Lift-off 공정에 의하여 Si-tip FEA를 제조하고 그 동작 특성을 평가하였다. 게이트 및 양극 전압에 따른 방출 전류의 변화, 최대 방출 전류, 히스테리시스 현상, MOSFET형 특성, 전류 표동, 방출된 전자에 의한 형광체 발광, 그리고 소자의 파괴 메카니즘 등이 실험 결과를 토대로 하여 폭 넓게 평가, 분석되었다. Si-tip FEAs were fabricated by a lift-off based process and their operating properties were evaluated. The dependence of emission current on applied gate and anode voltages, maximum emission current, hysteresis phenomena, MOSFET-type curves, current fluctuation, light emission from the emitted electrons, and failure mechanism of the device were widely discussed based on the experimental results.
몰리브덴 팁 전계 방출 소자의 제조 및 다이아몬드 상 카본의 코팅효과

Mo-tip field emitter arrays(FEAs) were fabricated by conventional Spindt process and their life time characteristics and failure mode were evaluated. The fabricated Mo-tip FEA could generate at least $0.35\{mu} A/tip$ emission current for about 320 persistently under a constant gate bias of 140 V and was finally destroyed through self-healing mode. Thin diamond-like carbon films were coated on the M-tip by plasma-enhanced CVD and the dependence of emission properties upon the DLC thickness was investigated. By DLC coating, the turn-on voltage and emission current were appeared to be improved whereas the current fluctuation was increased in the DLC thickness range of $0~1,000\{AA}$.

Purpose: To investigate correlations between preoperative and postoperative foveal microstructures in patients with macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). Methods: We reviewed the records of 31 eyes from 31 patients with macula-off RRD who had undergone successful re-attachment surgery. We analyzed data obtained from complete ophthalmologic examinations and optical coherence tomography (OCT) before and 9 to 12 months after surgery. All postoperative OCT measurements were taken with spectral-domain OCT, but a subset of preoperative OCT measurements were taken with time-domain OCT. Results: The mean duration of macular detachment was 15.5 ± 15.2 days, and mean preoperative best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA, logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution) was 1.03 ± 0.68. Preoperative visual acuity was correlated with retinal detachment height (p < 0.001) and the existence of intraretinal separation (IRS) along with outer layer undulation (OLU) (p = 0.022), but not with macula-off duration. The final BCVA was significantly correlated with integrity of the junction between the photoreceptor inner and outer segments (IS/OS) combined with the continuity of external limiting membrane (ELM) (p = 0.025). The presence of IRS and OLU on a detached macula were highly correlated with the final postoperative integrity of the IS/OS junction and the ELM (p = 0.017). Conclusions: Eyes preoperatively exhibiting IRS and OLU showed a higher incidence of disruption to the photoreceptor IS/OS junction and the ELM at final follow-up. Such a close correlation between preoperative and postoperative structural changes may explain why ultimate visual recovery in such eyes is poor.
Photoluminescence and Electroluminescence of Carbazole-based Conjugated Dendritic Molecules

A novel class of conjugated dendritic molecules bearing N-hexyl-substituted carbazoles as peripheral groups and various conjugative aromatic cores was synthesized through Heck coupling and the Horner-Emmons reaction. A multi-layered structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS (30 nm)/emitting material (50 nm)/BCP (10 nm)/Alq3 (10 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm) was employed to evaluate the synthesized dendritic materials. The electroluminescence spectrum of the multilayered device made of 3Cz predominantly exhibited blue emissions. Similar emissions were observed in the PL spectra of it’s the device’s thin film. The multilayered devices made of 3Cz, 3BCz, and 4BCz showed luminance values of 6,250 cd m–2 at 24 V, 3,000 cd m–2 at 25 V, and 1,970 cd m–2 at 36 V, respectively. The smallest molecule, 3Cz, which bore three carbazole peripheral groups, exhibited a blue-like emission with CIE 1931 chromaticity coordi-nates of x = 0.17 and y = 0.21.
