        Tachinus (Tachinus ) javanus Cameron (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Tachyporinae) New to Korea with a Key to the Known Species of the Genus Tachinus Gravenhorst

        붉은뾰족반날개[Tachinus (Tachinus) javanus Cameron]를 한반도에서 처음으로 보고한다. 기재문, 외형사진과 식별형질의 그림 및 북방뾰족반날개속의 검색표를제시한다. 큰갈색뾰족반날개[Tachinus (Tachinus) yezoensis Li]의 수컷형질을 추가하여 재기재한다. Tachinus (Tachinus) javanus Cameron is identified for the first time in the Korean Peninsula. Description, illustrations of habitus and diagnostic characters, and a key to the known species of Korean Tachinus Gravenhorst are provided. Tachinus (Tachinus) yezoensis Li is redescribed with male characteristics.

        고용안정성과 삶의 질 간의 관계에서 고용 관련 만족도의 매개효과 검증 : 고령 근로자를 중심으로

        본 연구에서는 노인 일자리의 고용 안정성과 노인의 전반적인 삶의 질이 어떠한 관계를 가지는지 살펴보고 나아가 고령층의 고용 안정성과 전반적인 삶의 질 사이에서 임금 만족도, 근무 환경 만족도, 전반적인 직무 만족도의 변인으로 이루어진 고용 조건 만족도의 매개 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 7차 고령화연구조사패널(KLoSA) 조사 데이터에서 임금 근로자만을 추출하여 변인들 사이의 상관관계와 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 고용 안정성과 고용 조건 만족도는 정적관계를 가진 반면, 고용 안정성과 고용 조건 만족도 모두 전반적인 삶의 질과는 부적관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 고용 안정성이 향상될수록 고용 조건에 대한 만족도는 올라가지만, 전반적인 삶의 질은 하락한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 고령층을 대상으로 한 연구를 진행할 경우 다른 연령층과는 다른 시각으로 접근해야 한다는 점과 노인 일자리의 질적 측면을 통하여 고령층의 삶의 질을 분석하려고 했다는 점에서 기존의 연구들과의 차별성 및 시사점을 가진다. In this article, we investigated the overall relationship between the employment stability of senior wage earners and their quality of life. Moreover, we analyzed a mediated effect of satisfaction variables: income satisfaction, work environment satisfaction, and overall job satisfaction. For the research, we used the data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) and analyzed the data set of 1,318 senior wage earners. The result showed that there exists a positive relationship between job stability and job satisfaction, while the overall quality of life has a negative relation with both the job stability and job satisfaction. This study showed a contradictory result from previous studies that claim that the quality of employment such as job stability and job satisfaction has a positive relationship with the quality of life, and the result implies that the research on senior wage earners requires perspectives different from those on other age groups and social classes.

        누낭비강문합술에서 얻은 누낭조직의 조직병리학적 소견과 임상적 연관성

        Purpose: To determine the correlation of the clinical characteristics and histopathologic findings of lacrimal sac after external dacyrocystorhinostomy (DCR). Methods: From March 2008 to June 2009, 49 lacrimal sac tissues of 47 patients were obtained after external DCR and divided according to fibrosis and inflammatory findings. The correlation of preoperative duration of symptoms with NLD obstruction, symptoms of recurrence and outcomes of the operation to the histopathologic findings were retrospectively evaluated. Results: The mean age of the patients was 58.83 ± 11.49 years and the mean duration of preoperative symptoms was 65.2 ± 69.05 months. Forty-three cases (88%) maintained good openings and 30 cases (61%) had no recurring symptoms over 6 months after the operation. Among the significant symptoms, severe subepithelial inflammations were observed more frequently at shorter duration. However, the fibrosis showed a positive relation with the preoperative duration of symptoms (Spearman correlation test, p<0.05). Most failures were found in the severe inflammation and fibrosis groups and were recovered with anti-inflammatory treatment. Conclusions: Inflammation and fibrosis of the lacrimal sac could be an important prognostic and predictive factor of outcomes of DCR. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2011;52(4):385-391

        눈물주머니 코안연결술 후 발생한 비결핵성 마이코박테리아에 의한 피부감염 1예

        Purpose: To report a case of skin infection caused by nontuberculous mycobacterium after external dacryocystorhinostomy. Case summary: A 53-year-old female patient presented to our clinic with a tear on the left eye, although a silicone tube was intubated. Two weeks after external dacryocystorhinostomy, swelling and redness were found on the operation wound. Therefore, the patient received oral antibiotics and steroid treatments but did not improve. The mass was irregularly shaped and became larger; thus, excisional biopsy was performed at 2 months after external dacryocystorhinostomy. A chronic granulomatous tissue was detected in the excisional biopsy, and antimycobacterial medications were started in consultation with an internist. A moderate colony was observed, and rod-shaped bacteria Mycobacterium abscessus was found in the culture 47 days after acid-fast culture was performed. The patient was diagnosed with a periocular infection caused by nontuberculous mycobacterium. Finally, the lesion improved. Conclusions: Although patients with granulomatous tissue receive numerous treatments, if the lesion is not improved, then additional excisional biopsy and culture examination to identify infection by nontuberculous mycobacterium are necessary.         구부러진 눈꺼풀판을 가진 노인성 아래눈꺼풀속말림의 임상적 특징

        Purpose: To report the clinical features and surgical results for lower lid entropion with kinked tarsus compared with entropion with weakened capsulopalpebral fascia. Methods: From March 2008 to December 2009, 20 patients (24 eyes) with lower lid entropion were examined. The patients were divided into the aggravated entropion with kinked tarsus group or the weakened capsulopalpebral fascia group based on the height of tarsus, the shapes of the lower lid and tarsus, and conjunctiva changes. For treatment of entropion in the kinked tarsus group, full thickness tarsotomy with rotatory suture (tarsal fracture operation) was performed, and in the weakened CPF group, a CPF tight procedure was performed. The results of the operations were retrospectively evaluated. Results: The mean age of the patients with entropion in the kinked tarsus group (15 cases) was 66.7 ± 11.4 years, and the mean age of the patients with entropion in the weakened CPF group (9 cases) was 67.2 ± 6.2 years. The height of the lower lid tarsus of each group was 3.80 ± 0.39 mm and 5.20 ± 0.30 mm, respectively. Except for one case of recurrence after tarsal fracture operation in the kinked tarsus group and reoperation with CPF tightening, there were no significant complications or recurrence in either group. Conclusions: Entropion with kinked tarsus was more common than entropion with weakened CPF in the present study.         근로시간과 일-가정 갈등 및 이직의향

        한국의 실근로시간은 다른 나라와 비교해볼 때 매우 긴 편이다. 기업에서 장시간근로, 초과근로가 일상적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이로 인하여 한국 근로자들의 여가시간은 상대적으로 부족한 편이다. 이는 필연적으로 근로자의 가정생활 및 나아가 삶의 질에 부정적 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 근로시간 및 여가시간과 일-가정 갈등 및 이직의향 간 관계를 조사하였다. 관련 선행연구에 대한 분석에 기반하여 초과근로시간, 가사노동시간, 여가시간과 일-가정 갈등, 가정-일 갈등, 일-여가 갈등, 그리고 이직의향 간의 영향관계에 대한 가설을 설정하고 근로자들을 대상으로 설문지방법을 통한 실증조사를 실시하여 이를 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초과근로는 일-가정 갈등과 일-여가 갈등에 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 일-가정 갈등, 가정-일 갈등, 일-여가 갈등 모두 이직의향에 정의영향을 미쳤다. 더불어 일이 초래하는 갈등요인과 가정이 초래하는 갈등요인이 따로 존재하는 것이 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 근로자의 근로생활의 질과 삶의 질을 제고하고 또 이직의향을 감소시키기 위해서는 무엇보다 일상적인 초과근로를 줄이고 전체 근로시간을 단축해서 가정생활과 여가시간에 보다 많은 시간을 투입하는 것이 바람직하다는 점을 시사하고 있다. For the past two decades, working hours of South Korean workers have been steadily reduced. Nonetheless, South Korean workers still work long hours compared with their counterparts in other countries. Thus they have to face the double burden of work and household running and these difficulties make them leave their job or become an involuntary part-time worker. Long working hours cause not only the low labor productivity but also has negative effects on work-family balance and the quality of life. Work-family conflict has becoming a growing topic of interest among researchers due to its implications for both organizations and employees. In the past decade, the focus on work-family conflict studies has shifted from work to family conflict to include family to work conflict. The proposition that work-family conflict can encourage employees to consider leaving their organizations. In fact, turnover intention is one of the most studied job related outcomes in the work-family conflict literature. Despite this interest, few studies have sought to explore turnover intention associated with work-family conflict in South Korea. This research analyses the effects of bi-directional work-family conflict, work-leisure conflict on turnover intention. The present study also attempted to find out whether time for work, domestic work and leisure have effects on the work-family conflict, family-work conflict and work-leisure conflict. By employing a sample of 205 questionnaires from employees working in companies in South Korea, this paper used hierarchical regression analysis. The observations we can make about these results are as follows. Firstly, direct relationships were found between two types of conflict(work-family and family-work) and turnover intention. It also has been shown that work-leisure conflict were identified as variables affecting employee's turnover intention. Secondly, resulting from this study is the fact that overtime work caused more work-family conflict and work-leisure conflict. In addition, increasing domestic work hours have lead to more family-work conflict. It was consistent with the result from precedent research. However it is noticeable that the hypothesis that increasing leisure hours will have a positive effect on work-family conflict was not proved.
