        시사교양잡지 『사상계』의 사진기록물과 기록학적 가치

        The monthly news and culture magazine, ‘Sasanggye,’ established by Jang Jun-ha from 1953 to 1970, served as a platform for government criticism and intellectual representation. The magazine created photographic -essays covering a variety of topics and utilized images as a visually impactful tool with news value. This paper aims to critically examine the photographic-essays within ‘Sasanggye’ as archival records, shedding light on their intrinsic value. Before delving into this assessment, the paper thoroughly explores the developmental process and characteristics of these photographic-essays. And based on the content divisions within the main text, the paper categorized the themes captured in the photographic essays into politics, economics, society, culture, and miscellaneous topics. It then introduced representative photographicessays. From an archival perspective, looking at photographs involves elucidating that photographs carry meanings beyond mere data. The photographic essays in ‘Sasanggye’ serve as photographic records providing evidence of 1960s Korean society and encapsulating crucial visual information. Furthermore, the photographic essays in ‘Sasanggye’ hold a historical significance in the aspect of Korean magazine documentary photography. The photo-essays in ‘Sasanggye’ carry worth in the history of photography and encompass evidential and informational values as photographic records. 장준하가 창간한 『사상계(思想界)』(1953년~1970년)는 당시 권위주의정부를 정면으로 비판하며 한국 사회의 지성인을 대변했던 월간 시사교양지다. 사상계 는 다양한 시사 주제를 사진화보로 제작하여 사진을 뉴스밸류를 갖는 시각적 도구로 활용했다. 본 논문은 이러한 사상계 의 사진화보를 기록물로 바라보고 그 가치를 고찰하고자 한다. 가치 평가에 앞서 『사상계』 사진화보의 전개과정과 특징을 전반적으로살펴보았다. 그리고 사진화보가 담고 있는 주제를 본문 내용 구분을기준으로 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화면 및 기타로 나눈 뒤 대표 화보를 소개했다. 기록학적 관점으로 사진을 바라보는 것이란, 사진이 단순 데이터 그이상의 의미를 갖고 있음을 확인하는 과정이다. 『사상계』 사진화보는1960년대 사회를 증거하며 주요 시각정보를 담고 있는 사진기록물이다. 또한 『사상계』 사진화보는 한국 잡지 기록사진(다큐멘터리사진)의측면에서 사진사적 의미를 갖는다. 본 논문을 통해 『사상계』의 사진화보가 미술사의 분과 학문의 사진사적 가치를 갖고 있을 뿐만 아니라사진기록물로서 기록학적 차원의 증거적, 정보적 가치를 충실하게 갖춘 한국 현대사회의 기록 유산임을 밝히고자 한다.

        한방약물로부터 항고지혈증 치료약물개발(I) -수종 한약재의 항고지혈증 활성검색-

        Twenty-four Oriental herbal medicines including Platycodi Radix and Scutellariae Radix, etc., which have been used for the cure of hyperlipidemia, coronary heart, disease were evaluated for the 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A(HMG-CoA) reductase inhibition and antioxidant effect on a free radical, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) in vitro, and antihyperlipidemic effect on hyperlipidemic rats induced by Triton WR-1339 in vivo. 80% MeOH extract of eight herbs including Scutellariae Radix, Coptidis Rhizoma, Paeoniae Radix Rubra, Moutan Cortex Radicis, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam, Cinnamomi Ramulus and Crataegi Fructus inhibited the HMG-CoA reductase activities and exhibited a radical-trapping action on a stable free radical, DPPH. On Triton WR-1339-induced hyperlipidemic rats, four herbs including Scutellariae Radix, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam and Cinnamomi Ramulus showed respectively the significant suppression of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, phospholipid and LDL-cholesterol levels and serum transaminase(ALT and AST) activities. From these results, it is suggested that each 80% MeOH extract of Scutellariae Radix, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam and Cinnamomi Ramulus have effective antihyperlipidemic action against hyperlipidemia.

        Fluid-Solid Interaction Analysis for Improvement in the Dehumidification Characteristics of a Hollow Fiber Membrane Module for Use in a Pneumatic Power Unit

        In this study, a flow analysis and a fluid-solid interaction analysis were performed on a hollow fiber membrane module used for dehumidification of a pneumatic system. To ensure the reliability of the flow analysis results, we performed the dehumidification experiment at a temperature of 30 ◦ C and a relative humidity(RH) of 30% on a module with a similar to that of the analyses. shape only the part containing hollow fiber membranes was considered. Results of the dehumidification experiments were compared with the results of the flow analysis. The results of dehumidification experiments and the flow analysis had a difference of approximately 5%, and although the five models had different grid numbers, the results of flow analysis showed a difference of about 1% in the dehumidification efficiency ensuring the accuracy. A one-way fluid-solid interaction analysis with various materials was performed. From the result, we found that the baffle having the largest shape deformation was the one made of polyethylene material, which was then subjected to a 2-way fluid-solid interaction at 0.53 bar, 1 bar, 5 bar, and 10 bar. The fluid flow and the dehumidification characteristics were determined for different shapes of the deformed baffle. Finally, the effects of three types of flow paths based on the positions of the inlet and the outlet on the baffle deformation and the dehumidification efficiency were studied. We found that dehumidification efficiency was highest when inlet and outlet were positioned in a straight line.

        지황(地黃)의 품질평가

        The dried roots of Rehmannia glutinosa (RG) have been used in the traditional medicine for treatment of diabetes, fever and dysuria, etc. In order to investigate the quality evaluation of the dried roots of RG, we conducted the physico-chemical and biological evaluation method. The amount of catalpol from commercial samples is very diverse about $0.00{\sim}3.89%$ by using HPLC method, because it is easily decomposed by processing of RG. So, we should try to identify the correlation with the contents of catalpol and biological activities of RG. We chose 3 samples which were a wide difference of catalpol contents between each sample (Sample-I; 3.4%, Sample-II; 2.8%, Sample-III; 0.05%). Sample-I and Sample-II were found to be more effective than Sample-III on the DPPH free radical scavenging effect and inhibitory effect on $H_2O_2-catalyzed$ lipid peroxidation in rat liver in vitro. And, Sample-I and Sample-II exhibited more significant effects than Sample-III on accelerating actions of the small and large intestinal transport, and diuretic action in mice. So, it is suggested that the quantitative determination of catalpol should be required for the tandardization of the dried roots of RG.

        미국 뉴욕의 주택 차임 규제 제도 연구

        Rent regulation in New York City takes the form of rent control and rent stabilization. Rent Control program, which has been maintained since the World War II, establishes the maximum base rents(MBR) for the each controlled housing, renews it biannually, and sets forth the rent increase cap as 7.5% per year. This powerful program is understood as an exceptional measure to offer the continuous residency for senior tenants who have resided in the rent controlled accommodations for over 50 years. Rent Stabilization program, adopted in 1969, covers the two-thirds of the rented accommodations in New York City. The crucial point of this program is that the Rent Guidelines Board sets the rent increase for 1 year- or 2 year-lease renew and lease agreements each year with due considerations of market conditions. Also, the Owner is obliged to offer renewal of lease, unless there is a statutory reason for refusal to renewal of lease stipulated in statutes. To introduce the rent regulations with little backlash of the market, various factors influencing the fair market price should be considered in the rent cap or the maximum increase, and the legally grounded exceptions should be allowed. 뉴욕시의 제도는 차임통제제도와 차임안정제도로 2원적으로 구성되어 있다. 차임통제제도는 제2차대전 시기에 도입된 이래 유지되는 정책이다. 차임통제제도에 따르면, 그 적용 대상 임대주택에 관한최대차임은 개별적으로 산정되는데 이는 2년마다 갱신된다. 또한 연간 차임의 인상률은 7.5%로 고정되어 있다. 차임통제제도는 매우 강력한 규제제도이지만, 그 적용 대상 주택은 많지 아니하며, 50년이상 장기적으로 해당 주택에서 거주하고 있는 세입자 및 그 승계인들의 주거 계속성을 보장하는 차원의 예외적 제도로 이해된다. 차임안정제도는 1969년대 이래로 현재까지 유지되는 정책으로 뉴욕시 임대주택의 2/3 가량이 그적용대상이 되고 있다. 차임안정제도는 법령에 따라 공정하게 구성된 차임가이드라인위원회가 매해임대차 계약을 새로 체결할 때, 갱신할 때, 1년 기간의 임대차, 2년 기간의 임대차에 적용되는 인상률의 상한을 여러 시장 요소들을 고려하여 결정한다. 차임안정화주택의 최초임대료도 법적인 규제를 받으며, 결국 최초임대료 및 인상률의 상한에 의해 전체적으로 차임이 규제된다. 또한, 임대인은 법령에따라 제한적 예외 사유를 제외하고는 임대차를 갱신해줄 의무가 있다. 우리나라에서 소위 전월세 상한제로 불리는 차임규제제도를 도입하기 위하여는, 차임 상한이나 인상률 상한을 정하는 데에 있어 다양한 요소를 고려하고, 법적으로 규제된 차임을 증감 조정하는 합리적인 예외 사유 등을 규정함으로써, 시장의 반발을 최소화하고 실효성을 높이는 방향으로 개정안이 대폭 정비될 필요가 있다.

        The Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology is a branch of the Oriental Medicine that treat of physiological and pathological diseases of the female. The origin of the Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology begins at the pregnancy and delivery of the women. Therefore it has significant meanings about the birth of human beings. The field of this study has been very important to the Oriental Medicine. Accordingly the present writer is planning to study of the level of the Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology and its effects in those days, through Heo Jun(許浚)'s 『Eonhaetaesanjipyo』(『諺解胎産集要』) that is a work of the Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology books in the history of Korean Oriental Medicine.

        한방약물로부터 항고지혈증 치료약물개발(2) - 수종 한약재의 항고지혈증 효과 -

        In the previous reports, we selected 80% MeOH extract of 7 herbs including Scutellariae Radix(SR), Paeoniae Radix Rubra(PRR), Moutan Cortex(MC), Angelicae Gigantis Radix(AGR), Crataegi Fructus(CF), Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam(BCT) and Cinnamomi Ramulus(CR), which exhibited the inhibitory effect on HMG-CoA reductase and DPPH free radical scavenging effect in vitro, and antihyperlipidemic effects on antihyperlipidemic rats induced by Triton WR 1339 in vivo. Among them, SR, MC, AGR and BCT showed significant suppression of elevated serum LDL-cholesterol level, and AGR and CF showed significant liver weight increase on high cholesterol diet induced hyperlipidemic mice. And, SR, PRR, AGR, BCT and CR significantly suppressed the elevated serum total cholesterol and triglyceride levels on corn oil induced hyperlipidemic rats. Then, in order to research new antihyperlipidemic agents from the oriental medicinal herbs, we chose SR, AGR, CR and BCT which have the antihyperlipidemic effect in vitro and in vivo, and those herbs were systematically fractionated with organic solvent. EtOAc fraction of SR, hexane fraction of BCT, AGR and chloroform fraction of CR exhibited remarkably inhibitory effect on HMG-CoA reductase activity.

        공압시스템 제습용 중공사막 모듈의 하우징 형태에 따른 제습효율 특성 연구

        In this study, flow analysis and dehumidification experiments were performed on hollow fiber membrane module to confirm the dehumidification characteristics for its different configurations. The CFD for the three different models was conducted using 30℃ temperature and 30%RH inlet humidity for quantitative analysis. Each model has different shape parameters i.e. the number of baffles. Comparison between flow analysis results and dehumidification experiment results revealed a percentage error of about 5%. The difference in relative humidity between the inlet and outlet for each model was calculated using flow analysis data. It was established that the difference in relative humidity of the inlet and outlet for the refined model with three baffles was highest among the three modeled modules of hollow fiber membrane module, i.e. around 9%.
