The purpose of this study is to find out how on-line counseling modalities (phone, video, and video counseling using digital mask) differ from face-to-face counseling in terms of clients' perception of working alliance, depth and smoothness of each session, satisfaction, and their qualitative counseling experience. 40 university students participated in the experiment, divided into 4 groups, received 3 personal counseling sessions per person. The quantitative data revealed no significant difference among the four counseling groups in working alliance. Also, the "depth" of the session was similar in the four groups, but phone and video with mask counseling group who did not expose their faces showed higher "smoothness" in the first and second sessions than face-to-face counseling group, indicating that anonymity was helping the clients' inhibition overcome. Through the post-interview data, subtle differences in experience of each counseling method were identified by the participants. The results are expected to provide primary information for developing and implementing various online counseling modalities in the future.

디지털가면을 활용한 화상상담에 대한 상담자들의 상담 경험 연구

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of counselors who conducted video counseling using digital mask. To this end, the contents of the focus group interview with four counselors who experienced mask video counseling for a total of 10 Korean college student clients were analyzed using thematic analysis method. Participant counselors reported that they had been concerned about mask video counseling before the start but gradually be adjusted to the method. Since they have observed the rapid self-disclosure of the clients and smooth counseling process, they positively predicted the possibility of digital masks as a therapeutic media. They also mentioned the need for additional education and training for the counselors who are using the new on-line counseling media. Therefore, various supports for proactive responses of counselors to online counseling media need to be explored.

한-터 양 국어의 피동표현을 통한 표현구조 대조

The purpose of this study is to examine the structure of expression using two sentential forms describing the same situation in Korean and Turkish. In both sentences it has been found that what is expressed through active sentence structure in Korean is expressed by passive structure in Turkish. This research was done by examining translations of Korean into Turkish from the website of K.C.C. in Turkey. The rate of discrepancies found were 41%. Thus, instances are not rare in which active Korean sentences are expressed by passive Turkish sentences. As a result of these differences, it can be suggested that expression structure of Korean is not based on passive structure.

가족관계문제징후척도 개발 연구 -건강가정지원센터에서의 활용을 중심으로-

Objectives: This study aims for the development of the Family Relations Problem Symptoms Scale. Method: Using the inductive approach, the potential scale items were collected from an on-line survey with 342 participants, using open-ended questions regarding the traits/behaviors of the problematic or happy family. The selected 56 items from 1368 responses were presented to the 320 married adults to evaluate the concept conformity with the ‘family relations problematic symptoms’. The final 18 items were selected using the criteria of the higher concept conformity score or the conceptual importance evaluated by researchers. Using 105 respondents sampled among the clients of the Healthy Family Support Centers throughout the country, the validity and the reliability tests were done. Results: The result showed high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha=.97) and the satisfactory concurrent validity. Conclusions: This scale is optimal for the use of the program effectiveness test in the practical area as well as for the research in the academic area.

COVID-19 상황에서 재택근무자들의 가족생활 경험 연구

본 연구는 코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 시작된 재택근무가 당사자 및 가족원의 일상생활과 가족관계에 어떤 변화를 가져왔는지를 재택근무자의 경험을 중심으로 탐색하였다. 이를 위하여 코로나 상황으로 인해 재택근무로 전환된 기혼 성인 연구참여자 7명(남4명, 여3명)을 눈덩이표집법으로 모집하여 온라인 화상 심층면접을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 면접내용은 전사되었으며 주제분석법(Braun & Clarke, 2006)을 활용하여 분석되었다. 분석결과 재택근무자의 가족생활경험은 5개의 주제, ‘융통성 있는 시간 사용과 시간 여유’, ‘가사노동/자녀돌봄의 증가와 적응’, ‘자녀와 함께 있음으로 인한 정서적 만족’, ‘부부간 다툼도 대화도 많아짐’, ‘가족원의 일상적 면모를 새로 알게 됨’으로 나타났다. 참여자들은 출퇴근 압박 없는 여유로운 삶, 일과 자녀돌봄의 병행이 가능한 점, 자녀와 함께 있을 시간이 늘어난 점, 그리고 함께 있으면서 가족원들이 서로를 더 많이 알게 되는 것 등이 가족관계를 더 풍요롭게 하는 것으로 경험하며 재택근무에 전반적 만족감을 표하였다. 그러나 형편상 가사노동과 자녀 돌봄에 틈틈이 시간을 할애해야 하는 상황에 처한 참여자들은 남녀를 막론하고 재택근무의 불편함을 호소하기도 하였으며 부부간의 사소한 갈등이 이전보다 늘어나기도 하였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 연구자들은 재택근무가 ‘일-가족 간 갈등’의 좋은 대안으로 활용되기 위해서는 가사노동과 돌봄노동의 공평한 배분과 건강한 의사소통 등의 가족문화개선이 전제 될 필요가 있음을 논의하였다. This study explored the family life and relationship of telecommunters under the COVID-19 situation. Seven married telecommuters (4 males & 3 females) were recruited through snowballing method, and data were obtained through in-depth interviews using video conference platform(Zoom). Interview transcripts were analyzed using Braun & Clarke(2006)‘s thematic analysis method. The results showed 5 themes: “Flexible time use and time spare,” “Increased domestic labor and child care caused accommodation,” “Emotionally satisfied with being with children,” “Increased quarrel as well as dialogue with partners,” and “Recognized family members’ new aspects”. Participants expressed overall satisfaction with telecommuting, experiencing a relaxed life without commuting pressure, the compatability of work-childcare, increased time being with children, and the fact that family members get to know each other more while being together. However, the participants, who were forced to devote partial time to domestic labor and child care, complained of the uncomfortableness of telecommuting, regardless of gender, and minor conflicts between couples increased than before. Based on these results, authors discussed the need to improve family culture such as fair distribution of domestic and care labor and healthy communication in order to import telecommuting as a good resolution to classic “Work-family conflict.”

그림책 『백두산 이야기』의 출간 의의 고찰

본 연구는 1988년 출간된 그림책 『백두산 이야기』에 대해, 출간 배경이 되는 1980년대 한국 그림책의 사회 역사적 조건과 작품 속의 의미, 작가인 류재수의 의식 등을 살펴봄으로써, 『백두산 이야기』가 한국그림책 역사에서 가지고 있는 의미를 고찰하고자 하였다. 『백두산 이야기』는 작가 류재수의 ‘그림책’에 대한 장르적인 인식을 통해 만들어진 그림책으로서 그림이 단순히 글을 장식하거나 반복하는 것을 넘어서서 이미지로 의미를 표현하는 서술 방식, 글과 그림의 결합을 통한 새로운 의미 창출, 등장인물의 느낌과 감정을 드러내는 당대의 회화적 흐름과의 연결 등 현대 그림책의 서술 방식을 과감하게 도입하였다. 이를 통해 『백두산 이야기』는 한국 창작 그림책 역사에서 중요한 분기점이자 이정표가 되었다. 또한 『백두산 이야기』는 민족적 정체성을 드러내기 위한 사회적 사명감 속에서 만들어진 책으로서 이후 1990년대 눈부신 한국 그림책의 발전을 이끄는 역할을 수행하였다. This study inquired a role and meaning of The Story of Baekdu Mountain(1988) in history of Korean picture books by researching a message of the author, Jeasoo Ryu, and the social and historical conditions of Korean picture books in 1980s. The Story of Baekdu Mountain was revealed to be the first Korean creative book that introduced a new genre, "Picture books," by boldly applying a narrative style that expresses meaning with the images, creating a new message through the combination of words and pictures, and implementing contemporary painting trends that reveal the feelings and emotions of characters. As a result, The Story of Baekdu Mountain led to the development of Korean creative picture books in 1990s.

북한이탈주민 가족관계 증진 단기 프로그램 개발

본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 가족관계 증진을 위한 단기 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 가족관계 실태와 문제점, 개입프로그램 등에 대한 선행연구와 현장전문가들에 대한 면접결과를 기초로 대상의 다양성 고려, 내담자의 현실에 맞춘 단기프로그램, 현장 전문가가 실시할 수 있는 난이도, 대상자의 강점 및 역량강화에 초점 두기 등의 프로그램 구성 원리를 정하였다. 또한 본 프로그램은 가족체계론과 강점 관점에 더하여 해결중심치료 및 이야기치료 이론을 바탕으로 개발되었다. 부부관계 및 부모자녀관계 증진 프로그램과 상담자 매뉴얼 초안을 개발한 후 피드백 수렴을 통한 수정과정을 거쳤다. 수정프로그램으로 상담실무자 45인을 대상으로 한 교육을 실시하고 이후 프로그램에 대한 평가를 실시하여 프로그램을 수정 보완하여 최종 프로그램을 개발하였으며 프로그램의 활용방안에 대해 논하였다. 평가에 참여한 실무자들은 프로그램의 현장적용가능성 및 단기적 효과에 대해 높이 평가하였으나, 북한이탈주민을 프로그램으로 끌어들이는 전략에 있어서는 여전히 개선이 필요하다고 보고 있었다. 프로그램의 효과성 연구가 이루어지지 못한 것은 본 연구의 제한점으로 남는다. The purpose of this study is to develop a program for improving family relationships among North Korean refugees. To this end, researchers reviewed previous studies on the problems of their family life, intervention programs, and the voices of field experts through in-depth interviews. The principles of the program were set up, including consideration of the diversity of the subjects, short-term programs tailored to the client’s life style, easy-to-learn level for the field experts to deliver, and focus on the strengths and capacity building of the subjects. This principles fit well with the philosophy and strategies of the post-modern family therapy models. Therefore, this program was developed based on the theory of solution-focused therapy and narrative therapy. After developing a initial program (for couple relations and parent-child relations, each) and counselor manuals, they went through a revision process by collecting feedback from three North Korean refugees and field experts. Then, 44 counselors serving North Korean refugees were trained with the revised program. Afterwards, the program was evaluated by the counselors. The final program was developed by supplementing the contents according to the counselors’ feedback. Participant counselors appreciated the program’s applicability and short-term possible effects, but pointed the need for strategy of bringing North Korean refugees into the program. The effectiveness study of the program is needed in the future.

부모 비동반 조기 유학 청소년의 생활실태와 문제점 및 지원방안

본 연구는 부모 비동반 유학생들의 생활실태와 문제점, 그리고 지원 방안을 탐구하고자 캐나다에서 혼자 조기유학 중인 학생들 및 조기유학생과 관련을 가진 다양한 영역의 제보자들을 대상으로 자료를 확보하였다. 심층면접을 통해 얻어진 자료는 내용분석방법으로 분석되었다. 분석결과, 부모의 보살핌과 감독이 없이 생활하는 유학생들은 정서적 어려움, 자기통제의 문제 등의 경험을 가지는 것으로 나타난 반면 이들이 경험하는 사회적 지원의 수준은 다양한 것으로 나타났다. 제보자들은 유학생들의 개인차에 따른 적응차이, 부담감, 또래관계 문제와 생활관리의 문제를 언급하였으며, 현지 교육 체계에 대한 부모들의 무지와 비현실적 기대, 가디언 및 홈스테이 제도의 문제, 교사와 부모간의 의사소통의 결여를 문제점으로 지적하였다. 연구결과에 기초하여 부모들을 위한 지원과 교육의 강화를 포함한 지원 방안들이 연구자에 의해 제시되었다. This paper explored the experiences of young Korean international students who were not living with their parent(s). The data was collected through in?depth interviews with the students as well as other key informants in Greater Vancouver, Canada. Our findings revealed information about their emotional problems, difficulties in self control and variant perceptions about the levels of social support available to them. The key informants added further details about their individual differences, stress levels, and their peer relationships. They pointed to the lack of knowledge and to the unrealistic expectations of parents in supporting their children, and the role ambiguity of guardians/hosts as major problems. Suggestions for dealing with such problems include education and support for the parents of children in such situations were included in our discussion.

중·동유럽에서의 한국학 동향분석과 발전방향 : 중·동유럽학회(CEESOK)의 정체성 확립을 위해서

The purpose of this paper is to explore the development of overseas Korean studies by the Central and Eastern European Society of Koreanology (CEESOK). We first outlined the history of Korean studies in Europe. Next, we explained the definitions and concepts of Korean Studies and further argued that discussions and consensus are needed for Korean Studies identity as an academic field of study. CEESOK is an important institute that could provide leadership to the Korean Studies in Middle East and Eastern Europe. This paper has analyzed the present status and theme of the research and presented the direction of development for the overseas Korean studies and made the following recommendations: First, we should not always depend on the support of the Korean government and pursue self-reliance or self-sufficiency. Second, we would like to do further research that can not be done in Korea: such as contrast language, comparative literature, comparative culture, etc. Third, the continues publication of periodical journals should be essential for the development and maintenance of the society. Fourth, we should coordinate an annual conference and invite academicians and researchers from the non - Eurozone. Fifth, it is better to encourage foreigners to give Korean presentations in Korean language, and Korean presenter to give in English language. Sixth, Let s become a place where Korean researchers and the Central and Eastern European researchers meet and discuss important issues relevant to the Korean Studies. The time has arrived for CEESOK TO TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE as a developmental bridge in between the “European Studies in Korea” and “Korean Studies in Central and Eastern Europe” which will positively support the Korean Renaissance.

COVID-19 상황에서 자녀의 온라인 학교학습으로 인한 가족생활 변화에 대한 어머니의 경험 연구

연구목적: COVID-19 팬데믹 상황에서 진행된 온라인 학교학습은, 자녀인 피교육자가 동일 시공간에 존재하는 상황에서 가족생활에 중요한 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되었다. 이 연구는 온라인 학교학습으로 인해 나타나는 가족의 변화를 모의 경험을 중심으로 질적 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 초등 및 중·고등학교 재학 중인 자녀를 둔 어머니 8명을 초등과 중·고등학부모 집단으로 나누고, 온라인개학 초기와 1달여 후 각 2회씩의 초점집단면접을 통해 온라인 학교 상황에서의 가족생활에 대한 질적자료를 수집하여 주제분석법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과: 분석결과, 어머니들의 가사노동과 자녀학습조력 부담의 증가와 그로 인한 스트레스가 심각한 상황이었다. 아버지와 자녀들/형제들의 역할은 이에 따라 약간씩 조정되었으나 변화는 크지 않았다. 어머니의 스트레스와 불안은 배우자와 자녀에게 짜증과 화로 표현되어 가족관계에 부정적인 효과를 나타내는 유기적인 변화로 이어졌다. 온라인 학교학습 상황은 가족관계에는 친밀감과 이해 등의 긍정적 측면과 더불어 다툼과 긴장이라는 부정적인 측면을 동시에 가져오는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 재난 시 가족탄력성을 증진시키기 위한 가족역할의 융통성과 가족관계의 질 향상이 필요하며, 온라인 학교 상황에서 어머니의 과부담을 줄이는 것이 가족긴장 해소에 도움이 되며, 이를 위한 학교와 교육당국의 역할 등이 제시되었다. Objectives: Online schooling could have made a significant impact on family relationships along with many other changes during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed at exploring mothers’ experience of changes in family relationships due to children’s online schooling. Method: Focus group interviews involving four mothers of elementary students and four mothers of middle and high school students were conducted twice per group to gain qualitative data for the research. Results: The role overload of mothers as housewives, as well as study supervisors, were found to be salient and the resulting stress heavy, while the respective roles of father and children were not shown to change much. Mothers’ stress led to annoyance with their children and spouses, which could possibly have led to other changes in the family system. The online schooling of children showed double-sided effects; intimacy among family members improved, while in contrast, so did quarrels and tensions among them. Conclusions: It was discussed that enhancing flexibility in regard to family roles and relationships could be the basis for family resilience in the event of a social disaster.
