Electrochemical micromachining which is not normally considered as a precision process is presented in this paper. The application of voltage pulses between a tool electrode and a workpiece in an electrochemical environment allows the three-dimensional machining of conducting materials with micrometer precision. In this paper tool-electrodes(5μm in diameter, l㎜ in length) are developed by electrochemical micromaching and micro holes are manufactured using this tool-electrodes we developed already. Micro holes are achieved the accuracy below 50μm in diameter using ultrashort voltage pulses(0.1-5μs).

The purpose of this paper is to lay the foundation for the 7th curriculum, which will commence in the year 2000, by pre-applying and examining the elective intensive course whose goal is to encourage the interesting and initiative learning. For this purpose, three lessons based on two units of the 7th curriculum were taught to nine classes of first graders in Bang-Bae middle school. Each lesson consists of one basic course, two elective courses, and an achievement test related to an individual or group work including the questionnaire about its effectiveness and advantages. The results are as follows: First, the elective intensive course gives more motivation to students. That is, students were able to select learning materials that interest them by their own, which leads to an independent study. In this respect, the elective course is a better way to teach than the teacher-centered cramming system since the elective course puts its emphasis more on special qualities and students' potentialities, Second, 55.8% of the students pointed out that the most important feature of the elective intensive course is $quot;the chance of showing their aptitude and ability$quot;. In other words, students are able to study in areas of their specialized interest. This fact suggests that various assignments ensure the students successful learning. Third, the course reduces the difference of achievement by each student. 67% of students with lower learning ability proved this. That is to say that the elective intensive course can reduce the difference in achievement by making the low-graders more motivated and thus more involved in class. Fourth, 26% of students with lower marks proved to have difficulty in choosing their themes. This result gives us a hint about the role of the teacher; in fact, the teacher should be a guide or an advisor rather than an instructor. Fifth, this method is good for students who have little interest in social study regardless of their achievement levels. More than 50% of the students who have low interest for social study agree with the hypothesis that this method is effective because it stimulates studying geography by satisfying their wants and desires.
mesopuff Ⅱ 모델을 이용한 서울시 SO₂배출량이 주변지역 대기질에 미치는 영향 분석

To study the influences of the emission sources during June 13~15 1997 in Seoul, MESOPUFF Ⅱ model has been used. The MESOPUFF Ⅱ model includes terrain effects, chemical transformation and removal processes. Data of 20 surface meteorological stations and the upper air station on mid-west area in Korea were used as a DWM(Diagnostic Wind Model) input data. This model is likely to be applicable because the predicted SO₂concentration was well matched with measured SO₂concentration in Seoul and Kyonggido. In generally air pollutants in Seoul have major influence on the other cities but the result of modeling appeared also air pollutants of the other cities influence on Seoul. Finally, in the case of calculating the air quality by diffusion model, the influences of air pollutants emitted in metropolitan area as well as the emission rate in modeling area should be considered.
