N/A We investigated the effect of 1-octhanol and PVP(poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidon) K-90) on the changes of shape, size distribution, porosity of PolyHEMA beads, which were prepared by suspension polymerization. As the concentration of 1-octhanol increases, the shape of PolyHEMA beads becomes irregular and the average size of the beads grows. Also the porosity and the average radius of PolyHEMA beads are increased. Increased PVP concentration makes average radius small but the effect can be ignored when the concentration is over 3 %. The porosity gets a gains of nearby 25 % as its concentration increases. But it does not affect on the shape.

냉동/해동 반복횟수, 냉동 시간, 초기 폴리비닐알콜 용액 농도를 제조변수로 하여, 냉동/해동법으로 미생물의 고정화 담체로 사용하기 위한 폴리비닐알콜 하이드로젤을 제조하였다. 하이드로젤의 격자 크기, 가교점 사이의 평균 분자량, 가교밀도 등을 측정·계산하여 기본특성을 조사하고, 글루코오스 물질전달 실험을 행하였다. 냉동/해동 반복횟수가 커질수록, 냉동시간이 길어질수록, 그리고 초기 폴리비닐알콜 용액농도가 증가할수록 하이드로젤을 조밀한 결정구조를 가졌으며, 격자 크기 분포가 68-226Å, 평형부피 팽윤비의 범위가 6-27인 하이드로젤을 얻을 수 있었다. 글루코오스 물질전달 계수는 2.478×10^(-6)-7.22×10^(-7)㎠/s의 범위로 변하였다. Polyvinylalcohol hydrogels for microbial immobilization were prepared try freezing/thawing method by varying several parameters such as freezing/thawing cycle number, freezing time and initial PVA solution concentration. By determining and calculating mesh size, average molecular weight between crosslinks and crosslinking density, the characteristics of prepared hydrogels were investigated and then glucose permeability experiments were carried out. The more freezing/thawing cycle number, the longer freezing time, and the concentrated initial PVA solution, the denser the hydrogel. Mesh size was 68-226Å and equilibrium volume swelling ratio was from 6 to 27. Glucose diffusion coefficients were 2.478×10^(-6)-7.22×10^(-7)㎠/s

Poly(hydroxyethylmethacrylate)(polyHEMA) beads를 현탁중합법으로 제조하였으며, 중합에 사용된 1-octanol과 PVP(poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) K-90) 가 polyHEMA beads의 형태,크기분포, 기공도 그리고 기공 평균반지름에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 1-Octanol 농도가 증가할수록 beads의 형태는 구형으로부터 불규칙한 형태로 변화하였으며, 평균 beads의 크기는 증가하였다. 기공도와 기공 평균반지름 또한 증가하였다. PVP의 농도를 증가시킨 경우 beads의 평균반 지름은 작아졌으나, 농도가 3% 이상인 경우 그 영향은 무시할 만하였다. 기공도는 약 25% 정도 증가하였으나, 평균반 지름에서는 큰 변화를 관찰할 수 없었다. 전체 beads 형태에 대한 PVP의 영향은 크지 않았으나, bead표면에서의 미세구밀도를 매우 낮추었다. Divinylsulfone(DVS)을 특성기로 갖는 poly(hydroxyethyl-methacrylate, HEMA) 비드의 human immunoglobulin G(HIgG) 흡착에 대한 sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate, potassium sulfate의 계열 염들과 sodium chloride의 농도와 완충액 pH의 영향을 고찰하였다. Sulfate 계열의 염들은 완충액에 첨가되는 농도에 비례하여 DVS-polyHEMA 비드의 HlgG 흡착을 증가시켰으나, sodium chloride 농도 변화의 영향은 없었다. 동일한 sulfate 염에서도 양이온의 종류에 따라 HIgG 흡착량이 달라졌으며, 0.5 M 농도에서 Na^+, K^+, (NH₄)^+ 순으로 흡착을 촉진시켰다. 완충액의 pH 변화는 DVS-polyHEMA 비드의 HIgG 흡착에 영향을 주었으나, 염에 따른 경향성은 일정하지 않았다. It was were estimated how the buffer pH, the salt concentration and the salt species such as sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate and sodium chloride affected on the human immunoglobulin G(HIgG) adsorption by using poly(hydroxyethyl-methacrylate, HEMA) beads reacted with divinylsulfone(DVS). Salts of sulfate series promoted the HIgG adsorption according to their concentrations but sodium chloride did not. In the sulfate salts, the adsorption tendencies were different with canon species and were increased in the order of Na^+, K^+, (NH₄)^+*. There was the effect of pH on the adsorption of HIgG, but a constant tendency with salts was not observed.
