Implant surgery is generally accepted as the best technique to replace the teeth completely and there are many technical progresses in dental implantology. Development of CT(Computerized Tomography) and 3D visualization technique help to make the treatment plan and the surgical navigation assists the dentist during the intra-operative procedure. Regardless of the technical progress the "freehand" drilling of implant is performed frequently in the numerous implant surgery. It is still the most demanding technique to the dentist and patient. In this paper, visualization of motion trajectory in RCM manipulator based on force/torque sensor is studied. The robot and the operator perform an task by cooperative manipulation. The force/torque sensor is attached to the tool and specifically designed for visualization during the implant surgery. Data acquisition board, LabVIEW software and ATI force/torque sensor used for smooth and accurate sensing. The double parallelogram mechanism can provide a fixed entry.

When the laundry rotates in the washing machine, it tends to lean toward one side. This tendency causes a serious vibration. The balance of washing machine plays an important role which reduces the vibration by injecting the sand or the salt water into the balance of washing machine. The hot plate welder is used to prevent from outflow of contents. The hot plate welder brings about many problems which is concerned with accident. The workers are protected by loading/unloading system for balance of washing machine in hot plate welder. This system is required direction recognition and location information in the balance. In this paper, development of machine vision system for recognition direction of balance in washing machine is studied. Pattern recognition techniques are used to extract an geometric characteristics from the balance of washing machine and to acquire the most similar form the next image of balance. The data acquired by the pattern matching is used for recognition direction of balance. The image processing software for the system is developed using LabVIEW.

In the semiconductor and optical industry, a new transport system which can replace the conventional transport system is required. The Transport systems are driven by the magnetic field and conveyer belts. The magnetic field may damage semiconductor and the contact force may scratch the optical lens. The ultrasonic wave driven system can solve these problems. In this semiconductor and optical industry, the non-contact system is required for reducing the damages. The ultrasonic transportation is the solution of the problem In this paper, the ultrasonic levitation system for levitation object are proposed. The 3D vibration profiles of the beam are measured by Laser Scanning Vibrometer for verifying the vibration characteristics of the system and the amplitudes of the beam and the levitation heights of object are measured fore evaluating the performance.

In recent years, as the robot technology is developed, the researches on the artificial muscle actuator that enable robot to move dexterously like biological organ become active. The widely used materials for artificial muscle are the shape memory alloy and the electro-active polymer. These actuators have the higher energy density than the electro-mechanical actuator such as motor. However, there are some drawbacks for actuator. SMA has the hysterical dynamic characteristics. In this paper, the simulation of anthropomophic robotic hand is performed using ADAMS and the segmented binary control for reducing the hysteresis of SMA is proposed. SMA is controlled by thermo-electric module. The relations between the force and the hysteresis are developed to verify the validity of the suggested method.

Methods of major transport system used in many industry field are conveyor belt, magnetic levitation system and indexing system. It is an indispensable device in many fields and especially it is very important in the factory automation. However, the conventional transport system can damage precision optical components by the contact force and destroy the inner structure of semiconductor by the magnetic field. The new transport system for transporting without damage is required and the ultrasonic wave transport system has been proposed to replace the conventional transport system. In this paper, the object transport system using the ultrasonic wave is developed. Traveling waves are generated through the use of the ultrasonic wave generator to two ends of the beam. The modelling equation on steady state response of ultrasonic vibration is expressed through normal mode expansion. Natural frequency of flexural beam is estimated. Transport direction of the object is analyzed according to phase difference and frequency. In addition, it is verified by experiment.

The hot plate welder is used to prevent from outflow of contents. The thermal characteristics of the hot plate and the balance have to be considered for reducing defects of plastic welding. In this paper, the static analysis of the balance of washing machine under thermal load in the hot plate welding process is studied. The temperature distribution of the hot plate and the balance of washing machine is confirmed by finite element analysis. The temperatures of the hot plate are measured by the infrared temperature sensor in order to seek the thermal contact resistance. The thermal strain of the plastic balance is predicted by thermal-structural coupled analysis.

Recently, practical scope of optical elements broadens considerably such as the optical communication, the optical instrument and electronic products. Also, demands of optical components are growing due to increase of productivity. Object transport systems are driven typically by the magnetic field and the conveyer belt. However, conventional transport systems are not adequate for transportation of optical elements and semiconductors. Because conveyor belts can damage precision optical elements by the contact force and magnetic systems can destroy the inner structure of semiconductor by the magnetic field. In this paper, the levitation transport system using ultrasonic wave is developed for transporting precision elements without damages. This transport system is using 2-mode ultrasonic wave excitation and modes shapes of flexural beam are evaluated by the theoretical analysis.
