This study is aimed at the establishment and examination of stochastic simulation model with investigation of stochastic characteristics from the time series analysis of river water quality data. The stochastic simulations model of river water quality is develooped for the long range pollution prediction BOD and DO data obtained at the Bupung and kangjung station were used in the analysis, and by these records can be obtain statistics. In the time series analysis the classical and correlogram method were used, and a single season model of 1st and 2nd order Markov model were applied in the simulation of river water quality. It was also proved that BOD and DO were existed with time series characteristics having seasonal components of 500 and 365 day periodicity respectively. It was found that these river water quality series were nearly nonstationary, and 1st and 2nd order markov model give good results in the simulation of BOD and DO as mean and standare deviation.
Comparison of Image Analysis Methods to Evaluate the Degree of Browning of Fresh-cut Lettuce

Digital image analysis was used to detectchanges in browning of fresh-cut lettuce. Fresh-cut lettucewas divided into the 4 treatment groups of dipping indistilled water (control group); ultrasound treatment for90 s in distilled water (US); blanching for 90 s at 45oC(BC); and blanching after ultrasound treatment (US+BC). The degree of browning was measured using image analysis,colorimetry, spectrophotometry, and visual assessment. Using image analysis, the US+BC treatment group showedthe smallest browning area and lowest b* value. Correlation between visual assessment and image analysisfor evaluation of the area of browning was the highest(0.9592), followed by the b* value of image analysis(0.9527). The lowest correlation coefficient (0.6962) wasobserved between visual assessment and the b* value usingcolorimetry. Image analysis can be used as a method forevaluating browning in fresh-cut lettuce.

This study calculated the optimal sampling interval of suspended sediment on storm in terms of Kalman filter method after collected data the discharge and suspended sediment of Museong place, the downstream of the Wi stream basin that is one of the IHP representative basin the Nakdong river water systems. We'll have to study more specifically about the various elements closely related to the discharge with the reasonable and correct standard of the error variance in the future and we finds out the suspended sediment optimal sampling intervals in other basins it will be applied by the characteristic of them.

The purpose of this study predict to the water quality of Sum-Jin river watershed using QUAL2E model. In order to predict water puality, the upstream of Sum-Jin estimated flow and variation of water quality by main stream. The model is applicable to dendritic streams those are well mixed. It assumes that the major trasport mechanisms, advection and disperssion, are significant only along the main direction of flow. By operating the model dynamically, there can study the effects of diurnal variations in meteorological data on water quality and also can study diurnal dissolved oxygen variations due to algal growth and respiration. The result of the QUAL2E model simulation in Seom-Jin river basin have shown that. First, BOD concentration before confluent Hang-Jong stream was 1∼1.5ppm as a second class water quality. Second, the water quality simulation rusults using QUALM model, BOD intake southseas was 1.4ppm and the prediction of BOD in 2002 and 2012 turn out 1.8ppm and 2.6ppm. There was high increased concentration for BOD variation by purposed year(2002, 2012)

It may be polluted the water sources by the populations, Carousers, manure and agricultural Chemicals in the Gong San Dam. In this paper, the author, investigated the pollutant unit and flow rates of various pollutant sources, and estimated pollutant Load. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Mass sources of artificial pollutions are mainly a circumference of Dong Wha temple and on entrance of Kwan Bong. (2) To maintain about BOD (1mg/l, average a year), it considered that a current population is for appropriate level. (3) Among N.P Which is control factor of eutrophication, P(52%) is derived from domestic sewage and stock breeding, N(62%) is derived from manure (4) It is anticipated that there is a possibility of eutrophication, Whether N, P Loads may be approached to or go over the standard value.

Based on the analysis of monthly streamflow during 1953-1983 at yeongchon damsite in Geumgo river basin, it is concluded that stochastic reservoir analysis method is suitable for reservoir design. Because that method give us reservoir capacity-probability-draft relationship for the design of a impounding reservoir to supply domestic and industrial water, it is a optical technique for the determination of reservoir size. And storage capacity based probability of failure at steady state is computed for varying draft during two sensons(dry and wet season) and four seasons(spring, summer, fall, winter) respectively.
