Invention of the atomic force microscopy (AFM) has provided a powerful measurement capability for sub-nano scale science and technology. Since invention, AFM has been significantly improved, and numerous innovative mechanisms and measuring modes have been developed. As the progress of miniaturization in patterns and photoresist structures in semiconductor, microelectronics, and glass industry, along with the fast advance of the extremely versatile nanotechnology applications, in a great number of industrial processes calls for reliable and comparable quantitative dimensional measurements in the micro- and submicrometer range. To make matters worse, there has been an increasing demand for measuring characteristics of sidewalls like line edge and line width roughness, wave pattern of sidewalls and angles of overhang features. Realizing that currently available CD-AFM or CD-SEM techniques do not satisfy this demand, new measurement standards are required for angles of micro- and nano-structures. In spite of the many capabilities of AFM, quite a few conditions have to be considered to measure critical dimensions (CD) quantitatively with repeatability and reproducibility. Piezo hysteresis, drift, tip shape and consistency, scanner orthogonality and other things are included in the conditions. The requirements and process to measure critical angle of nano- and micro-structure using AFM will be described in this paper.
공학인증 기초수학에서 학습부진 학생 학업성취도 향상을 위한 방안 탐색

2008학년도 대전 소재 C 대학교 공과대학 신입학생 전체에 대하여 미분적분학 기초학력진단평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 보충지도가 필요하다고 판단되는 하위 13%의 학생들에게 1·2학기 동안 수준별 기초보충수업을 실시하였으며, 기초보충수업을 받은 학생들이 그렇지 않은 학생들에 비하여 학기말 성적에서 유의미하게 높은 성취도증가를 보였다. 특히 대학입학전형 방법의 다양화에 따라 고등학교에서 미분적분학을 이수하지 않고 입학한 학생들의 경우에서도 보충학습을 통하여 정규미적분학 수업을 따라 갈 수 있는 기초와 동기를 부여하였다. 본 논문은 미분적분학 학습 부진 공대 신입생들에게 학기별 다양한 형태의 수준별 보충수업을 실시한 후 성취도를 분석하였으며, 그 형태에 따른 효과를 알아보았고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 공과대학에서 수학 성적 부진 학생들에 대한 성취도 향상 프로그램을 제안하였다. We carried out mathematics diagnostic tests for all first year engineering students at C University in Daejeon in 2008, covering precalculus and basic calculus. Then we divided into two classes such as regular and supplementary classes. The supplementary class students are lower 13% students. Then we gave extra classes for these students to support their basic and elementary calculus skills. As a result, these supplementary students received a meaningful accomplishment at the final exam. This paper analyzes the results and effects of various types of supplementary classes such as education by level, and proposes some strategies to enhance mathematics learning, particularly for under achieving first year engineering students.

유아들의 집중력 향상을 위한 지능형로봇과 클래식 음악의 융합

본 논문은 ‘지능형 로봇과 클래식 음악과의 만남’이라는 주제로 클래식 연주회를 개최하여 클래식 공연에서의 지능형 로봇의 활용이 유아들의 공연에 대한 집중력 및 클래식 음악과의 상호교감 증진에 미치는 효과를 살펴본 것이다. 연구 방법으로는 진행과정으로 참석 학부모들에게 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 설문 조사 결과 전체 응답 35% 이상이 지능형 로봇을 활용한 음악회가 기존의 음악회 보다 집중력이 향상되었다고 응답하였다. 본 연구 결과 지능형 로봇의 활용이 유아들의 연주회에 대한 집중력 향상과 로봇에 대한 기대효과가 넓어 졌음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 앞으로 과학 기술과 음악이라는 융합적 만남에서 지능형 로봇이 단순한 사회자로써의 참여가 아닌 좀 더 다양한 역할을 부여 할 수 있는 콘텐츠 제작이 이루어 질 수 있기를 기대한다. This paper is a search on effect the causes of children’s concentration improvement by use of intelligent robot hold classic with topic ‘join of intelligent robots and classical music’. We carry out a survey targeting school parent participants in concert. Some 35% of the people surveyed say that they are improving children’s concentration better by concert utilization of intelligent robots than classic concert. As a result, utilization of intelligent robots is able to improve the children’s concentration of child’s listening to music. Also, it has aided the understanding of robots. The fusion of science technology and music is expected to development in to a case method with a diverse roles in the future.

색차계를 이용한 TiO<sub>2</sub> 광촉매의 활성 평가에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 막 두께가 다른 TiO<sub>2</sub> 광촉매 막을 제조하여 메틸렌블루의 광분해 반응에서의 UV 강도, 메틸렌블루 흡착량, 막 두께가 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. TiO<sub>2</sub> 광촉매 막은 titanium tetraisopro-poxide를 원료로 감압유기금속화학기상증착법으로 석영기판에 제작하였으며, 석영기 판에 코팅된 TiO<sub>2</sub> 광촉매 막의 활성은 색차계를 이용하여 평가하였다. 광촉매의 막 두께가 증가할수록 광촉매 활성이 증가하였으며, 메틸렌블루 흡착양이 클수록 분해율은 증가되었다. 또한 자외선의 광강도가 클수록 분해속도가 컸다. In this research we studied the preparation of TiO<sub>2</sub> photocatalyst films which have different film thickness and also examine the primary effect film thickness, concentration of adsorption and UV intensity on the photocatalytic decomposition of methylene blue. TiO<sub>2</sub> photocatalyst films were coated from quartz glass substrates using titanium tetraisopropoxide by low pressure metal organic chemical vapor deposition (LPMOCVD). The photocatalytic activity of TiO<sub>2</sub> thin film on quartz glass was characterized by color meter. The decomposition rate of methylene blue was increased with increasing film thickness. The decomposition rate of methylene blue was increased relatively higher concentration of adsorption. A strong UV intensity was good decomposition rate of methylene blue.
지능형 로봇과 클래식 음악의 융합을 이용한 어린이의 집중력 향상효과 분석

This paper is a search on effect the causes of children’s concentration improvement by use of intelligent robot hold classic with topic ‘join of intelligent robots and classical music’. We carry out a survey targeting school parent participants in concert. Some 35% of the people surveyed say that they are improving children’s concentration better by concert utilization of intelligent robots than classic concert. he result shows that the using of the intelligent robot for children from 6 to 7 in the classical music concert has a great impact on improving their concentration and 37.1% of the subjects said it was helpful to their creativity. On the other hand, it is necessary that a variety of components of robots and music tailored for children should be chosen.

In this study, we investigated the quality characteristics of Korean soybean paste, Doenjang, fermented for 6 weeks at room temperature with the addition of 0, 10, 20 and 30% garlic. Samples were analyzed in one-week intervals. The lightness decreased in all samples as the fermentation period and garlic concentration increased. Yellow index decreased in weeks 5~6 compared with weeks 0-1, for which the values were lower for the garlic-added Doenjang than the control. The pH increased, greatly reducung the acidity in week 1 compared with week 0. Significant differences in the pH and acidity were not observed among the sample groups. Amino type nitrogen contents increased continuously up to weeks 5, displaying no significant differences among the sample groups at weeks 5 and 6. In addition, reduction in the sugar content increased depending on the fermentation period. It increased in all sample groups by about 2.5 times after 6 weeks compared with the initial levels. Isoflavone content was also reduced generally depending on the fermentation period. In the early fermentation periods, the aglycone contents were the higher than the glycosides, while the glycoside contents increased over the fermentation period. The presence of Bacillus was not significantly different among the garlic added groups, but yeast was lower in the Doenjang with high garlic content.
