This study was initiated by the idea to help students to be more ideally educated following the 7th curriculum that seeks the proactive students along with creativity for the 21st century. Mind-map was the main tool throughout the study and this was performed to find answers for the following questions : 1) to examine how students' drawing a mind-map affects their mathematical tendency or emotional aspects (motivation for study, interest, etc); 2) to investigate the types and characteristics of mind-maps that students draw; 3) to analyze advantages and obstacles that they experience during the process of drawing a mind-map and provide some suggestions for overcoming them. The research shows that students were highly motivated by the drawing a mind-map. There are types of mind-maps: tree shape and radial shape, and each shape has its own advantages. But the more important factor for being a good mind-map is where and how each concept is located and connected. Although it is true that drawing a mind-map helped students to see the bigger structure of what they learned, but there are several hardships taken care of. The study suggests to extend the experiment to various levels of students and diverse contents.
This study analyzed the contents of the research papers concerning the vascular dementia(VD) recorded in Chinese medical journal published over the period between 1998 and 2000. As a result, the following conclusion was drawn. The Chinese medical category of VD includes Sun-Mang(善忘), Chi-Mae(痴매), Jung-Pung-Chi-Mae(中風痴매) and so on, and the Major mechanism of the VD is Bon-Heo-Pyo-Sil(state of deficient vital essence and excessive pestilential vapor;本虛標實), Ban(本) includes Sin-Jeong-Heo-Son(腎精??損), Ki-Hyeol-Hyu-Heo(氣血??虛) and Pyo(標) includes Dam-Chae-Eo-Jo(痰滯瘀阻), Ki-Chae-Hyeol-Eo(氣滯血瘀), Gan-Yang-Sang-Hang(肝陽上亢). It is mainly used DSM and evidence of brain-vascular disease in brain CT or MRI as the criterion for diagnosis in Western medicine and MMSE, HDS, ADL is used as assistant diagnostic indicator. 『Principle of clinical study guidance for treatment of dementia by Chinese medicine, Westem medicine』 (『中藥新藥治療痴매病的臨床硏究指導原則』) is mainly used as the criterion for diagnosis in Chinese medicine. It is mainly used 『Principle of clinical study guidance for treatment of senile disease by Chinese medicine, Western medicine』 (『中藥新藥治療痴매病的臨床硏究指導原則』), 『Principle of clinical study guidance for treatment of dementia by Chinese medicine, Western medicine4 as the criterion for treatment effect evaluation, and score change of MMSE and HDS is used as assistant evaluation indicator. The research papers reported that the use of prescriptions such as Hwan-Chong-Dan(還聰丹), Noi-Hyeol-So-Tong-Gu-Bok-Yaek(腦血疏通口服液), Yik-Gi-Gyo-Nang(益智膠囊), Cheon-Ma-Chok-Gi-Chung-Je(天麻促智沖劑), Sam-Gap-San-Ga-Mi-Bang(三甲散加味方), Seon-Ryong-Gyo-Nang(仙龍膠囊), Seong-Noi-Tang Ⅱ(醒腦湯Ⅱ號), Bo-Sin -Geon-Noi-Tang (補腎健腦湯), Ga-Mi-Tong-Gyu-Hyal-HyeoI-Tang(加味通竅活血湯), So-Jo-Yik-Ji-Bang(疏調益智方), Tong-Gyu-Hwal-Hyeol-Tang-Ga-Gam(通竅活血湯加減), Yik-Sin-Seong-Noi-Tang (益腎醒腦湯) led to the high efficacy.
Background DNA topoisomerases fall into two categories - type Ⅰand typeⅡ. For the type I enzymes. the DNA strands are transiently broken one at a time; for the type II enzymes. by contrast, a pair of stands in a DNA double helix are transiently broken in concert by a dimeric enzyme molecule. The two types can be further divided into four subfamilies : IA, IB, IIA and IIB. DNA topoisomerases solve the topological problems associated with DNA replication, transcription, recombination, and chromatin remodeling by introducing temporary single- or double-strand breaks in the DNA. Camptothecin is an antitumor alkaloid that has been isolated from the Chinese tree. Camptotheca acuminata.. We have developed a procedure for the simultaneous purification of type I and II topoisomerase from HL-60 human leukemia cells, and identified type IB topoisomerase. Methods DNA topoisomerase was purified from HL-60 human leukemia cells by a simple and fast four-step procedure : selective ammonium sulfate precipitation, chromatography on Ultrogel A6 and DNA-cellulose. followed by ultracentrifugation on a glycerol gradient. Enzyme activity, and molecular weight were assayed by measuring the relaxation of supercoiled pUC19 DNA using agarose gel electrophoresis and sodium dodesyl sulfate denaturing gel electrophoresis, respectively, Results Type I and II topoisomerases were isolated from extracted nucleoprotein complexes by glycerol gradient centrifugation, respectively. Human type IB topoisomerasewas purified 8.6-fold as compared to the whole cell homogenate, with 12% yield. The purified type I topoisomerase has a molecular weight of 100 kDa ad determined by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The enzyme relaxes supercoiled DNA in the absence of ATP of Mg2+. Camptothecin inhibited the relaxation activity of type I topoisomerase in pUC19DNA by forming a cleavable complex at various concentratrions (0.4-50 μM). Conclusion The results showed that a type IB topoisomerase has been purified to near homogeneity from HL-60 human leukemia cells, and partial purification of type IIA from small samples was achieved by isolation of cell nuclei. Thus, the potential antitumor activity of a type I and II topoisomerase-targeted drug might be easily screened by testing the drug's ability to cause DNA cleavage in the presence of enzymes.
A clinical analysis was carried out for 19 patients who was treated in Dept. of Neuropsychiatry of Taejon Oriental Medicine Hospital from I aug. 1997 to 31 Jul. 1998 and was ruled out as anxiety disorder. The results were summarized as follows. 1. In the distribution of the sex, ratio between female and male was 1:2.8, distribution of the age was even each age, and the primary motive of the onset were psychological trauma, question of money, discord of a household. 2. As for the duration in disease, the duration from a week to a month had a majority of all, and the most duration of the addmission-treatment was a week. 3. The most common symptom were palpitation ·anxiety, headache·dizziness, chest discomfort, the cases of generalized anxiety disorder and atypical anxiety disorder was a large number. 4. In the aromatherapy of absorptive method, the sort of many used essential oil were Lavenda and Rosewood, in the massage, that were Peppermint and Rosemary. 5. The most used recipes were BUNSIMKIYEM(分心氣飮) HACHULBOSIMTANG(夏朮補心湯), CHUNGGANSOYOSAN(淸肝逍遙散), BANHABAEKCHUCHUNMATANG(半夏白朮天麻湯), CUIBIONDAMTANG(歸脾溫膽湯)etc. 6. In the judgement of efficacy, 9 cases showed good efficacy, 9 cases showed no change, 1 case showed excellent efficacy.
쇠고기의 사태, 갈비 및 등심부위를 8℃에 저장하면서 육질의 변화를 검토하기 위해 전단력가, 근원섬유의 소편화, actomyosin의 추출성 및 ATPase 활성을 측정하였다. 사태 및 등심부위의 전단력가는 저장 6일째 현저하게 낮아졌고, 갈비부위는 저장기간 동안 현저한 차이가 없었다. 저장초기 부위별 전단력가는 갈비, 등심 및 사대부위의 순으로 현저한 차이가 있었으나 저장기간이 경과하면서 갈비 및 등심부위는 비슷하였다. 근원 섬유 소편화도의 경우 사태부위는 저장 6일째 현저한 증가를 보였지만 갈비와 등심부위는 저장기간동안 계속 증가하였다. 근원섬유의 소편화율도 소편화도와 비슷한 양상이었으며, 갈비와 등심부위는 사태부위와 다른 변화를 보였다. Actomyosin의 추출성은 저장초기 갈비, 등심 및 사태부위의 순으로 높게 나타났으며 3일째 모든 부위가 증가하다가 등심부위는 저장 6일째 감소하였다. Actomyosin의 Ng^2+-ATPase 활성의 경우, 사태부위는 저장 3일째 증가하다가 6일째 저장 0일의 수준으로 회복되었고, 갈비 및 등심부위는 비슷한 변화를 나타내었지만 0일째는 등심부위가 갈비부위보다 높게 나타났다. 그리고 사태부위의 Ca^2+-ATPase 활성도 저장 3일째 증가하다가 6일째 감소하였으며, 갈비부위는 저장중 변화가 없었고, 등심부위는 저장기간동안 완만하게 감소하였다. This study was designed to investigate the changes in meat quality of beef shank, rib and loin during storage at 8℃. the shear force value(SFV) of beef shank and loin decreased significantly after 6 days storage, beef loin was no significant difference during storage. The SFV in early storage period was high in the order of beef rib, loin and shank, but the SFV of beef rib and loin was similar in course of storage period. The myofibrillar fragmentation index(MFI) of beef shank increased significantly after 6 days storage, but beef rib and loin increased continuously during storage. The myofibrillar fragmentation ratio was similar to MFI and the changes in beef rib and loin was different to beef shank. The actomyosin extractability in early storage was high in the order of beef rib, loin and shank. The actomyosin extractability after 3 days storage increased in all parts of beef, but beef loin decreased after 6 days storage. In case of Mg^2+-ATPase activity of actomyosin, beef shank increased to 3 days storage, and this reached the level of 0 day after 6 days. The Mg^2+-ATPase activity of beef rib and loin was similar, but beef rib in early storage was higher than beef loin. The Ca^2+-TPase activity of beef shank increased to 3 days and decreased after 6 days storage, beef rib was not different during storage and beef loin decreased slightly during storage.
