The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials and assistance for developing a nutritional education program targeting marriage immigrant women, and it was carried out on 86 female marriage immigrants living in the Gyeongbuk region. An average age of the female marriage immigrants who participated in this survey were 28.6 years, and their home countries were the Philippines (32.6%), Vietnam (29.1%), and so on. Exactly 59.3% of subjects had been married for 1∼5 years, and 40.7% of the subjects had an education status of less than middle school graduation. The majority of them (65.1%) had one more children, and 51.2% of subjects were a part of a nuclear-family, with the husband``s age between 40∼49 years old (58.1%). Concern for nutrition label was significantly different according to number of children (P<0.01), period of marriage (P<0.001), and education level (P<0.05). It was demonstrated that a higher level of education was associated with a higher need to learn about nutritional information. Understanding nutritional facts and knowledge was significantly higher among the women with two children than no child (P<0.05), period of marriage >10 years than <1 year (P<0.01), and education level of college & university graduation than less than middle school (P<0.05). Sixty percent of the women surveyed participated in the education program of ``Korean language`` as they were in their country, and the most preferred education program was ``Korean dietary life and culture`` (39.5%). Regarding participation and educational method, the majority of subjects responded that they wanted to learn nutritional education in a cooking academy or school (52.9%) and public health center (34.1%).
MP3 Player 제품 중 희유금속(Ni, Co, W, Pd, In) 분석을 위한 전처리 방법 비교 및 분포 특성에 관한 연구

세계적인 자원민족주의(Resource nationalism) 영향에 따라 희유금속의 확보가 국가적인 차원에서 중요한 과제가 되고 있다. 이에 따라 희유금속을 안정적으로 공급하기 위해 폐기된 전기·전자제품에 함유된 희유금속을 회수하기 위한 기술개발 연구가 진행되고 있으나, 국내에서는 휴대폰을 제외한 소형 전기전자제품에 대한 연구는 희박하다. 본 연구에서는 사용하지 않고 가정에 보관하고 있는 전기전자제품 중 MP3 플레이어를 대상으로 희유금속 재활용 가능성을 평가하기 위하여 니켈, 코발트, 텅스텐, 팔라듐, 인듐을 분석하여 분포특성을검토하였다. 또한, 폐전기·전자제품 중 희유금속을 분석하는 방법에 따라 폐기물의 경제적 가치를 판단하는 데 영향을 미치기 때문에, 전처리 방법에 따른 산분해 정도를 비교하기 위하여, 마이크로웨이브 분해와 핫플레이트 분해방법을 적용하여 실험하였다. 희유금속 5종 분석결과 니켈>>텅스텐>코발트>인듐>팔라듐 순의 농도로 검출되었다. 코발트, 니켈, 팔라듐의 함량농도는 각각 0.019%, 1.6%, 0.004%으로 나타났고, 일본에서 분석한 IC 레코드의 결과(0.035%, 3.1%, 0.009%)와 USB 메모리 스틱(0.061%, 1.4%, 0.001%) 결과와 비교하여 유사한 수준이었다. 전처리방법 비교결과는 비교적 유사하게 나타났으나, 핫플레이트 분해방법이 상대적으로 높은 값을 나타내었다. Securing rare metals has been a top priority at the national level as resource nationalism is sweeping worldwide with the depletion of mineral resources and deteriorating profitability of mining. Globally, there are growing interest and investment in urban mines that recycle rare metals from waste equipment. In this study, we examined rare metals contained in electrical and electronic products that might be stored at home without being used. MP3 players were selected as target products. Five kinds of rare metals (Ni, Co, W, Pd, and In) which can be recycled in MP3 players were selected. Microwave digestion and hot-plates digestion methods were compared. Rare metals were detected in the order of Ni >> W> Co> In> Pd. The contents of Co, Ni, and Pd (0.019%, 1.6%, and 0.004%, respectively) were similar with those from Japan`s IC Recorders (0.035%, 3.1%, and 0.009%) and USB Memory sticks (0.061%, 1.4%, and 0.001%). The results of two pre-treatment methods (Microwave and aqua hot-plates digestion) were generally similar, while the results of hot-plates digestion method were a little higher.
이성질체 유형과 주성분 분석 비교를 통한 소각시설 주변 토양 중 다이옥신 발생원 추정과 오염특성 해석

본 연구에서는 소각시설 주변 토양 중에서 검출된 다이옥신의 발생원을 추정하고 오염특성을 해석하기 위하여 이성질체 유형 분석과 주성분 분석(PCA; Principle component analysis)결과를 비교 검토하였다. 소각시설 주변 토양 중 다이옥신 농도는 0.043∼7.537pg I-TEQ/g dry (총 24개 지점, 평균 2.0 pg I-TEQ/g dry)로 조사되었다. 토양에서 검출된 다이옥신의 이성질체 유형을 분석한 결과, 소각 시설 배출가스의 영향을 받은 것으로 판단된 지점이 1개 지점이었고 농약성분인 PCP(pentachlorophenol)의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타난 지점은 4개이었다. 한편 주성분 분석 결과에서는 1개 지점이 소각시설의 영향을 받았고, 5개 지점이 PCP의 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 두 가지 해석 방법을 비교한 결과, 4개 지점에서 오염원이 일치하는 결과를 나타내었다. 따라서 이들 방법을 병행하는 것이 토양 중 다이옥신의 오염특성을 해석하는 있어 단일 방법을 사용하는 것보다 객관적이며, 오염원 해석에서 발생하는 오차를 보완할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. The aims of this study is to estimate sources of PCDD/Fs by comparing PCA with result of isomer profile analysis and to grasp the contamination level of PCDD/Fs. PCDD/Fs concentration in soil was 0.043~7.537pg I-TEQ/g dry (average 2.0 pg I-TEQ/g dry). As a result of isomer profile analysis, it is showed that 1 site was influenced by incinerator and 4 sites by PCP. PCA result shows that 1 site was influenced by incinerator and 5 sites by PCP. Through comparison of these two results, it is showed that sources of 4 sites were coincided. Therefore, using PCA and isomer profile analysis simultaneously can reduce an error in source estimation and show more objective result in pollution property of PCDD/Fs.

To scrutinize the biological effects of plankton communities to bacterial community, the total bacterial numbers, chlorophyll a concentration and phytoplankton, zooplankton communities were analyzed in Lake Soyang from May 13, to July 14, 1994. At Om depth, total bacterial numbers positively correlated with chlorophyll a concentration. On the other hand, at 2m depth, the two parameters had negative correlation. At the middle of the June, when dominants of phytoplankton, zooplankton were changing, the bacterial numbers dropped down. These results suggest that as the Anabaena becoming dominant species, the some zooplankton species changed to bacterivore. The bacterial community was mainly effected by phytoplankton at Om, and by zooplankton at 2m depth.
수생관속식물이 우점하는 호수에서 부유 세균과 부착세균 개체수의 계절적 변화

To find out the relationship between macrophyte and bacteria, the numbers of free-living bacteria and attached bacteria in two macrophytes dominant ponds were estimated weekly from May to August, 1995. The free-living bacterial numbers and attached bacterial numbers removed from macrophytes with stomacher were measured by the Acridine Orange Direct Count method. The free-living bacterial numbers were ranged 0.3x10^6∼2.3×1066 cells·ml^-1, and those were not correlated to chlorophyll a concentration. The maximum peak were appeared at flowering period. The attached bacterial numbers on N. tetragona, N. indica and A. calamus were ranged 2.4×10^6∼16.4×10^6 cells ·cm^-2, 10.6×10^6∼101.5x10^6cells ·cm^-2 and 2.3×10^6∼14.5x10^6cells ·cm^-2, respectively. The attached bacterial numbers of same pond were different from each host macrophyte. Just after the flowering period of each macrophyte, the attached bacterial number had maximum, which means that the bacterial community was affeced by the life cycle of macrophytes.
수생관속 식물이 우점하는 연못에서의 B - glucosidase 활성도 변화

For determing the ecological roles of free-living bacteria and epiphytic bacteria on marophytes (Acorus calamus, Nymphaea tetragona, Nymphoides indica), the β-glucosidase activities of free-living and attached bacteria were investigated at two ponds weekly from May, 1995 to August, 1995. The β-glucosidase activities of pond water of Yeonjeokji and Sesimjeong were ranged 35∼1073 nmol 1^-1 hr^-1 and 30∼898 nmol 1^-1 hr^-1, respectively. At Yeonjeokji, where the phytoplankton was abundance, the variations of β-glucosidase activity correlated with the chlorophyll a concentration, while at the Sesimjeong, where the macrophyte was abundance, the correlation between activity and chlorophyll a concentration was not appeared. The areal activity of A. calamus, N. tetragona, N. indica were varied 16∼437, 223∼149537 and 19∼2396 nM cm^-2 hr^-1, respectively. The lowest areal peaks of activities of three macrophytes were appeared during the flowering period. At Yeonjeokji, the specific activity of epiphytic bacteria on N. tetragona was higher than that of free-living bacteria during the late spring, but it was lower during the summer. In other hand, the specific activity of epiphytic bacteria on N. indica, was 200∼500 times higher than that of free-living bacteria. At Sesimjeong, variation of the specific activity of epiphytic bacteria on A. calamus was similar to that of free-living bacteria. These results suggest that bacterial mineralization rates are affected by the kind of macrophytes, their physicological state and limnological characteritics.
