The purpose of the study is to conduct a meta-analysis of the relationship between peer attachment and adjustment-related variables of adolescents. This study covers masters’ theses, doctoral dissertations, and journals published in Korea for the past nine years from 2010 to 2018. The final study consisted of 293 papers, made up of 157 master's theses, 12 doctoral dissertations, and 124 journals. The coding of data classified the data by study type, school level, and individual adjustment type with criteria suggested by Lipsy and Wilson (2001), and by Cooper (2010). The effect size was calculated by Fisher's Z score and was converted to a correlation for ease of interpretation. The overall effect size and effect sizes by moderator variables were all analyzed in terms of the random effect model. The results showed that positive peer attachment and positive adjustment had medium effect size, whereas positive peer attachment and negative adjustment, negative peer attachment and positive adjustment, and negative peer attachment and negative adjustment had small effect size. As a result of examining the magnitudes of the effects by study type, school level, and adjustment type, there were significant differences in the effect sizes of positive peer attachment and positive adjustment, positive peer attachment and negative adjustment, and negative peer attachment and positive adjustment. However, there were only significant differences in the effect sizes of negative peer attachment and negative adjustment according to school level. Based on these results, we discuss the relevance with prior study, present an interpretation of the results, and discuss the significance of the outcomes.

The study aimed to systematically synthesize the life satisfaction and adjustment-related variables of the elderly by meta-analysis. Also, the study aimed to verify whether there were differences on effect sizes depending on the moderator variables (type of thesis, date of publication, gender, occupation, volunteering experience, and participation method). For the analysis, 102 studies on the relation between life satisfaction and adjustment were analyzed. The results showed that the effect size of the life satisfaction of the elderly and positive adjustment was high, but the life satisfaction of the elderly and negative adjustment was moderate. According to the total effect size of life satisfaction and individual adjustment variables, quality of family relationship was the highest among the positive adjustment variables, and stress was the highest among the negative adjustment variables. The effects of the variables related to the life satisfaction and adjustment-related variables of the elderly were different according to the type of publication, publication year, gender, and participation of volunteer service. Based on the results of this study, the researchers discussed the relevance of previous studies, implications, and limitations of the research.

A thin-film transmission line (TFTL) employing a microstrip line/coplanar waveguide (ML/CPW) was fabricated ona silicon substrate for application to a miniaturized on-chip RF component, and the RF characteristics of the devicewith the proposed structure were investigated. The TFTL employing a ML/CPW composite structure exhibited ashorter wavelength than that of a conventional coplanar waveguide and that of a thin-film microstrip line. Whenthe TFTL with the proposed structure was fabricated to have a length of λ/8, it showed a loss of less than 1.12 dBat up to 30 GHz. The improvement in the periodic capacitance of the TFTL caused for the propagation constant,β, and the effective permittivity, εeff, to have values higher than those of a device with only a conventional coplanarwaveguide and a thin film microstrip line. The TFTL with the proposed structure showed a β of 0.53~2.96 rad/mm andan εeff of 22.3~25.3 when operating from 5 to 30 GHz. A highly miniaturized impedance transformer was fabricatedon a silicon substrate using the proposed TFTL for application to a low-impedance transformation for broadband. The size of the impedance transformer was 0.01 mm2, which is only 1.04% of the size of a transformer fabricatedusing a conventional coplanar waveguide on a silicon substrate. The impedance transformer showed excellent RFperformance for broadband.

The effect of topically applied 1% sodium hyaluronate on the healing of a standardized corneal alkali wound was evaluated. Central comeal alkali wound was produced in one eye of 60albino rabbits by applying a 5.5mm round filta paper, soaked in IN NaOH, for 60 seconds. 1%sodium hyaluronate in the treatment group and PBS in the control group were initilled 4 timesper day for 2 days, 1 week, and 3 weeks. Epithelial hea1ing was assessed morphometrically from1 week specimens. Stromal healing was evaluated by measuring the ratio of PMN and keratocyte in the areas of the cental and marginal corneas. A positive healing influence was observed in the epithelium. The stromal PMN infilteration was suppressed, especially, in the central area, in the 1% sodium hyaluronate treated groups when compared with the control group.
Na-Hyaluronan이 각막 기저세포 치유에 미치는 효과

국소 점안으로 사용된 Na-HA가 각막 상피세포의 치유 과정에 미치는 영향을 정량 분석하였다. 토끼 눈에서 n_heptanol을 이용하여 상피결손을 유발한 후, 치료군(1% Na-HA)과 대조군(PBS)에서 상피세포 치유속도를 측정하였으며, 3일간의 치료 후 각막 조직절편을 만든 후, 전자현미경을 이용하여 기저막에 형성된 hemidesmosome의 수를 비교 관찰하였다. 국소 점안한 1% Na-HA는 상피세포 치유속도에는 영향을 미치지 못하나 기저세포와 기저막 사이의 hemidesmosome 형성을 촉진시켰다. The effect of Na-Hyaluronan(Na-HA) on hemidesmosome morphogenesis was evaluated in n-heptanol induced corneal epithelial wounds, Epithelial wounds were produced by applying a 5.5mm round filter paper, soaked in n-heptanol, on the central cornea for 60 seconds. 1% Na-HA in phosphate buffered saline(PBS) or PBS saline were instilled 4 times a day for 3 days. Epithelial healing rates determined during the first two days were not altered by Na-HA. However, the number of hemidesmosome in the central cornea, which was counted in the basement membrane, significantly increased by the treatment with 1% Na-HA, being 10.0±1.1 in the 1% Na-HA treated group and 6.5±2.5 in the control group. The results suggest that topically applied 1% Na-HA may enhance the formation of hemidesmosome in n-heptanol wounded cornea.
