±84.85sec) compare to smoking treatment. The results suggest that the acute cigarette smoking before exercising contribute negative effects on pulmonary function, aerobic power and peripheral blood flow. In conclusion, the cigarette smoking before exercising decrease approximately 1MET in maximum oxygen consumption.
복합운동이 비만 남성의 신체구성과 등속성 근기능 및 신경전도속도에 미치는 영향

This study is to investigate the effects of combined exercise on body composition, isokinetic moments, and nerve conduction in the obese adult. The participants were divided into two groups: exercise group (EG, n=10) and control group (CG, n=10). The EG took part in the combined exercise program for 16 weeks. The results of this study are as follows: As for the body composition, there were significant decrease in body weight, body mass index and body fat percentage, whereas there were significant increase in skeletal muscle in EG. As for the isokinetic moments, there were significant increase in the extensors and flexors of dominant and non-dominant sides in EG. As for the nerve conduction, there were significant increase in onset latency and amplitude of superficial peroneal nerve and sural nerve in EG. Moreover, there were significant increase in amplitude and velocity of common peroneal nerve in EG. There also were significant increase in onset latency, amplitude, and velocity of tibial nerve in EG. As conclusions, this study confirmed that the combined exercise program could improve the body composition, isokinetic moment, and nerve conduction of obese adult.
슬관절의 등장성 최대근력(IRM)과 등속성 최대회전력간의 비교연구

The purpose of this study was to compare the maximum strengths, the flexor and extensor ratios, and left and right differences between the isotonic maximum strength(IRM) and the isokinetic peak torque at the knee joint. The subjects of the experiment were consisted of early twenties male university students in Seoul Korea without disabilities. The average age of subjects was 21.70 with ±3.34 deviations. The results of this study were shown as followed : 1. The correlation of extensor between test machines showed r=.676(p<.001) on left, and r=.600(p<.01) on right. Flexor showed r=.770(p<.001) on left, and r=.674(p<.001) on right. The significance statistically showed high correlations between isotonic one repetition maximum and isokinetic peak torque. 2. The deviations of strengths between left and right muscles were not significantly different on both test machines. 3. The differences between flexor and extensor ratios were not significantly different on both test machines. The results of these data suggests that IRM of isotonic test was predicted factors of isokinetic peak torque. Thus, we hope the field exercise specialists to reference for management of exercise participants.
