        Gastric stricture is caused by the ingestion of caustic materials, or by the involvement of a gastric infiltrating carcinoma. Corrosive injury-induced stricture is uncommon and the gastric injury caused by calcium fertilizer has not been reported in Korea. Once the diagnosis of gastric stricture is confirmed, an early definitive surgical intervention should be performed. Sometimes balloon dilatation on stricture may be attempted in suitable cases. We report a case of gastric stricture caused by ingestion of chemical fertilizer containing calcium and managed with radiologic balloon dilatation in a 73-year-old man. (Korean J Gastrointest Endosc 2003;26:435-438) 위 협착은 부식성 물질의 섭취에 의해 나타나거나, 침윤성 위암에 의해 광범위하게 위가 침범되었을 때 볼 수 있다. 하지만 최근에는 부식성 손상에 의한 위 협착은 드물고, 특히 칼슘 비료에 의해 나타난 경우는 국내에 아직 보고가 없는 실정이다. 치료는 수술이 원칙이지만, 경우에 따라서는 풍선 확장술을 이용하여 치료할 수 있다. 이에 저자들은 칼슘 비료를 음용한 73세 남자 환자에서 발생한 위 협착을 풍선 확장술을 이용하여 성공적으로 치료하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

      • Koinonia 시스템 : 무선 PAN 표준

        최근 인터넷 사용자가 급증하면서 디지털 가전기기 간의 정보 공유를 가능케 하기 위한 홈 네크워킹 기술과 더불어 개인이 10m 내외의 단거리에서 사용하는 개인 무선 네트워킹 솔루선인 무선 PAN(Personal Aren Network) 기술이 주목을 받고 있다. 무선 PAN시스템은 홈 네크워크와 비교할 때 근거리에서 개인을 기준으로 하는 무선 네크워크라는 구분이 가능하며 에로서 Bluetooth, UWB(UltraWideBand), ZigBee등이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 여러 가지 무선 PAN 시스템에 대해 개괄하고 새로운 무선 PAN 표준인 Binary CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)를 이용한 Kononia 표준을 소개한다. 이 에는 물리층 및 데이터 링크층의 표준이 포함된다. 마지막으로 Koinonia 대모 시스템을 소개하며 무신 PAN 시스템으로서 Koinonia의 역할 및 미래에 대해서 서술한다.

        The Role of Endosonography in the Staging of Gastrointestinal Cancers

        Endosonography (EUS) enables the acquisition of clear images of the gastrointestinal tract wall and the surrounding structures. EUS enables much greater accuracy for staging decisions compared to computed tomography. Surgery for esophageal cancer has a high rate of morbidity and mortality, and it is important to decide on an appropriate treatment method through pre-surgical evaluation. Minimal invasive surgery is widely used for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, and endoscopic submucosal dissection is a safe treatment method for early cancer of the gastrointestinal tract that does not result in lymph node metastasis. EUS is essential for pre-surgical evaluation for all esophageal cancers. The use of EUS can effectively reduce unnecessary surgeries and thereby allow for appropriate treatment planning for patients. A number of different diagnostic modalities are available, but EUS is still the mainstay for pre-surgical evaluation of esophageal cancer. The role of EUS for early stomach cancer treatment as a tool for determining the need for endoscopic resection and for pre-surgical assessment is increasing.

        투자은행과 IPO 성과분석

        본 연구는 2003년부터 2005년까지 이루어진 IPO에 대하여 투자은행의 역활을 실증적으로 분석 하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 투자은행에 따른 IPO기업의 성과를 실증분석하기 위하여 IPO기업을 대상으로 Event-time portfolio 방법의 보유기간 누적비정상수익률(CAR)을 이용하였고, Calendar-time portfolio 방법은 one-factor CAPM 모형을 이용하여 장기성과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 누적비정상수익률을 사용하는 경우에는 정(+)의 성과가 나타났다. 하지만 집단간의 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 또한 Calendar-time portfolio 방법에서는 정(+)의 장기성과를 발견할 수 있었다. This paper examines the Investment Bank on the Evaluation of IPO Performance in korea. The event-time portfolio approach with cumulative abnormal return(CAR) and the calendar-time portfolio approach with one-factor by Fama. The result vary the model specification. There were positive short-term performance cumulative abnormal return. But, the calendar-time portfolio approach was different result in event-time portfolio approach. Overall, the long-term performances were found positive

        Differences in Flood-Stress Tolerance among Sprout Soybean Cultivars

        In this study, the response of 22 soybean cultivar sprouts to flooding stress was investigated. After sprouts were subjected to flooding stress for 10 days at the V4-V5 growth stages, their dry weights were compared. All plants were kept in a greenhouse under natural light conditions, an average daytime temperature of 35.6 ± 5.3℃ and an average nighttime temperature of 18.2±1.7°C. Soybeans were grown in a concrete bed filled with silt loam soil. Subjecting plants to flooding stress resulted in a large reduction in plant dry weight, plant height,number of nodes, and number of leaves. Cultivars differed significantly in their responses to flooding stress, as indicated by these characteristics (p<0.05). Soybean cultivars were classified into three groups based on their degree of flood tolerance: strong, moderate, and weak. Hannamkong, Namhaekong,Sobaegnamulkong, and Sorogkong had strong tolerance for flood conditions. Tawonkong, Pureunkong, Eunhakong,Myeongjunamulkong, Doremikong, Saebyeolkong, Paldokong,Sowonkong, Pungsannamulkong, Dagikong, Dachaekong, and Anpyeongkong had weak tolerance for flood conditions

        컴퓨터 통신망의 유한 길이 탄뎀 큐에 대한 해석

        큐 길이를 제한하는 단일 서버 탄뎀 큐의 망에 대한 수식적인 근사 해법을 제시하였다. 유한 길이 큐를 갖는 큐잉망에서는 큐 길이의 제한 때문에 블록킹이 발생하며 이 블록킹은 각 큐 간에 상호 종속적으로 발생한다. 따라서 이러한 큐잉망을 해석하는 데는 어려움이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 블록킹이 발생하는 망을 해석하기 위해 종속하는 스테이션들의 블록킹을 고려하여 현 스테이션으로의 메시지 도착률을 증가시키므로 각각의 큐를 독립 M/M/1/K시스팀으로 해석하였다. 이 근사 해법을 이용하여 각 스테이션의 상태 확률, 평균 큐 길이, 대기 시간 등을 쉽게 구하였다. 제시한 근사 해법의 정당성을 입증하기 위해 이 근사 해법의 결과와 상태 천이 연립 방정식에 의해 구한 값을 비교하였으며 컴퓨터 시뮤레이션으로 검증하였다. An approximation algorithm has been obtained to analyze the network of single server tandem queues with a finite length. In the queueing network with a finite queue length, the blocking which is mutually dependent, occure due to the limitation of the queue length. Thus, it is difficults to analyze such a queueing network. In this paper each queue has been regarded as the independent M/M/1/K system to analyze the queueing network with the blocking, which is based on the assumption that an arrival rate to the present station is increased by the blocking of the following stations. The performance measures, such as state probability, average queue length and tha waiting time, can be easily obtained using the proposed algorithm. In order to justify this approximation algorithm, comparison of the results of this algorithm with those of state transition simultaneous equations has been made an verified with computer simulation.

        The Role of Endoscopy Ultrasonography in T Staging : Eealy Gastric Cancer and Esophageal Cancer

        While a number of diagnostic methods have been developed, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) still takes the most important role in the preoperative evaluation of esophageal cancer. EUS can detect lesions of all esophageal cancer and can accurately perform T staging. In a recent meta-analysis of EUS in esophageal cancer, the sensitivity and specificity of EUS on esophageal cancer were 81.6% and 99.4% in T1, 81.4% and 96.3% in T2, 91.4% and 94.4% in T3, and 92.4% and 97.4% in T4, respectively. The use of EUS can reduce unnecessary surgeries and lead to apply proper treatments to patients. The advance of endoscopic submucosal dissection have necessitated the presurgical detection of early cancer lesions without lymph node metastasis. Understanding the practical meanings of images shown by EUS is important to decide patients for whom endoscopic treatments can be effective. In early gastric cancer, EUS can accurately predict mucosal and SM1 (invasion into the submucosal layer of less than 500 μm from muscularis mucosa) lesions, which are considered as good indications for endoscopic treatments.

      • 인삼 누수량이 토양 염류농도에 미치는 영향

        Background : This study examined EC in soil depending on leaking water rate of sun shading facilities and conducted experiments to establish the proper leaking water rate for ginseng depending on rainfall. Methods and Results : For leakage examination, rainfall flowing into a ridge. As sun shading facilities of ginseng to examine leakage, four kinds such as Blue-Pe-sheet, Pe4 (four–layered polyethylene net) + Pe2 (two–layered polyethylene net), Pe4, Pe2 were installed. As for leakage, a plastic box (23 × 30 × 30 ㎝) was installed on the ridge of ginseng field and outside, rainfall into the box during precipitation was examined, and the leakage quantity was calculated as the ratio of the quantity into the ginseng field regarding rainfall outside. The leakage quantity was examined a total of six times on July 2, July 3, August 24, August 30, August 31, and September 4. Regarding EC in soil, WT–1000n (www.rfsenser.co) which is a EC measuring instrument was used, and the average was calculated through 3 repeated examinations. There are little differences in the leakage quantity depending on the sun shading with 0.1% of the Blue-Pe-sheet, 2.3% of Pe4 + Pe2, 4.3% of Pe4, and 30.7% of Pe2. At the leakage rate of 0.1%, EC decreased from 1.52 ds/m on July 3 to 1.04 ds/m on August 8, and increased again to 1.54 ds/m on September 3 At the leakage rate of 2.4%, EC changes were lower than that of the leakage quantity of 0.1%, and similar results depending on periods were found. At the leakage rate of 4.3%, salt concentration was measured at 0.92 ds/m on July 3, decreased since then, increased to 0.90 ds/m on September 3, and overall concentration was less than 1.0 ds/m. At the leakage rate of 30.7%, EC was the lowest at 0.46 ds/m and similar results were found since then. Conclusion : The differences in leakage quantity depending on sun shading facilities of ginsengs affected EC in soil, and EC became lower with more leakage quantity. As for the leakage quantity to maintain the EC in soil proper for ginseng growth and development lower than 1.0 ds/m, it was found to be effective to control the leakage quantity at 30% in May - June, and September - October when there are less rainfall, and at 2 - 5% in July - August when there are heavy rainfall.
