항콕시디엄지수에 대한 polyether ionphorous antibiotics의 효능평가

        조영웅(Yong Woong Jo),장두환(Du Hwan Jang) 한국예방수의학회 1987 예방수의학회지 Vol.11 No.1

The present studies were carried out to elucidate the drug resistance of field isolates of Eimeria spp. to salinomycin, one of the polyether ionophorous antibiotics, and to evaluate the efficacy of salinomycin and the related anticoccidial drugs including monensin and maduramicin, during a 14 month period from May, 1984 to July, 1985. For the trial on drug resistance, a total of 116 broiler farms in 7 major broiler-producing regions, in where salinomycin has been used for more than 5 years, has subjected. Among them, 65 farms detecting over 1.0×10⁴ coccidial oocysts were selected by regions. The fecal samples were separately collected from each farm. The oocysts of Eimeria spp. were propagated and the stock suspension for artificial inoculation were prepared by regions. A group of 220 Abor Acres strain of broiler chickens, 9 day old, was divided into 4 groups, 10 in normal control group(noninfected, non-medicated group) and 70 in each of group Ⅰ(infected, non-medicated), group Ⅱ(infected, medicated with salinomycin 50ppm) and group Ⅲ(infected, medicated with salinomycin 100ppm) respectively. The basal diet for normal control group and group Ⅰ, and medicated diet for groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were supplied ad libitum from 48 hours before the artificial oral inoculation with about 4.0×10⁴ sporulated oocysts throughout the 8th day after inoculation.

Vol.10 No.1

A total of 108 Holstein calves with an average body weight of l19kg was studied in 4 farms in middle region of South Korea in late Autumn from November 8 to 27, 1991. Individuals were selected for treatment when they exhibited acute signs of pneumonia and had a rectal temperature of$\geq$4$0^{\circ}C$. Each animal received intramuscularly either danofloxacin at 1.25mg/kg once daily or oxytetracycline at 10mg/kg once daily for three consecutive days. The individuals which had a rectal temperature of$\geq$39.5$^{\circ}C$ at 24 hours after the third treatment received two further treatments. Treatment for three or five days with danofloxacin was very efficacious and superior to oxytetracycline in the treatment of calve pneumonia. Eighty-six per cent of 58 danofloxacin treated calves and sixty-six per cent of 50 oxytetracycline teated calves responded successfully to treatment for three days and the difference between treatment groups was highly significant. Danofloxacin was more efficacious than oxytetracycline in rapid and complete control of pyrexia and in resolution of clinical signs. The minimum inhibitory concentration of danofloxacin for Pasteurella hemolytica and Pasteurella multocida was equally 0.12~0.50 mcg/$m\ell$ while that of oxytetracycline for Pasteurella hemolytica and Pasteurella multocida was 2.0~4.0 and 4.0~16mcg/$m\ell$, respectively. During the treatment period side effect was not found in all animals of both treatment groups except some animals receiving oxytetracycline showed pain at the site of injection.

      • 犬蛔蟲의 感染狀態 調査

        趙英雄,盧忍圭 서울大學校 保健大學院 1974 公衆保健雜誌 Vol.11 No.1

This study was undertaken to know the status of Toxocara canis infection of dogs in an area of Seoul City, during the period September to October, 1973. The stool specimens of 130 dogs were collected and also the questionnaires asking the breeding conditions and ways of fecal disposal. The stools were examined by means of cellophane thick smear technique. The results were as follows: 1) The prevalence rate of T. canis infection of the dogs was 56.1%. 2) The prevalence rates of T. canis infection of dogs by sex were 58.7% in female dogs and 52.0% in male dogs. 3) The prevalence rates of T. canis infection of dogs by age were 52.3% in over-1-year old and 58.1% in under-1-year old. 4) The prevalence rates of T. canis infection of dogs by ways of fecal disposal were 88.8% in burial disposal and 37.7% in disposal through sewer. 5) The prevalence rates of T. canis infection of dogs by breeding conditions were 70.4% in isolated kennel with ground base and 33.3% in indoor-feeding dogs.
