          파킨슨씨병 환자에서 편측 담창구파괴술의 효과

          Objectives : For Parkinsonian patients who had not reacted favorably on drug therapy are good candidate for ventroposterolateral pallidotomy, although not curative. We studied these patients after unilateral pallidotomy, to confirm the effectiveness and safety of this procedure. Methods : We evaluated the 17 patients with idiopathic Parkinson's diesease who had undergone unilateral posteroventral pallidotomy. All patients responded to levodopa initially. Mean age was 55 years(38-75years), and mean duration of disease was 9.8 years(3-20years). Pre-and postoperative evaluation at 3 month intervals included Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating scale(UPDRS) scoring, Hoehn and Yahr(H & Y) staging, and neuropsychological examinations. Results : Pallidotomy significantly improved parkinsonian symptom(tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, dyskinesia, sensory symptom). Nine of 10 patients who showed dyskinesia preoperatively significant improvement. The mean dose of levodopa in 9 patients was lowered. The mean H & Y score and UPDRS score were improved in on and/or off time in 15 patients. Among patients who were not improved, one patient worsened, and the others showed no change. The mean overall UPDRS off score changed from 76 preoperatively to 44(33%) at 6 months and from 70 to 52(25%) at 1 year. Transient surgical morbidity was showen in four patients and included dysarthria, hypotonia and confusion. Conclusion : We conclude that pallidotomy is safe and effective in patients who have levodopa-reponsive parkinsonism with severe symptom fluctuation. Unilateral pallidotomy also considered helpful to ipsilateral symptom. Unilateral pallidotomy can improve all of parkinsonian's symptom and allow to reduce the levodopa medication. Most of patients show satisfactory results.

          실험관 및 생체내에서 U-87 교모세포종 세포주의 광역학 치료 효과에 대한 연구

          Objective : The objective of this study was to determine the photodynamic therapeutic response of U-87 human glioma cell in vitro as well as in the nude rat xenograft model using photofrin as photosensitizer. Material and Method : U-87 cells were cultured on 96-well culture plates, photofrin(Quadralogic Technologies Inc., Vancouver, Canada) was added into the cell culture medium at concentration of $1{\mu}g/ml$, $2.5{\mu}g/ml$, $5{\mu}g/ml$, $10{\mu}g/ml$ and $20{\mu}g/ml$. 24 hour after drug treatment, cells were treated with optical(632nm) irradiation of $100mJ/cm^2$, $200mJ/cm^2$ and $400mJ/cm^2$. Photofrin(12.5mg/kg, i.p.) was administered to 28 nude rats containing intracerebral U-87 human glioma as well as 26 normal nude rats. 48 hours after administration, animals were treated with optical irradiation(632nm) of $35J/cm^2$, $140J/cm^2$ and $280J/cm^2$ to exposed tumor and normal brain. The photofrin concentration was measured in tumor and normal brain in a separate population of animals. Results : By MTT assay, there was 100% cytotoxicity at any dose of photofrin with optical irradiation of $200mJ/cm^2$ and $400mJ/cm^2$. But at the optical irradiation of $100mJ/cm^2$ cells were killed in dose dependent manner 28.5%, 49.1%, 54.4%, 78.2%, and 84.6% at concentration of $1{\mu}g/ml$, $2.5{\mu}g/ml$, $5{\mu}g/ml$, $10{\mu}g/ml$ and $20{\mu}g/ml$, respectively. Dose dependent PDT lesions in both tumor and normal brain were observed. In the tumor lesion, only superficial tissue damage was found with optical irradiation of $35J/cm^2$. However, in the optical irradiation group of $140J/cm^2$ and $280J/cm^2$ the volume of lesions was measured of $7.2mm^3$ and $14.0mm^3$ for treatment at $140J/cm^2$ and $280J/cm^2$, respectively. The U-87 bearing rats showed a photofrin concentration in tumor tissue of $6.53{\pm}2.16{\mu}g/g$, 23 times higher than that found in the contralateral hemisphere of $0.28{\pm}0.15{\mu}g/g$. Conclusion : Our data indicate that the U-87 human glioma in vitro and in the xenografted rats is responsive to PDT. At these doses, a reproducible injury can be delivered to human glioma in this model. Strategies to spare the normal brain collateral damage are being studied.

          별 불가사리(Asterina pectinifera) 및 아므르 불가사리 (Asterias amurensis)추출물의 항균, 항산화 활성 및 미백 효과

          This study examined the antimicrobial, antioxidant, and tyrosinase inhibitory activities of bioactive compounds extracted from two starfish, Asterina pectinifera and Asterias amurensis, using solvent extraction after Protamex™ hydrolysis. Methanol and acetone fractions collected by stepwise extraction from specimens were subjected to silica gel column chromatography (SGCC) (200 mesh and 400 mesh), followed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Two fractions (7:3 and 5:5 chloroform : methanol ratio, v/v) eluted using silica gel column chromatography from the two starfishes showed higher antimicrobial activity against Propionibacterium acnes and dermatophyte fungi (Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum audouinii, Trichophyton ferrugineum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Trichophyton rubrum), antioxidant activity (EDA50, mg/mL), and tyrosinase inhibitory activity compared to the other fractions. The final fractions obtained from Asterina pectinifera (RT 7.53, 8.93, and 10.48 min) and Asterias amurensis (RT 5.02 min) by SGCC (400 mesh) and HPLC from two SGCC fractions (200 mesh) showed 8.94 and 15.59 mg/mL antioxidant activity (EDA50) and 46.89 and 40.19 % tyrosinase inhibitory activity, respectively. Extracts from starfishes are potential cosmetic basic material.

          횡단유동에 분사된 이유체 분무의 기체 액체비가 분무특성에 미치는 영향

          액체제트의 액적분열 분포특성을 알아보기 위해 아음속 유동 내로 수직 분사된 이유체 분무를 실험적으로 연구하였다. 노즐은 L/d=3의 외부혼합형을 사용하였으며 공기와 액체의 비를 0 ~ 59.4%까지 변화시키면서 분사하였다. 분무형상을 이미지화 하여 분무의 궤적과 분열특성을 관찰하였다. PDPA를 사용하여 액체제트 분열의 단면분포 특성을 측정하였으며 SMD, 액적속도, 그리고 체적유속을 측정하였다 이유체 분무로부터 공급되는 공기의 유량이 증가할수록 액체 제트의 충돌점은 노즐 입구와 좀 더 가까워졌으며, 침투거리는 증가하였고, 기체 액체 비를 증가시킴에 따라 좀 더 무화된 액체제트의 분포를 얻을 수 있었다. The effect of two-phase spray injected into subsonic cross-flow was studied experimentally. External-mixing of two-phase spray from orifice nozzle with L/d of 3 was tested with various air-liquid ratio that ranges from 0 to 59.4%. Trajectory of spray and breakup phenomena were investigated by shadowgraph photography. Detailed spray structure was characterized in terms of SMD, droplet velocity, and volume flux using PDPA. Experimental results indicate that penetration length was increased and collision point of liquid jets approached to nozzle exit and distributions of mist-like spray were obtained by increasing air-liquid ratio.

        • 초소형 열병합발전시스템(μCHP) 운전거동 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발

          We developed a program, “CogenSim-μ,” to simulate the operation of micro-combined heat and power (μCHP) system. The CogenSim-μ can reflect the variation of energy efficiency by handling the real-time loads (heat and power) fluctuation. The result obtained using this program was compared with the real operation of 30 ㎾e gas engine driven μCHP. It was found that the CogenSim-μ could predict the amount of generated-power, recovered-heat and consumed-fuel with the error less than 3%, and heat and power efficiency with the error less than 4%. The CogenSim-μ reconstructed the profile of on-off cycle, which represented the operation of a facility, with more than 93% accuracy. The CogenSim-μ can reflect the effects of various factors such as size of thermal storage tank, desired temperature of reservoir water, natural frequency of generator, etc. As a result, the CogenSim-μ can be used to optimize the μCHP operation.

          이중개폐창호시스템의 연간 에너지소비특성 평가

          Window systems are one of the complicated parts in buildings, supplying the daylight and the fresh air to the room and serving as the interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. It causes the unwanted heat gain in the summer and the heat loss in the winter. Although the thermal insulation performance of the window systems was developed mainly for preventing the heat loss in the winter, it is recently becoming important to prevent the heat gain from the outdoor in the summer as well, as buildings increasingly use the cooling systems. The heat gain in the summer period is significantly due to the solar radiation, but the sufficient studies have not been done on the energy consumption characteristics affected by those effects. The thermal insulation performance was quantitatively evaluated using Therm 6.1 and Window 6.1 simulation tools, and the on-site experiment of the cooling and heating energy consumption characteristics was carried out in this study. In addition, the annual cooling and heating energy consumption is computed using the building energy simulation software ESP-r to provide the basic data for the popularization of the system.

          『주역』에서 `신뢰[부(孚)]`의 의미

          본 논문의 목적은 『주역』의 부(孚)자를 살펴봄으로써 신뢰의 어원과 변천과정을 탐색하고, 더 나아가 중부괘(中孚卦)와 무망괘(无妄卦)를 중심으로 신뢰의 전제조건과 그 기반을 고찰하는데 있다. 공자가 십익 에서 부(孚)자를 신뢰의 의미로 사용한 이후, 『주역』의 신뢰는 유가의 핵심개념 가운데 하나가 되었을 뿐만 아니라 현대의 정치, 사회, 경제 등에서 요구되는 중요한 덕목이 되었다. 신뢰관계는 단순한 상호 친밀성이나 뜻이 맞는 사람들끼리 비밀스러운 결속을 통해서 이루어져서는 안 된다. 이러한 결속은 부정적인 입장에서도 얼마든지 이루어질 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 그 신뢰의 결과에 대한 책임을 회피하는 경향이 있다. 하지만 『주역』은 공정함을 전제조건으로 신뢰의 합당성과 투명성을 확보하고, 사유를 기반으로 신뢰에 대한 책임을 강조하고 있다. 더 나아가 『주역』의 신뢰는 유가의 윤리학 체계를 확립하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 뿐만 아니라, 현대사회의 신뢰문제를 해결할 수 있는 대안이 될 것이다. The purpose of this paper is exploring the etymology and change process of trust by examining Fu(孚) of 『Zhouyibenyi(周易)』, further considering the premise of trust and its foundation centered on the Zhongfugua(中孚卦) and Wuwanggua(无妄卦). Since Confucius has used Fu(孚) as the meaning of trust in 『Shiyi(十翼)』, Trust is not only one of the core concepts of Confucianism, but also an important virtue required in modern politics, society, and economy. A trust relationship should not be made through a secret bond of simple mutual intimacy or like-minded people. Such bond can not only be done in a negative way, but also cause tendency to avoid responsibility for the result of that trust. But 『Zhouyibenyi(周易)』 ensures the appropriateness and transparency of trust on the premise of fairness, emphasizes responsibility for the result of trust based on thought. Furthermore, the trust of 『Zhouyibenyi(周易)』 not only plays an important role in establishing the ethics system of Confucianism, but also will be an alternative to be able to solve the trust problem of modern society.

          소통을 위한 「주역」의 무구(无咎) 이론

          본 논문의 목적은 「계사전」의 무구(无咎) 개념을 구체적으로 살펴보고 현대사회에서 소통의 의미를 재구성함으로써 「역」이 유용한 이유를 찾는 데 있다. 무구에 대한 이해는 물질만능주의 사회에서 ‘인간이 어떻게 살 것인가’에 대한 해답을 줄 수 있다. 왜냐하면, 이것은 인간이 추구하는 최종적인 삶의 목표를 재설정할 기회를 제공하기 때문이다. 「역」은 성인이 허물을 보완하는 방안을 제시한 텍스트로 과(過)-회(悔)-선보과(善補過)-무구(无咎)-소통(疏通)의 구조로 되어 있다. 이와 같은 구조에 따르면, 먼저 인간은 끊임없이 허물을 범하는 존재이다. 그러므로 인간은 상호소통을 위해서 자신의 허물을 인정할 도덕적 신념인 뉘우침이 필요하고, 그다음 그 허물을 잘 보완하는 도덕적 실천을 하여 무구의 단계에 도달해야한다. 무구는 자신의 허물을 책임지는 윤리적 성격을 가지고 있으며, 이것을 바탕으로 삶의 태도와 방식을 재정립할 수 있는 소통 가능성을 보여준다. 그러므로 무구의 의미는 「역」이 현대사회에서 여전히 유용성을 가질 수 있는 이유 중의 하나이다. The purpose of this paper is to look at the concept of 「Xicichuan(繫辭傳)」’s Wujiu(无咎) in detail and to find out the reason that 「Zhouyi(周易)」 is useful by reconstructing the mean of communication in modern society. Understanding of Wujiu(无咎) can give an answer about ‘how human beings live’ in materialism society. Because this would provide an opportunity which resets the final goal of life for human to pursuit. 「Zhouyi(周易)」 is a text presented with a plan that saint compensates a fault, and has a structure of Guo(過)-Hui (悔)-Shanbuguo(善補過)-Wujiu(无咎)-Shutong(疏通). According to this structure, first, human beings constantly commit a fault. So, Human beings need repentance to be moral belief that admits their fault in order to interact, and then make ethical practice to compensate a fault well, finally must reach the stage of Wujiu(无咎). Wujiu(无咎) has a moral nature which is responsible for their fault. Based on this, Wujiu(无咎) shows the possibility of communication that can redefine attitudes and way of our life. Therefore, Meaning of Wujiu(无咎) is one of the reasons that 「 Zhouyi(周易)」 may still have utility in the modern world.
