        노인들의 운동 중재가 심혈관질환 위험요인에 미치는 효과에 대한 메타분석

        본 연구는 노인들을 대상으로 운동 참여 중재를 통해 심혈관질환 위험요인에 나타나는 효과를 검증하는 연구논문을 대상으로메타분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 분석 연구간 체계적인 차이를 의미하는 이질성(heterogeneous)이 존재할 것으로 가정하였기 때문에 메타분석 모형 중에서 무선효과 모형을 적용하였다. 또한 이질성의 원인을 파악하기 위해 조절변수를 사용한 하위집단분석(subgroup analysis)을 실시하였고, 이때의 통계적 유의성은 QB 값을 통하여 검증하였다. 각 연구의 효과크기가 체계적인 차이를 나타냈으므로 성별에 관계없이 동일한 효과를 보여주었으며 식이통제에 관계없이 효과를 보유한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 비만유무에서 비만집단에서 강한 효과를 보여주었다. 중재방법에서는 복합운동, 유산소운동, 저항운동 모두가 효과를 보여주었으며중재강도도 점진적강도와 동일강도로 동일한 효과를 보유하였다. 국내 노인들을 대상으로 운동 참여는 심혈관질환 위험요인을 개선하는 효과를 보여주고 있다. 이러한 결과를 통해 올바른 운동 중재프로그램의 운동유형과 강도, 시간, 기간등을 조화롭게 적용해야 할 것이다. The purpose of this meta-analysis study was to investigate the effectiveness of exercise??interventions for older adults. Specifically, this study considered several different exercise program interventions in relation to??cardiovascular disease risk factors. A random effect model was used to confirm the hypothesis that??the effect sizes of previous studies would be heterogenous. Various moderating variables such as??gender, diet, obesity, intervention types, and intervention intensity were added for a subgroup analysis??to investigate the heterogeneity specifically. QB values were used for the statistical significance. The??results confirmed the hypothesis that the effect sizes were different from each other (i.e.,??heterogenous). The exercise interventions were significant regardless of all moderating variables??except obesity. That is, the exercise interventions were more effective on the obese group. The??results show exercise and physical activity participation are effective interventions in helping to reduce??cardiovascular risk factors in older adults. It is recommended that future research pursues the??development and application of various exercise interventions containing appropriate exercise type??and intensity, time, and duration to reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors and eventually improve??health in older adults.

        미세전류 자극이 얼굴 피부개선에 미치는 영향에 관한 임상시험 연구

        This study examined the effectiveness of micro-current stimulation (MCS) to improve the facial skin qualities by performing clinical test. The MCS is generally known that provide healing response in the damaged tissue and pain relief through activating the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and protein synthesis. In here, we can hypothesize that the improvement of facial skin qualities may occur due to MCS, since the induction of micro-current from outside may enhance the cellular activity according to ATP activation. From the clinical test, our results showed that a variety of evaluating categories, which is able to assess the skin qualities, significantly enhanced due to stimulation of micro-current after 7 and 14 days. Therefore, we can estimate that MCS in human facial skin may be effective to improve the skin qualities.

        미세 전류 자극에 따른 복부 체지방 감소 및 다이어트 효과에 대한임상 시험 연구

        Obesity is considered as a primary health problem over the past century in line with life environmental changes. It is mainly associated with increased risk of numerous chronic diseases which may significantly reduce health-related quality of life. Therefore, efforts to reduce weight should be performed. This study suggested a novel approach to reduce body fat by applying external stimulation which is micro-current stimulation (MCS). In this clinical study, we evaluated the potential effects of MCS for reduction of abdominal fat and weight loss. Prior to the clinical test, computational simulation was conducted to find the proper MCS conditions that allow externally applied stimulation to reach the internal fat section from the external skin. Particularly, the clinical study evaluated the unilateral effects of MCS for body fat loss and lipolysis without any additional limitations such as physical exercise and dietary therapy. The results showed that whole body fat, waist circumferences, and abdominal fat are gradually decreased after intervention in proportion to the time. From the results, we can estimate that MCS can be effective on the body fat loss by activation of lipolysis in human adipose.

        Talent Development and Motivation in Dancers

        The purpose of this article was to review a wide range of literature in talent development and motivation in dancers. Much of the findings overlap with other physical activity domains but the talent development of dancers is inconsistent with other physical activity domains. Specifically, Bloom’s talent development model as well as 10,000 hours of deliberate practice should be followed to reach an elite level in dance. Self-determination theory provides a comprehensive framework to better understand dancers’ motivation. Dancers need to be motivated by three basic psychological needs (i.e., autonomy, competence, and relatedness) to increase intrinsic motivation. and positive effects. Most of the current research has focused on ballet dancers, and thus future research needs to focus on different genres of dance such modern and jazz. Further scientific research on psychological aspects of dance is also required.

        Mathematical Modeling of Nitric Oxide Diffusion in Small Arterioles

        The present study examined how the existence of glycocalyx layer (GLY) could influence the wall shear stress (WSS) and nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability in small arterioles. It was accomplished by considering GLY in determination of WSS, and its consequential effect on NO diffusion was predicted by a time-dependent computational model. The results showed that the WSS with consideration of GLY was not significantly different from that without the consideration. Although the difference was not statistically significant, the mean WSS with consideration of GLY was slightly greater than that without the consideration. The corresponding computational simulation to the existence of GLY showed no significant effect of GLY consideration on the peak NO concentration in the endothelium. In addition, no significant difference was found in sGC activation between with and without consideration of GLY. The above findings suggest that small changes in WSS due to the GLY existence may not significantly influence the NO transport or sGC activation in arterioles.

        In clinical use, coronary stents keep coronary arteries open after expansion with a balloon catheter and prevent the expanded artery from collapsing. Coronary stents are positioned in artery by catheter with a balloon along a guide wire to the lesion site. Flexibility is one of important ability for delivery. In this paper, Palmaz-Schatz stent and Tenax complete stent were selected because these are the most representative of tubular stents. Finite element analyses for the stent system were performed using ABAQUS/Standard code. The present study estimated the flexibility of coronary stents due to loading directions. Moreover the present paper suggests a numerical method to test the flexibility of stents. In conclusion this paper shows how the finite element analysis can be effectively organized in the stent development.

        Talent Development and Motivation in Dancers

        본 논문은 무용수들의 재능개발과 동기에 관련 된 선행 연구들을 고찰하고 정리하였다. 무용과 신체활동의 연구 논문결과들은 상당히 중복되는 주제들이 많았으나, 재능개발에 있어서는 다른 부분이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 특히, Bloom의 재능개발과 1만 시간의 계획적이고 의도적인 연습은 엘리트 무용수가 되기 위해서는 필수적임을 알 수 있었다. 동기에 있어서 자기결정성이론은 댄서들의 동기를 이해하기 위한 종합적이며 포괄적인 틀을 제시하였으며, 무용수들의 내적동기와 긍정적인 영향을 높이기 위해서는 기본 심리적 욕구(자율성, 유능성, 관계성)가 필요하였다. 대부분의 연구들이 발레에 집중해 있기에, 추후 연구자들은 이를 고려하여 현대무용이나 재즈와 같은 다양한 분야의 댄스장르를 포함한 연구가 필요하며, 또한 심리적인 측면에서의 무용에 대한 연구가 더 이뤄져야 할 것이다.
